It's Been a Long Time Getting from There To Here
2026/09/03
Send us Fan Mail Can you believe it! This is the 100th episode. Jeff and Bryan use this episode to look back at the previous 99 to be nostalgic... or maybe they just ran out of ideas. This has been a Froods for Thought production.
Would You Rather Have Nothing?... Star Trek Edition
2026/08/06
Send us Fan Mail A couple of months ago, Jeff and Bryan discussed the merits of spinoffs and reboots. They decided that, like them or not, it is better than having nothing to watch. Because of the vastness of the Star Trek TV catalog, it was not discussed. In this episode Jeff and Bryan, mostly Bryan, will talk about their feelings about everything Star Trek TV. This has been a Froods for Thought production.
Another Year, Another FanEXPO Phiily
2026/07/02
Send us Fan Mail Once again Jeff and Bryan retell the highlights of their experience attending the Fan EXPO Philadelphia pop culture convention. However, all of the lights were not as high as they have been in previous years. This has been a Froods for Thought production.
Don't Panic by Neil Gaiman
2026/06/04
Send us Fan Mail Jeff and Bryan talk about the points of interest each of them found while reading Neil Gaiman's biography of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. This has been a Froods for Thought production.
Would You Rather Have Nothing?
2026/05/07
Send us Fan Mail With the expansion of properties created by Douglas Adams after his death, Jeff and Bryan ask each other this question a lot... If you do not want others to expand his works, would you rather have nothing at all? The answer is always YES. However, there are mixed feelings about it. So, Jeff and Bryan are going to discuss reboots and sequels of other works in the sci-fi/fantasy genre and point out their opinions of the ones that worked and the ones that gave it a good try... even if they haven't seen them. This has been a Froods for Thought production.
I Wish I Knew Reg Was a Time Lord
2026/04/02
Send us Fan Mail In 1980, the Doctor Who episode, Shada, was started but never completed and was shelved never to be seen. In 1992, a VHS reconstruction of the episode was released with Tom Baker doing an introduction and filling in missing scenes via narrative description. In 2003, Big Finish did a remake of it with Paul McGann as the Doctor using limited flash animation. In 2017, a version was released as a movie (rather than in six episodic segments) with animated restoration and the original cast doing the voices for the missing scenes. The main focus will be on the 2017 movie, but Jeff and Bryan will touch on all the versions. This has been a Froods for Thought production.
It's Hard To Keep a Bad Parrot Down
2026/03/05
Send us Fan Mail Way back in 1998, Jeff and Bryan both bought a brand new CD ROM game with a revolutionary new conversation engine. It was Douglas Adams' Starship Titanic. Fast-forward 28 years and they decided to buy, from GOG.com, a re-released version compatible with todays operating systems. They discovered while playing it that they remembered almost nothing about solving the puzzles. Here they will talk about their feelings about the game and their journey through it. They will also present all the puzzles and their solutions. I would say "spoiler alert," however, you would be hard pressed to remember any of it. This has been a Froods for Thought production.
BBC Radio's Starship Titanic
2026/02/05
Send us Fan Mail Jeff and Bryan discuss The BBC Radio's production of Douglas Adams' Starship Titanic... which they performed about as fast as they could. This has been a Froods for Thought production.
Dirk Gently Comic Bonus Shorts
2026/01/01
Send us Fan Mail Volume three, The Salmon of Doubt, of the Dirk Gently comic books had bonus shorts at the end of seven of the nine3 issues. They lined up with the television series and did not follow any of the storylines of the comic. Jeff and Bryn are going to look at them all at once now since they did not cover them as part of their review of the issues in which they appeared. Sudden Massive Existence Failure - Part 2
2025/12/18
Send us Fan Mail Jeff and Bryan discuss the second half of the novel Starship Titanic. The novel was written by Terry Jones while Douglas Adams was working on the CD ROM game. They were to be released simultaneously. Even though the Starship Titanic was born in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy universe, it did not stay there. This has been a Froods for Thought production.
