In September 2017, Nikki Addimando, a young mom of two, shot her partner of nine years, Chris Grover. Nikki was sentenced to 19 years to life in prison for murder but she claims she was acting in self-defense. From ages 5 to 15, Amanda Mittermaier trained at Mr. Todd’s Gymnastics Studio. Now, the former gymnast talks to Believe Her producer Giulia Hjort about being coached by both Nikki and Chris, and her thoughts on what happened on September 27, 2017. On September 28, 2017, Nikki Addimando, in a panic, called her friend Elizabeth Clifton. Elizabeth drove to the police station to take care of Nikki’s kids while Nikki was brought in for questioning.
