S6-EP5 Fearghal Feckin' Madness
2026/09/18
We could not believe it's been over two feckin years since we have had our good friend Fearghal Traynor on the Priestcast. We suck. Jeff just visited Fearg in Dublin last month though so he's off the hook but Jay's just a bad friend. We hope all is forgiven this week as we get caught up with all the goings on in Feargs life. We hit on marriage, Freak Pointing, mutuals, travel, music and a lot more. Did you know Fearg is also a hilarious comedian?
The Priest Family Madness tournament moves on with the epic Sad Wings Of Destiney Vs. KK's Priest Sermons Of The Sinner. We may have been a little brutal towards KK's record.
The Spinner year was 2004. Some really good records were discussed.

S6-EP4 Professor Jonas and the Metal Religion
2026/09/04
This week we welcome Jonas back to the Priestcast. Jonas is a professor of sociology and co author of a book about the sociology of religion. Holy shite, a hell of a topic to discuss and we deep dive into the relationship between metal and religion and trip down some rabbit holes along the way. We hope you all dig it as much as we did.
The Priest Family Madness rolls on with Priest's debut Rocka Rolla taking on Rob Halford and family's Christmas record "Celestial".
The Spinner Year was 2009. A great year in music

S6-EP3 3Greybeards4Namedrops with Paul
2026/08/21
This week we welcome back the man from Man, man. If you are ever driving a vehicle on The Isle Of Man watch out for Paul-he just acquired his driving license at age 56. BEWARE! Paul has enough stories to fill 100 podcasts so even after his fourth appearance on the Priestcast we've barely scratched the surface. And of course Paul knows everyone so there were plenty of name drops. We get another segment of "Who's the Killing Machine" in. Will Paul and Jay be embarrassing posers once again or will they actually get it?
The Priest Family Madness rolls on with two "comeback" albums squaring off in the sweet 16- Painkiller Vs. Angel Of Retribution. Will it be a blowout? Stardate 2011 was the Spinner year. Obviously Jay was smoking Stardust when he made his pick.

S6-EP2 Faithkeeper Madness and Scotch with Bill
2026/07/31
It's another Bill week! No, we're not paying bills, we're paying homage to the most prolific music podcaster in the world, Bill. As always with our good friend, we discuss a lot of music and shows which is always interesting being that Bill lives in Australia. This episode was recorded a few hours after Judas Priest kicked off the Faithkeepers tour so of course we discuss the setlist. We also get the full story behind #31DaysOfScotch.
We kick off the second round of Priest Family Madness tournament with Priests latest record Invincible Shield Vs. Halford Crucible. Who will move on to the Elite Eight?
The Spinner year is 1991. A hell of a year for music. Our picks just might surprise you.

S6-EP1 Priest All Stars with Sam
2026/07/24
It's been a minute (as the kids say) but we're finally back! We kick off a new season with the dude that helped kick off this whole Priestcast 2.0 thing, our good friend Sam. Sam is our resident baseball expert and commissioner of our fantasy baseball league. Yes Jeff, you're in a fantasy league, pay attention dude! Anyway, despite forgetting he was even in a league, Jeff still has a better record than Jay. Typical.
This time around we pick an All-Star roster of Judas Priest tracks. With over 50 years and 19 records, how do we narrow it down?
The Spinner gonna party like it's 1999. What records did we pick in this Prince of a year?

S5-EP19 Demolition Machine with Melissa
2026/05/22
This week we welcome back our good friend and music festival world traveler, Melissa (@METALCHATPOD) We get caught up with Melissas latest journey to Greece with Fearghal which included some good ol fashioned road stories and a lot of music and beer. We chat about a lot of social media mutuals along with future travel plans and bands and festivals and beer and wine and all kind of shenanigans.
The first round of the Priest Family Madness tournament concludes with two albums that are at opposite ends of most Priest fans album rankings with Killing Machine Vs. Demolition. The end of the first round also brings us to the end of season five.
The Spinner year was 2008 and there were no surprises, just great album recommendations.

S5-EP18 Jonas Priest and the Edge Of Firepower
2026/05/08
This week we welcome Jonas onto the Priestcast. Jonas is way too smart to be on a podcast with Jay. Luckily Jeff was able to have an intelligent conversation with our brilliant guest. Jonas tells us about how his metal journey started. Yes-it involves an older brother and No-it does not involve Kiss! We discuss a ton of bands and genres including Post Metal which Jay had never heard of. Jonas lets us in on how metal inspired his carer path and what roll metal played in his view of the world and in parenting. A fantastic discussion that left us wanting more.
The Priest Family Madness Tournament rolls on with an interesting matchup between Edge Of the World by Tipton, Entwistle and Powell and Firepower. Any guesses how this one went?
The Spinner year was 2001. We all had awesome picks this time around.

S5-EP17 British Victim Madness with Gav
2026/04/17
This week we welcome in our favorite smart ass and fellow Kiss hater, Gavin O'Connor. Gav is a Twitter legend with his controversial and witty takes on music and politics and life in general. We hear Gav's music and Priest story along with a chat about Northern Irelands music scene. Of course a lot of music is discussed that Jay knows nothing about and Jeff could teach a class on.
Our Priest Family Madness tournament is both timely and historic with Judas Priest OG Al Atkins record Victim of Changes Vs. birthday boy British Steel. Both Al and British Steel played important rolls in the history of metal.
Speaking of history, the Spinner year was the historic year of 1975. Wow!

