Ep.92: How to Heal Your Relationship Triggers
2026/10/09
Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ Why can a seemingly small moment with someone you love suddenly bring up overwhelming shame, anxiety, anger, or fear? In this personal solo episode, I explore why romantic relationships can activate some of our deepest wounds and how our triggers can become doorways into unresolved trauma. I share a vulnerable experience from my own relationship that triggered a freeze response around sex, shame, and performance, and how I recognized what was happening and brought myself back into safety. I then guide you through the three-step process I use to work with relationship triggers: regulating your nervous system, acknowledging and expressing what you’re feeling, and exploring the deeper experiences underneath the trigger. We talk about fight, flight, freeze, and fawn responses, nervous system regulation, the wet noodle technique, box breathing, the butterfly hug, somatic awareness, and journaling questions for identifying where a trigger began. This episode will help you understand what your body may be trying to communicate when you get triggered and approach those moments with greater awareness and care. Ep.91: The Gay Man’s Guide to Adoption with Amos Wolff
2026/09/25
Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ For gay men who dream of becoming dads, adoption can feel like a maze of options, costs, legal requirements, and ethical questions. In this episode, I sit down with Amos Wolff to create a practical guide to adoption for gay men. We explore domestic and international adoption, foster-to-adopt, open versus closed adoption, realistic costs, discrimination gay couples may encounter, and what happens when an international adoption initially recognizes only one father as the legal parent. We also go beyond the logistics to explore what’s actually best for the child. We discuss attachment and trauma, maintaining connections with birth families, talking to children openly about their adoption story, navigating changing boundaries in open adoption, and the psychological preparation prospective gay dads should consider before becoming parents. We finish by comparing adoption and surrogacy through the financial, legal, psychological, and ethical questions gay men may want to consider when deciding how to build their family. Ep.90: Orgies, Sex Parties and the City Part II
2026/09/11
Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ Season five kicks off with a bang as I take you inside my wildest summer yet, spanning London, Barcelona, and New York City. From sex parties and dark rooms to cruising parks, hostel shower hookups, and unexpected group encounters, I’m sharing the highs, the awkward moments, and everything I learned from pushing my sexual boundaries. Along the way, I also reflect on how understanding my neurodivergence has helped me make more sense of overstimulation, consent, boundaries, and what I actually need to feel safe, comfortable, and turned on.  But underneath all the sex, something deeper started to emerge. What began as my first summer of complete sexual freedom after becoming single gradually revealed a craving for intimacy, tenderness, and genuine connection. From unexpectedly wanting to hold hands with strangers in Barcelona to meeting a gorgeous Spanish guy during my final days in New York, this episode is about what happens when a summer devoted to being single, slutty, and free ends with the one thing I definitely wasn’t looking for: falling for someone.  Follow and connect at @georgecanthost on Instagram for more conversations about sex, shame, healing, and freedom.  RESOURCES MENTIONED Join the Can't Host Telegram group: https://t.me/+AWgYq94TARQ2ODJk Get the Can't Host T-Shirts: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ Ep.55: Orgies, Sex Parties and the City Part I: https://shows.acast.com/cant-host/episodes/67065c2447b414d1544aa774 Ep.77: Sex Shame, OnlyFans, and My Top Era: https://georgelizos.com/blog/sex-shame-onlyfans-and-my-top-era CONNECT WITH ME   Instagram: https://instagram.com/georgelizos/ Website: https://georgelizos.com/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@iamgeorgelizos Facebook Group: http://www.yourspiritualtoolkit.com/   MY BOOKS   Be The Guru: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TtCj Lightworkers Gotta Work: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmKf Protect Your Light: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmJd Secrets of Greek Mysticism: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1uPvr Ancient Manifestation Secrets: https://2ly.link/1zCVg Hosted on Acast. Ep.89: Queerness, Brotherhood, and the Power of Male Connection with Alessandro Rōz
2026/06/19
Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ In this episode, I sit down with Alessandro Rōz to explore masculinity, queerness, brotherhood, and what becomes possible when men learn how to connect beyond performance, fear, and social conditioning. We talk about Alessandro’s journey through the world of men's work, the challenges queer men face in predominantly straight male spaces, and how many of us learn to shape-shift and mask parts of ourselves in order to feel safe and accepted. Together, we explore why so many queer men feel disconnected from other men, the impact of bullying and heteronormative culture, and how healing those wounds can unlock entirely new ways of relating.   We also dive into some of Alessandro’s most viral ideas, including why he believes all men contain a natural capacity for homoerotic connection, how queer men act as bridges between masculine and feminine energies, and why modern culture often reduces male connection to either "f**k" or "kill." Along the way, we discuss eros, intimacy, queer ancestry, spirituality, the growing movement of straight men exploring their queerness, and practical tools for cultivating deeper presence in both relationships and sex. This episode is an invitation to rethink what connection, masculinity, and queer community can look like when love is placed back at the center.  