We're wrapping up the 2026 PLL Season! We start with the PLL Awards.  I go through some of the award winners that were different from what was on my ballot, and defend my thinking, particularly when it comes to the Faceoff spot and Coach of the Year. Then, we get into the PLL game itself. Unfortunately the game itself wasn't great. But we break down Denver's struggles in all phases, the Waterdogs shooting the lights out, CJ Kirst's brilliance, and addressing why we don't need to always rush right to historical comparisons for the sake of engagement. Then, we look towards the offseason. We start with what Denver and Philly may have to do to keep their rosters intact, examine why free agency will be hotter than usual this year, call out some names to watch, and talk through some broadcast changes when it comes to the way we watch the PLL. Final episode from PLL Championship Media Day! We got insight from some elite pros who aren't playing on Sunday. Whips defender and 3x DPOY Matt Dunn breaks down how he would defend these two elite offenses, Faceoff Specialist of the Year winner TD Ierlan takes us through the nuts and bolts of the faceoff matchup in the title game, then ROTY finalist Joey Spallina talks about his first year as a pro, and the keys to offensive success for both sides. It's Part Two of Media Day from PLL Championship Weekend!  Up next is the Denver Outlaws. We talk to Ryan Terefenko about defending the dynamic Philly midfield, Pat Kavanagh about the versatility of the offense, Jake Taylor about the skillsets of elite off ball players, and Tim Soudan about preparing his squad now that they've made it back to the title game. Part one of today's series from PLL Championship Weekend Media Day.  Here from Coach Bill Tierney, attackman Michael Sowers, attackman CJ Kirst, and midfielder Kyle Lewis ahead of Sunday's title game. We cover the youth vs experience balance on the roster, comparing Tierney's great Princeton attack groups to the Waterdogs attack, CJ Kirst as an offball threat, Lewis's journey from D2 to the pros, and more. It's a PLL Semifinal weekend as the last four standing will play on Monday for a spot in the title game. Before we get to that, we cover an interesting lacrosse salary question that was raised by the recent Kawhi Leonard and LA Clippers news. Will pro lacrosse have to close the salary loopholes that have long been accepted as the norm? Then, PLL Award finalists have been announced. We react to a few snubs, some interesting notes about the awards themselves, players making strong campaigns, and more. Finally, we preview the weekend. The defensive keys to the Denver/Utah matchup and individual players to watch including Tom Schreiber. Then the interesting team dynamics and balancing youth with experience for both Philly and Boston. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. It's playoff time! PLL Quarterfinals this weekend are being played in Minnesota, so we've got some Minnesota flavor for this episode. But first, we talk a bit about Team USA coming up short against Team Canada at the Pan Am Championships in Kingston. We cover the tournament as a whole, and Team USA's loss in the gold medal game, along with some thoughts on the nature of Team USA's play. Then, it's MN time. We talk to Alan Childs from the Minnesota Lacrosse Hall of Fame. We cover the growth of the sport in Minnesota, from its roots with the indigenous community, to organized lacrosse being played in the late 1800s, all the way up through today. We cover the modern state of the game in MN, the players going to play at the highest level, and that includes the latest Hall of Fame class which is being inducted at this weekend's games, headlined by Ryan McNamara. Finally, we talk about the two games on the schedule. Keys to the matchup between Denver and California, then Boston and Maryland. What I'll be looking for, and more. We've got a special episode, and a great interview for the pod. PLL Co Founder Mike Rabil joins and that's our whole episode today.  We talk the PLL starting earlier and the challenges that came with it, talk cards a bit, we talk a focus on growth over profitability, the recent fundraising round, the Olympics, and a ton more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

