I Didn't See That Coming
2026/09/20
Have you ever looked back and realized God was at work long before you could see it? Ruth 2 reminds us that some of God’s greatest work happens quietly, unexpectedly, and right in the middle of ordinary life.
When God Sets The Stage
2026/09/13
Join us at DOXA this Sunday as we begin our new sermon series in the book of Ruth! As we begin in Chapter 1, we can see how God is setting the stage for the beautiful narrative He plans to unfold in the lives of Ruth and Naomi. Through this story, God reveals that even when He seems farthest from us, He is setting the stage to show His faithfulness to us!
What About The Holy Spirit?
2026/09/06
What difference does the Holy Spirit actually make in your everyday life? When you’re hurting, confused, convicted, or unsure what to do next, Jesus promised that you are not left on your own. In fact, he specifically explains that the Holy Spirit provides a significant advantage to living life in a fallen world. Join us this Sunday as we discover What is so advantageous about the Holy Spirit.
Live Out The Gospel
2026/08/30
What happens when the gospel moves from something we believe to something we actually live out? In the final verses of Philemon, Paul shows us how the gospel changes the way we receive, forgive, encourage, and refresh one another. Join us this Sunday as we discover what it looks like to live out the gospel in everyday relationships.
How to Handle Conflict in the Church
2026/08/23
Conflict in the church can leave deep wounds, fractured relationships, and lasting pain. But the gospel doesn’t just save us, it changes the way we respond when we’ve been hurt. This Sunday, we’ll discover from Philemon 8-16 how the gospel provides a pathway toward healing and reconciliation.
Faith Moves! Pleasing God with our Obedience
2026/08/16
This Sunday, we will be taking a pause on our Philemon study to hear from guest speaker Kevin Phillips! Kevin is the Founder and President of the For All Mankind Movement (FAMM), an organization with a vision to reach the unreached with the gospel, equip them in disciple-making and church planting, and send them as missionaries to their own people! Join us as Kevin teaches about faith that is pleasing to God.
A Gospel-Prayer
2026/08/09
For many of us, prayer is like the emergency button behind the glass. We ignore it when life is going well. But when the diagnosis comes, the relationship breaks, the money runs out, or the future becomes uncertain—That’s when we break the glass. Prayer becomes our last resort instead of our first response. But Paul’s prayer in Philemon is not driven by panic. It is driven by a deep and burning desire to see the gospel have a powerful effect in the life of his friend. You see, Paul understood that God is his Father and delights in the opportunity to help him. But I wonder, do you believe the same thing about God? And do you pray like that?
What Changed?
2026/08/02
Is there someone in your life you hope you never see again? Maybe they betrayed you, lied to you, or took advantage of you. What if, instead of feeling angry or anxious when you think about them, you could experience deep and reassuring peace? This Sunday, we are beginning a new series through the letter to Philemon called "The Gospel Changes Everything". Together, we will discover that the gospel doesn’t just change where we spend eternity—it has the power to change how we see the people who have hurt us most.
Compassion and Blind Spots
2026/07/26
During busy days does it ever seem that some things can go by almost without notice: background sounds, daily routines, places that we pass every day on the drive home? Your car has tools such as cameras, warning lights and alarms, and mirrors to make sure that other cars don’t “disappear” in our blind spots, but in our daily lives, people can sometimes come and go without notice. This Sunday we will revisit the parable of the unmerciful servant and explore some reminders of our own blind spots.
God's Relentless Pursuit
2026/07/19
We have all experienced the panic of losing something important. Our keys, our wallet, or our phone. Suddenly, nothing else matters until we find it. But what does God do when one of His people wanders? In the Parable of the Lost Sheep, Jesus reveals the relentless heart of God toward His people and challenges us to reflect that same care toward one another. Join us this Sunday as we unpack “God’s Relentless Pursuit” from Matthew 18:10–14.
What Life Are You Building?
2026/07/12
"Build your life on Jesus." Where does that phrase come from? In the closing words of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells a parable about two builders and reveals that the wise builder is the one who hears His words and obeys them. Though storms come and the final judgment awaits, the life built on Christ will stand because its foundation is the Lord Himself. Join us as we discover what it means to build our lives on Jesus—the only foundation that secures our future for eternity.
What Is Your Greatest Treasure?
2026/07/05
Have you ever considered what the most valuable thing you possess is? You may think of your wedding ring or the love of your family and friends. This week we are going to discuss the Kingdom of Heaven, what it means to us, and how it affects our lives.
Selfism
2026/06/28
Our culture tells us the path to happiness is simple: be true to yourself, follow your heart, and chase your dreams. But despite all our freedom and opportunity, anxiety is rising, relationships are struggling, and many people still feel empty. What if we've been insidiously seduced to believe another gospel without even noticing? This Sunday, we'll conclude our series The 7 Deadly Sins of Suburbia by exposing the root beneath them all: Selfism. In Luke 9, Jesus offers a radically different way to live—one that requires surrender but leads to the life we were created to enjoy. If you've ever wondered why success, comfort, or even accomplishment never seem to satisfy, this message is for you.
Unforgiveness
2026/06/21
The hardest prison to escape is the one built by unforgiveness. When someone hurts you deeply, revenge feels justified and forgiveness feels impossible. But Jesus teaches that the way we extend mercy reveals whether we’ve truly grasped the mercy we’ve received. This Sunday, we’ll open Matthew 18:21–35 and discover why forgiven people become forgiving people—and why the price of holding onto a grudge is always higher than we imagine.
