We may have a hard time getting through this one without losing it...I (Kaitlin) worked with the then-prosecutor on this case, not during the case, and I know how deeply he internalized the horrors that this little girl went through. Joe McBride, who is now a New York Supreme Court judge, is an amazing human being, and I can not say enough about the outstanding character of this man. The literal monster that robbed this little baby angel of her future deserved so much worse than what he got, but Joe did the very best that he could to get justice for little Jacelyn. This week, Ryan chose the case that we're (he is) covering and we're staying on topic of fallen rap stars...this is the tragic murder of beloved Los Angeles hero, Nipsey Hussle. Hussle was a beacon of light for the Crenshaw community in Los Angeles, California who made strides to eliminate violence in the area and worked to promote peace between the LAPD and the locals. Hussle also was a generous soul, who was always willing to provide clothes, shoes, and other necessities to those who were trying to start their lives anew and make the best of their freedom after serving time in prison. Not only was he an incredibly talented musical artist, he was a phenomenal human being.
