You can pray with all your heart and still wake up the next day carrying the same burden. So does that mean you didn’t have enough faith, or that you prayed “wrong”? Today I’m answering a listener’s question: if we believe God heard us, why do we keep praying for the same thing again and again?  Prayer is not a formula and repeated prayer is not something God is irritated by.  If you’ve been praying for your children, your family, or a heavy situation and you’re tired of feeling guilty for “asking again,” I hope this brings you steadiness and hope. In this episode we go deep on why praying for your children can feel so hard. Prayer is holy work because it brings us into God’s light, and that light doesn’t just reveal what our kids need, it reveals what we’ve been carrying. If you’ve been stuck in mom guilt, regret, or shame about past parenting mistakes, I address the fear that those failures disqualify you. They don’t. The enemy wants you hiding, but Jesus invites you to come close, repent where you need to, receive healing, and pray freely again. I talk about why the most important work we do is believing in Jesus, and why everything else we do for God has to flow from that root. Survival mode doesn’t always look like a meltdown. Sometimes it looks like a capable mom who keeps the house running, loves Jesus, serves everyone, and still feels exhausted, numb, and quietly resentful.
