Reclaiming Sexual Health in Midlife and Beyond with Andrea Martin
2026/02/05
In this candid and empowering episode of Meet Your Body, Jessica sits down with Andrea Martin, a board-certified women’s health practitioner and sexual health specialist, for an open, honest, and refreshingly real conversation about sexual health as we age. Together, they break down the changes many women experience during perimenopause and menopause — and the solutions, support, and options that are often left out of the conversation. With a blend of science-backed information, practical resources, and plenty of lightheartedness, Jessica and Andrea normalize what can feel confusing or isolating and remind women that pleasure, comfort, and confidence are absolutely possible at every stage of life. In this episode, they discuss: • How sexual health and desire naturally shift with age• Support for low libido, pain, difficulty with orgasm, and more• Why pleasure matters (and how to reclaim it)• The role of hormone replacement therapy — including considerations after breast cancer• Practical tools and resources to help you feel your best This episode is equal parts educational, validating, and empowering — a must-listen for any woman who wants to better understand her body, advocate for her needs, and feel more connected to her sexual wellness. Andrea Martin has been a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner since 2015 and earned her doctorate in nursing in 2018. She has spent most of her career focusing on pelvic floor disorders, the menopause transition, and sexual health. She is an active member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health and most recently opened her own telemedicine practice, Glow Health, serving patients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. In her free time, she enjoys aggressively spoiling her rescue pets and cross-stitching nerdy medical-humor designs. The Importance of Rest

She dives into: - What true rest is and isn't - The physiological changes in your body when you experience rest - The value of five minute changes throughout your day - Specific actions you can take starting today to make rest a part of your life From over committing to doom scrolling to wanting to have that perfect image for social media, we have lost our connection to rest in our lives.
