Catch Up with Lindsay and Bobby from Who Weekly? (!!)
2026/09/18
Guys, this week I got to interview the hosts of my favourite podcast Who Weekly? Lindsay Weber and Bobby Finger are my go-to voices on pop culture, celebrity and its interaction with the media and society. They make me laugh with every episode, and I feel incredibly lucky to be a Wholigan (thanks for bringing me in Emer McLysaght.) Lindsay and Bobby's book, I Want to Be Famous: When Everybody and Nobody is a Celebrity, explores fame and its interaction with society beautifully. I devoured it, and I know you will too when it comes out on September 29. To support the podcast and access bonus episodes, join the community on Patreon here. Hosted on Acast. Catch Up on Integration with Dublin Camogie Captain Aisling Maher
2026/09/11
A lot of people are learning this week for the first time that women's gaelic games are not a part of the GAA, so I thought it might be good for us to chat to someone in on the action who can explain why that is, why it's a problem, and where we go from here. Catch Up with Roisin Kiberd
2026/09/04
When I heard that Irish writer and creative writing lecturer Roisin Kiberd had written a book of essays on beauty, I knew I had to read it. Once I'd read it, I knew I had to chat to her about it, so that's what you're going to hear today. The Most Normal Woman explores Roisin's relationship with beauty, beauty ideals, beauty niches and beauty standards and I absolutely loved it. Catch Up on Facing Death with Professor Kimberly D. Acquaviva
2026/08/28
Today’s guest is Professor Kimberly D. Acquaviva. Kimberly has spent more than a decade working in education around inclusivity for LGBTQIA people in end of life care, A year and a half after she published LGBTQ-Inclusive Hospice & Palliative Care: A Practical Guide to Transforming Professional Practice in 2017, Kim learned that her wife Kathy had ovarian cancer. Kim and Kathy spent the next six months sharing their experiences via social media and giving people a sense of what it's like to be living while dying.  Shortly after Kathy died in August 2019, a New Yorker documentary film was made about Kim, Kathy, and their son Greyson.   Kimberly is coming to Ireland as part of Palliative Care week, and I was so happy to catch up with her this week ahead of her trip.
