Since her passing last November, I have been trying to reconcile the fact that she really slipped out of here without saying goodbye or even an “I’m headed out!” 😂 To know Chat was to know she was always going to get a giggle in, and that was just one of the many reasons she was my girl. Last year, I felt a push to talk about grief on the podcast: grief in death, grief at the end of a relationship, and even the grief of not being where you thought you would be in life. What I didn’t know then was that I would soon be grieving the passing of my own cousin. So, I packed the idea up because I wasn’t ready to talk about grief anymore…until now. In Part I of Grief & Glory, I share what I am learning through the passing of Chat, what it looks like to carry a grief I cannot fix, and how I am finding God in the middle of it all. I know I’m not the only one out here trying to figure out how to grieve, keep living, and hold on to my faith at the same time. So, let’s walk it down together. As RIM teaches people how to protect, collect, and preserve evidence in the event they are victimized.  The ultimate goal is to assist in equipping each individual with the tools to achieve healing. Send us Fan Mail My brother John came home for Thanksgiving this year. After having some trouble with his rental, what was suppose to be a week trip ended up turning into a three week adventure. During his visit, we were able to reconnect in a way that we hadn't in years. After watching my brother rebuild his life this year at age 27, this episode was important for us to record. In this episode,  John and I will discuss his change in religious practices four years ago, how he shared this decision with our Christian family and how we have grown beyond a moment that has torn families apart. This episode is about honesty, it's about healing and most importantly it's about reconciliation.