S5-EP16 Resurrecting Nostradamus with Hattie
2026/04/10
This week we welcome back a Priestcast OG, Hattie. We get caught up with Hattie and see what she's been up to. We get sidetracked though and end up chatting about the culinary delicacy of 2 stroke oil and we debate whether coffee is too liquidy. Hattie has a fascination and obsession with Boston and also tells us we need a sound board. One of us apparently frequently says weird things and one of us has ruined all of his plain white T's with salsa stains. Of course a lot of music is discussed as well.
The Priest Family Madness Tournament rolls on with Halford's Resurrection Vs Judas Priest Nostradamus. Will Jay's love for Nostradamus or Jeff's dislike of it take it over Resurrection? We'll let Hattie decide.
The Spinner year was 2002. Great year for Jeff, slim pickins for Jay. Of course we make interesting.

S5-EP15 Stained Class Rides Again with Squashy
2026/03/27
This week we welcome back our good friend Squashy. @FUTURESQUASH767 is always a fun and interesting conversation because he really knows his music. We get caught up on all of Squashy's latest concert escapades and he always hips us to a band or two we've never heard of. Jeff and Squashy shoot the breeze about a bunch of bands Jay's never heard as well as albums both new and old that are worthy of discussion. We also hear Jay's idiotic dating profile before we get into the Priest Family Madness tournament. This week's battle features the historic and influential Stained Class Vs. The Sinner Rides Again by KK's Priest. We could try to build some suspense regarding the winner but we respect you all too much for that.
The Spinner year was 2015. We all picked some great records definitely worth discussing.

S5-EP14 Defendulator Madness with Casper
2026/03/13
This week we welcome in Casper the friendly Ghost and Priest and metal fan. We have a rad conversation about a variety of things including how her dad put her aboard the Crazy Train to metal. We also discuss how Casper is a great humanitarian and wants freedom And Justice For All. Jeff and Casper reminisce about how every metal head knows or knew a Scandinavian exchange student named Bjorn that introduced them to foreign metal.
The Priest Family Madness Tournament rolls on with an interesting battle between two Priest records that could not be any more different- Defenders Of The Faith Vs. Jugulator. Could we have another first round upset?
The Spinner year is the only year Judas Priest released two records,1978. Jeff is not a 70s fan and it's Jays favorite decade of music. What will Casper pick?

S5-EP13 Sin For A Halo with Connor
2026/02/27
This week we welcome back to the Priestcast our favorite Londoner, Connor. Connor is a NWOTHM expert as well as a fantastic music podcaster and documentarian. Connor is also a wannabe teacher apparently and assigned Jeff and Jay some homework involving three bands and records they had never heard. Of course we give oral book reports on those three records as well as discuss a bunch of other bands and some upcoming tours.
The Priest Family Madness Tournament rolls on with a fun matchup between two records released 46 years apart with Sin After Sin Vs. Horns For A Halo by Elegant Weapons.
Never Fear, The Spinner is here with the Dark year of 1992.

S5-EP12 Ram It Deadly with Sam and Charlie
2026/01/30
This week we get caught up with our good friend and first ever guest on the podcast, Sam. Sam is always a great and thoughtful conversation because he is about the smartest person we know. We sit around and talk about everything and anything from country music to local soda pop and everything in between. Of course we talk alot of metal and even review the new Megadeth.
The Priest Family Madness tournament rolls on with an interesting matchup between two largely forgotten albums, Priest's Ram It Down Vs. Fight Small Deadly Space. I think Vegas had this as a pickum going in.
The reloaded Spinner spat out 1976. Jay was in a Rush to discuss his choice while Jeff is not the biggest 70s fan but hit a home run with his pick. Sam as always had a thoughtful and excellent pick.

S5-EP11 GTFO Madness with Hollywood and Dirty Jim
2026/01/16
This week we welcome in two dudes that have been best friends for over 30 years. They bonded over music back in the day and continued on as bandmates and started a music podcast years later. Hearing their high school and life stories will not only bring back memories of your high school years but also have you laughing your asses off.
The Priest Family Madness tournament rolls on with Jay's favorite record of all time, Sad Wings of Destiney taking on 2014's Redeemer Of Souls. Will we have another massive upset?
We have come to the last year on the ol Spinner wheel which was 2001. Have we really had 50 episodes? Crazy.

S5-EP10 Year End Madness with Squashy
2025/12/25
For our last show of 2025, we welcome back our good friend Squashy (@FUTURESQUASH767). We get caught up with our homie and all his shenanigans and concert escapades. We couldn't do a year end episode without an album of the year segment of course. Our Priest Family Madness tournament rolls on with another battle of first's: Two- Voyeurs Vs. KK's Priest-Sermons of the Sinner. The results were not unanimous. The Spinner year was 2021 and there are some surprises as usual.
