It's eclectic influence and style is well reflected in the first EP of the band, called also "Le Ministère". Active since 2020, Le Ministère has been playing in the Brussels and Belgium scene for a while. From the stages in the capital to open air scenarios in Fête de la Musique in Liège, sharing the stage with the likes of Echofarmer. Mobilhome is a jazz quintet based in Brussels formed around pianist  Camille-Alban Spreng. Following the over kitch statement: "music is where your home is", they lead the listener on a stony countryside path,  full of dangerous turns and smoggy landscapes. Wajdi Riahi Trio was formed in Brussels in 2020. The strong bonds between these three young musicians translates to a solid, cohesive dynamic in their playing. Following a proposal from Fresh Sound Records, Wajdi decided to write a new repertory for the trio. The new music is rhythmically, melodically, and harmonically varied, and each song tells a true story from Wajdi’s life, and that honesty comes through in the trio’s playing.

Bodies is a quartet born in Brussels in January 2022, gathered around the music of saxophone player Alejandra Borzyk, Chae Yeon Lee (keys), Mateusz Malcharek (electric bass) and Elie Gouleme (drums). Bodies melt the sounds of modern jazz and improvisations into different danceable grooves like drum’n’bass, dream pop or techno, using different effects to create an ambiguous but groovy soundscape.

KASSIUS isn't new in town but after a reflective and creative periode during the pandemic, they feel like KASSIUS has finally become what it was meant to be. They threw out the music sheets and started producing their music in the studio, then bringing it to a live composition. In the rehearsal room they only focus on the live aspect and try to have a good time: "if you manage to capture the energy of a couple of friends in a room just having fun, a song can't be bad".

KAU trio. is an international trio based in Brussels. They met at the age of 13 in an international school and felt immediately a connection between them because of their love for music. After being together in a school rock band, the pandemic created a new moment to start a new project. They call their music instrumental jazz hiphop. For some tracks they invite other musicians but: "it's just like making bread and then you add the sauce on top. The sauce is the guest, we are the bread." This is just one of the many oneliners. Kuna Maze est producteur, DJ et musicien. Il aime jongler entre ses différentes casquettes mais aussi avec les genres musicaux: “entre le jazz et la musique électronique, il n’y a plus vraiment de frontière. Pour moi il n’y a pas une grosse difference. Ce n’est pas contradictoire de mixer de la house, du broken beat ou du UK garage et d’avoir un projet jazz avec des instrumentistes.” Voici le projet le plus récent de ce mille-pattes musical; des tracks produits à la maison et joués en live sur scène: “on va reconnaître les tracks mais ce n’est pas joué pareil”. ECHT! est un groupe de potes qui sont complémentaires au niveau humain et musical. Il n’y a pas de rôles spécifiques à distribuer, tout le monde est un leader dans le groupe, sinon “c’est comme une poule sans tête”. En écrivant la musique à 4, ils se sentent comme une famille. Grâce au confinement ils ont trouvé l’identité sonore de ECHT! et leur premier album INWANE est “comme un bon vin”. Pour la suite et des multiples déclarations amoureuses, écoutez le podcast.

Aishinka se fonde avant tout sur une sincère amitié. Le groupe réunit 7 musiciens qui se sont rencontrés au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. Aishinka puise dans les chants polyphoniques de Bulgarie et pourtant, ils n’y ont jamais joué et appréhendent même un peu d’y aller: “si on y va, peut-être qu'ils vont nous détester parce qu’ils vont penser qu’on a complètement détruit leur musique. On ne sait pas du tout comment on va être reçu"

TUKAN a vu le jour pendant la crise sanitaire. En plus, leur premier concert devant un vrai public a eu lieu pendant la première étape du Concours Circuit devant un jury de 30 personnes: “je me souviens de ce que je me disais dans ma tête juste avant le concert: je n’ai absolument aucune idée si ce qu’on a fait sonne bien ou si c’est absolument horrible.” Pour la suite, écoutez le podcast sur TUKAN.