PLL second half is here! Before we get into this weekend's games, we talk about the big news in the lacrosse media world. We talk about Inside Lacrosse partnering with Yahoo Sports to launch a lacrosse media content hub. I've got some thoughts on how it can affect the way new fans reach the game, and how current fans consume their lacrosse media content. Then, we talk about some moves from this week. Specifically, we get into the Nikko DiPonio trade. It makes no sense for New York to do, and Utah gets to be the beneficiary. Finally, we preview this weekend's games. PLL is in Chicago playing games at Northwestern. All eight teams are in action, and we've got thoughts and notes on what to look for in each game. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. We're talking PLL all show today! First, it's All Star Weekend. We cover the All Star game itself, including why I think it's better than the all star game in most other sports. We talk about voting early, whether or not that really matters, and the nature of fan voted all star games. Then, it's the big news of the week. The PLL secured $100 million in a Series E financing round led by Ares and Joe Tsai. We talk the announcement, the celebrity investors including Glen Powell and Rob Mac, and the stated goals for the money. Then, we ask some questions about what the next two years will look like with this investment, and how the next major money event for the PLL will take shape. Finally, since it's the midway point, we take stock of the league. We look at the positional races across the PLL and make the case for some first timers at each position to win some hardware. We're back after a long time off! We're catching up and making up for lost time a bit. A few quick words on the Tewaaraton (because it's been that long), a few quick words on UVA which is messier every day, and then into the PLL. We spend a few minutes hashing out how the first month or so of the season has gone, and the challenges that come with schedule overlap, roster turnover, injuries, and everything else the league and fans have had to deal with in the early going. We touch on the PLL Fieldside II card set, and the mess it has become, and a few other things, before taking a positive turn. Then we get into this weekend's games, previewing all four matchups for Redwoods homecoming weekend. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. We're back! After some time off we've got a Championship Weekend episode.  First, a few notes about that time off and the future of the pod and Sticks In. Then, we recap some of the PLL action so far. We talk about game quality with so many players missing, guys seizing opportunities, and where each team was good and needs to improve after two weeks. Then, it's Championship Weekend. We talk about each of the matchups.  Can Duke find the depth to handle all of Princeton's threats? Can Johnston be productive against a tough matchup? Will Johnny Mullen tilt the field again? Does the winner of Lyght vs Spallina get the Tewaaraton? Can the Cuse SSDM's play their best game of the year? Plus, breakdowns of both the D2 and D3 title games, and the keys to upsetting juggernauts like Adelphi and Tufts. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The regular season is over, and it's NCAA tournament time. We start by looking back at the conference by conference predictions that we made before the season started. What did we get wrong, who did we miss, and what about the few things we managed to get right? Then, it's bracket talk. After shaming the NCAA a bit for letting it release early, we look at some of the stories. Princeton is the one seed, and it was clear by Sunday night why. Duke is in, despite the light schedule. Maryland is out for the first time in decades. UVA is as hot as a pistol, Richmond gets to host Duke, and a more resumes and games to look forward to. Finally, my final Top 20 until the end of the year. We had a media poll out today, I reveal how I voted. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. It's a PACKED friday episode. We start by celebrating that the boys are back. PLL training camp is underway. We talk through the earlier start, and some interesting names on the rosters. Plus, some thoughts on PLL coaches tendency to just go with guys they know, how it damages credibility in some cases, and makes it that much harder for guys to break into the PLL. Then, we talk about the solution to that problem. PLL Pro Day will happen in Baltimore in May, giving coaches and GMs the chance to evaluated invited undrafted players for their rosters. We talk about how it can be a path for undercovered talent to make their way to the pros, as long as the league avoids some obvious pitfalls with the invite list. After that we get to some college ball. Terry Foy of Inside Lacrosse joins to go through his latest edition of Bracketology. We talk about Duke's weird non-resume, potential bid thiefs, and the games this weekend that can be high impact on the bracket. Finally, we run through the full slate of games. Every game on the calendar, plus a quick analysis with picks. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

It's Tuesday, time for a spin through the latest media poll. I have some big differences from the actual poll this week, we talk through my ballot, and update the RPI as we go. Plus, talking Joey Spallina's record, Duke season on life support, Princeton and Harvard's incredible game, throwing your stick for a goal, and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

We start by talking about the possibility of a lacrosse video game? Videos and images hit social media this week, so we talk through what makes sports video games fun, the excitement around a lacrosse game, and the challenges that come with trying to translate the sport to video game format. Then, we recap the PLL Draft. Adam Lamberti joins to talk about everything that happened on Tuesday, with some insider perspective and breakdowns of who did great, who didn't, great value picks, big reaches, and more. Finally, we preview the weekend. We run through every game on the slate and make our picks. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
