From Frosty Fan to Friend with Renee Winterbottom

Host Tenayah McLeod and returning guest Renee Winterbottom hit the road for a candid chat about their unlikely friendship. Renee was instrumental in Tenayah's early career, opening the door to the Supercars paddock. While volunteering at Supercar events, Tenayah always had a camera close by, filming her brother racing motocross. Jill Johnson has seen about all there is to see when it comes to the Australian motorsport scene. Jillie has been by Dick Johnson's side from the days of the Shell servo in Woolloongabba, to 'The Rock' in 1980, to becoming a 5x Australian Touring Car Champion. In this episode, Jillie takes us back to where it all started - meeting DJ when he was a mechanic, to getting married and having a honeymoon that co-incided with a race meeting at Oran Park. Jillie talks through her recollection of the Tru-Blu Falcon hitting 'The Rock' in 1980, through to the Ford funding fan program to get Dick back on track, to ultimately win the 1981 James Hardie 1000 in dramatic fashion.
