L'Amour de l'Art : Miossec ♡ Sophie Calle
2026/05/19
The Love of Art: Danielle Orchard ♡ Milton Avery
2026/04/17
Danielle Orchard explores the representation of the female form in a multi-perspectival manner. Her figures resist existing solely as psychological portraits or objects for the gaze, instead they emerge through a complex orchestration of color, line, and space. While the concept of the female nude is deeply ingrained in art history as a muse and has more recently been established as a subject of study, Orchard adds depth by infusing her own experiences, having trained, posed, and even taught in life drawing classes. In this episode, she talks about painter Milton Avery.   In The Love of Art podcast, artists are invited to speak about other artists that fascinate them (musicians, writers, filmmakers, actors, designers…) in a very personal way.   The Love of Art (L'Amour de l'Art) is a podcast by Perrotin   The episode with Danielle Orchard was recorded on March 12, 2026 at Perrotin Paris.   Interview conducted by: Vanessa Clairet Stern   Production and sound design: Seb Lascoux   Language: English   Graphic design: Perrotin   Music: CDM Music Hébergé par Ausha. The Love of Art: GaHee Park ♡ Han Kang
2025/05/22
In GaHee Park’s paintings, time and place are indeterminate, operating from a position of productive ambivalence. Figures are caught between creation and destruction, seduction and pragmatism, biology and desire. She often depicts intimate scenes where the idyll has turned sour and where art history’s favorite still life subjects—rotund fruit, dissected fish, and lurid cocktails—are caught in a surrealist collapse of time and space. In this episode, she talks about Korean writer Han Kang.   In The Love of Art podcast, artists are invited to speak about other artists that fascinate them (musicians, writers, filmmakers, actors, designers…) in a very personal way.   The Love of Art (L'Amour de l'Art) is a podcast by Perrotin   The episode with GaHee Park was recorded on March 27, 2025 at Perrotin Paris.   Interview conducted by: Vanessa Clairet Stern   Production and sound design: Seb Lascoux   Language: English   Graphic design: Perrotin   Music: CDM Music Hébergé par Ausha. The Love of Art: Nikki Maloof ♡ Domenico Gnoli
2025/01/17
Nikki Maloof's paintings depict the world hidden within the mind. Imagined interiors and animals become proxies for the human experience. Her subjects often convey existential loneliness, but are buoyed by humor, capricious painting, and the use of a saturated palette. In this episode, she talks about Italian painter and stage designer Domenico Gnoli.     In The Love of Art podcast, artists are invited to speak about other artists that fascinate them (musicians, writers, filmmakers, actors, designers…) in a very personal way.   The Love of Art (L'Amour de l'Art) is a podcast by Perrotin   The episode with Nikki Maloof was recorded on November 22, 2024 at Perrotin Paris.   Interview conducted by: Vanessa Clairet Stern   Production and sound design: Seb Lascoux   Language: English   Graphic design: Perrotin   Music: CDM Music Hébergé par Ausha. The Love of Art: Klara Kristalova ♡ Women Surrealists
2024/05/28
Klara Kristalova constructs an odd yet familiar world, inhabited by figures evoking rawness, vulnerability, and humanity. The landscape, though not directly represented, is an essential component of Klara Kristalova’s universe, inferred in fragments from the drawings, ceramics, and bronzes that populate the dark and mysterious exhibitions she has unveiled in recent years.
