Rested XP is a New World Podcast hosted by MTBtrigger and Ronal. On this episode, MTBtrigger and Ronal talk about their first run through the Dynasty Expedition.  The expedition was technically for characters of slightly lower level compared to the pair at level 60.  Dynasty still posed a challenge as this was MTB’s first attempt at healing in New World and Ronal’s first experience with tanking.  Both have extensive experience in both categories in other MMOs, but the action combat system allows for and creates unique challenges which the pair discusses in this episode. In addition to the role changes, MTB also talked about the Void Gauntlet, the new weapon added in the 1.1 patch.  The weapon seemed like a natural pair to the life staff, but MTB found the synergies to run deep with both weapons which was further solidified by the challenging encounters in Dynasty. Rested XP is a New World Podcast hosted by MTBtrigger and Ronal. After a brief hiatus, MTBTrigger and Ronal return to talk about the thing that lures all of us into the games we love… having fun.  Life tends to throw curveballs and our hosts get them just like everybody else.  MTB talks about how he needed a game, which ended up being New World, to just be able to sit down and relax for 20 minutes during a 12 day sickness streak led by his kids. Ronal uses this opportunity to dig into what parts of the game both of the hosts find to be fun and specifically they dive into what they do with small pockets of time.  Both have very different strategies and objectives when faced with limited time to game. Gathering in New World is presented to you in one of the very first quests you get upon character creation and is pointed out on nearly every environment and creature based interaction in the game. Ronal and MTBtrigger dive deep, or perhaps mine deep, into all things gathering in this episode.  The episode starts with their strategy for gathering professions after learning that one character has access to all professions.  They go on to talk about the differences between New World and other MMOs, as it relates to gathering. On the surface, having access to everything can make the crafting, refining, and gathering systems seem “bland” or “easy,” but Ronal and MTB talk about how having access to everything and how connected they are actually leads to interesting decisions. How did you manage the lack of bag space in the beginning of the game? Did you focus on one gathering profession? Or did you do all of them like MTBtrigger did? MTBtrigger and Ronal are starting a New World Podcast!
