Everyone loves the original and we've gotten a couple of remakes/reboots in the last few years, but chances are you've either forgotten about or heard bad things about the 1989 sequel. This morning let's take a look at Last Night in Soho, Edgar Wright's horror/thriller/drama about a fashion student dreaming of 1960s London. Rob and Zack get riled up about Paul Verhoeven's 1997 ultra-violent sci-fi spectacle Starship Troopers. Spoilers ahead for a 24 year old movie. Editor's Notes 1. Rob remembered correctly about a dick shooting scene in Robocop. It's weird that Zack's mind immediately went to the much more explicit fan film version. 2. The line from The Emperor's New Groove is actually "Come on men, nobody lives forever!" which Zack still thinks might be a reference.

Did you enjoy Dune but find yourself left with questions? Beware of SPOILERS this week as Rob and Zack discuss Denis Villeneuve's Dune Part 1 from two perspectives; Zack has read the book and Rob hasn't. Zack answers all of Rob's questions, half-remembers the book's lore, mispronounces its proper nouns, and tries not to spoil anything from Part 2. Big props to Rob for powering through the recording while recovering from a root canal.  Editor's Notes  1: Liet Kynes is in fact the JUDGE of the Change, not the HERALD as Zack and Rob mistakenly say a few times. 2: Rob and Zack were thinking of Maesters in Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire). Zack feels terrible shame that he never remembered.