Follow and connect at @georgecanthost on Instagram for more conversations about sex, shame, healing, and freedom.  RESOURCES MENTIONED Join the Energy Work Membership: https://georgelizos.com/energy-work-membership Download the FREE Ultimate Energy Protection Toolkit audio training at https://www.subscribepage.com/energyprotectiontoolkit   Join the Can't Host Telegram group: https://t.me/+AWgYq94TARQ2ODJk Get the Can't Host T-Shirts: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ Ep.71: Healing After a Breakup: https://georgelizos.com/blog/healing-after-a-breakup-my-twin-flame-journey-and-the-lessons-it-taught-me Ep.77: Sex Shame, OnlyFans, and My Top Era: https://georgelizos.com/blog/sex-shame-onlyfans-and-my-top-era Ep.81: A Straight Guy and a Gay Guy with Tony Demetriou: https://georgelizos.com/blog/a-straight-guy-and-a-gay-guy-compare-sex-notes-with-tony-demetriou Ep.82: Straight Guy Talks with Tony Demetriou: https://georgelizos.com/blog/straight-guy-talks-anal-play-rimming-the-male-g-spot-with-tony-demetriou ABOUT ALESSANDRO RŌZ I'm a queer ceremonialist guiding men into deeper intimacy with themselves, their desire, and their unique gifts. Growing up as the only gay child in an all-male family in northern Italy, I learned early to make myself smaller to belong. After a decade in Hollywood and an Emmy-nominated production, I followed a deeper calling into the Peruvian Amazon, apprenticing with Shipibo, Mestizo, and Ashaninka teachers. I later facilitated more than twenty men's retreats worldwide with Sacred Sons before creating spaces specifically for queer men. Today, I blend shamanic practice, somatic embodiment, IFS, mirror work, and erotic ritual through Bloom and Brotherhood of Lovers, a queer-led mystery school I co-founded with Langston Kahn. My work continues an ancient tradition: teaching men how to love. Ep. 88: What Gay Saunas Taught Me About Shame and Queer Belonging
2026/06/05
Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ I recently had one of the most unexpectedly wholesome experiences of my life: after hooking up with a guy in a gay sauna, we ended up standing in the shower singing musical theatre songs together. The experience left me questioning many of the assumptions I’d carried about saunas, bathhouses, and queer sexual spaces. Why did I feel so much shame walking into a sauna in the first place? Where did that shame come from? And why have so many of us inherited the belief that spaces created by gay men for pleasure and connection are somehow less respectable than other forms of community? In this episode, I explore the history of gay bathhouses, the role queer spaces have played in helping LGBTQ people find each other, and the ways sexuality, friendship, intimacy, and belonging often overlap in queer culture. We talk about chosen family, minority stress, internalized shame, and why physical queer spaces still matter in the age of dating apps. Most of all, this episode is an invitation to question the stories we’ve been told about gay community, and the shame we may still be carrying because of them. Ep.87: Queer Love, Borders, and Long Distance Relationships with Jeremy Atherton Lin
2026/05/22
Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ In this intimate and intellectually rich episode, I sit down with writer Jeremy Atherton Lin to explore the themes of his book Deep House — a powerful blend of queer love story, cultural history, immigration, and political resistance. We talk about what it means to build a relationship across borders, how laws and systems shape queer intimacy, and why the real issue for many queer couples was never simply marriage equality, but the right to belong together in the first place. Jeremy reflects on meeting his British partner during the rise of DOMA, navigating an “undocumented” queer life together, and how love itself can become both deeply personal and quietly political.    We also dive into themes of home, surrender, migration, queer history, and the emotional reality of long-distance relationships. Jeremy shares why he wanted to preserve forgotten queer stories from the past, why erotic and domestic intimacy matter in queer storytelling, and how borders continue to shape modern queer life even after legal progress. Along the way, we explore fears many listeners will relate to — wondering whether long-distance love is worth it, fearing loneliness, and questioning how to create stability in an uncertain world. This episode is about love, belonging, and what queer relationships can teach us about freedom and connection.  Follow and connect at @georgecanthost on Instagram for more conversations about sex, shame, healing, and freedom.  RESOURCES MENTIONED Join the Energy Work Membership: https://georgelizos.com/energy-work-membership Download the FREE Ultimate Energy Protection Toolkit audio training at https://www.subscribepage.com/energyprotectiontoolkit   Join the Can't Host Telegram group: https://t.me/+AWgYq94TARQ2ODJk Get the Can't Host T-Shirts: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ ABOUT JEREMY ATHERTON LIN Jeremy Atherton Lin is the author of Deep House, a USA Today national bestseller and one of the Publishers Weekly Top 10 Best Books of 2025. Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ In this episode, I sit down with Nick Wolny to explore the connection between queer identity, money mindset, and building a life that actually feels aligned. We talk about shifting from “doing what we love” to “doing who we are,” and how that mindset can completely transform the way we approach career, success, and financial freedom. Nick explains why queer people are often uniquely equipped to redefine success outside traditional life scripts — and how that can become a powerful advantage when it comes to money, purpose, and lifestyle design.  We also dive into the emotional side of money, including the shame, scarcity, and limiting beliefs many queer men carry around finances and self-worth. Nick breaks down investing and financial literacy in simple, accessible language, shares the key numbers people should actually track, and offers practical steps for becoming more financially confident starting today. Ep.84: Opening Up Your Marriage: The Truth About Consensual Non-Monogamy (CNM) with Wayne Scott

Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ In this episode, I sit down with therapist Wayne Scott to unpack what it really means to open up a relationship. We go beyond the surface-level idea of “spicing things up” and explore the deeper reasons couples consider consensual non-monogamy — from mismatched desire and evolving needs to breaking free from religious conditioning and reclaiming autonomy. We also talk about the reality that non-monogamy isn’t one fixed model but a spectrum of possibilities, and how couples can find a structure that actually feels safe and aligned for them.   We dive into the emotional and psychological side of opening a relationship, including jealousy, fear, and the gap between what the mind wants and what the nervous system can handle. Wayne shares practical tools for communication, navigating ambivalent consent, building trust over time, and setting boundaries that support both partners. We also explore how non-monogamy can surface deeper wounds — and why that can be part of the healing process. Whether you’re curious about opening your relationship or already navigating it, this episode offers a grounded, compassionate guide to doing it consciously.  Follow and connect at @georgecanthost on Instagram for more conversations about sex, shame, healing, and freedom.  RESOURCES MENTIONED Join the Energy Work Membership: https://georgelizos.com/energy-work-membership Download the FREE Ultimate Energy Protection Toolkit audio training at https://www.subscribepage.com/energyprotectiontoolkit   Join the Can't Host Telegram group: https://t.me/+AWgYq94TARQ2ODJk Get the Can't Host T-Shirts: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ Ep.68: Bisexual in a Straight Marriage with Wayne Scott: https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/ep-68-bisexual-in-a-straight-marriage-with-wayne-scott/id1653398819?i=1000704909509 Ep.22: Polyamory and Open Relationships with Jessica Fern: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ep-22-polyamory-and-open-relationships-with-jessica-fern/id1653398819?i=1000608984887 ABOUT WAYNE SCOTT In addition to writing a memoir, "The Maps They Gave," about one couple's adventures in relationship therapy, Wayne Scott is a psychotherapist who works with people navigating consensual nonmonogamy in many diverse and creative relationships forms. Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ In this raw and thought-provoking solo episode, I unpack a sexual experience that forced me to confront a deeper truth about dominance, consent, and connection. What started as a hookup quickly revealed a pattern many of us have encountered but rarely name — the difference between someone embodying dominance and someone simply performing it. I share what happened, how my body responded before my mind could catch up, and why the real win was not abandoning myself in the moment.  From there, I break down the psychology behind the experience, introducing concepts like sexual attunement, enthusiastic consent, somatic boundaries, and relational safety. I explore the rise of the so-called “dumb top” as a cultural pattern in gay sex, how pornified scripts are shaping behavior, and why dominance without responsiveness is not power but disconnection. This episode reframes what actually makes someone good in bed, challenges the myth that communication kills the vibe, and names the invisible emotional labor many bottoms carry. If you’ve ever left a sexual encounter feeling off but couldn’t explain why, this episode will give you the language — and the permission — to trust your body.   Follow and connect at @georgecanthost on Instagram for more conversations about sex, shame, healing, and freedom.  RESOURCES MENTIONED Join the Energy Work Membership: https://georgelizos.com/energy-work-membership Download the FREE Ultimate Energy Protection Toolkit audio training at https://www.subscribepage.com/energyprotectiontoolkit   Join the Can't Host Telegram group: https://t.me/+AWgYq94TARQ2ODJk Get the Can't Host T-Shirts: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ Ep.58: Zodiac Signs in Bed: Kinks, Fetishes, Dick Size with Danny Santos: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ep-58-zodiac-signs-in-bed-kinks-fetishes-dick-size/id1653398819?i=1000677916697 CONNECT WITH ME   Instagram: https://instagram.com/georgelizos/ Website: https://georgelizos.com/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@iamgeorgelizos Facebook Group: http://www.yourspiritualtoolkit.com/   MY BOOKS   Be The Guru: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TtCj Lightworkers Gotta Work: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmKf Protect Your Light: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmJd Secrets of Greek Mysticism: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1uPvr Ancient Manifestation Secrets: https://2ly.link/1zCVg Hosted on Acast. Ep.82: Straight Guy Talks Anal Play, Rimming & the Male G-Spot with Tony Demetriou

Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ In this open and unfiltered episode, I sit down with a straight friend to talk about a topic many men are curious about but rarely discuss publicly: anal pleasure. We explore the realities of anal play from a straight man’s perspective, including curiosity around rimming, prostate stimulation, and the male G-spot. Together, we unpack the stigma many straight men feel around exploring their bodies and how cultural expectations around masculinity often shut down conversations about pleasure.  We also discuss how curiosity, trust, and communication can open the door to new experiences in the bedroom. From overcoming shame to understanding how the prostate works, this episode challenges outdated ideas about male sexuality and encourages men to explore pleasure without fear of labels or judgment. If you’ve ever wondered why anal play still feels taboo for so many straight men, this conversation offers an honest look at what happens when those barriers start to break down.  Follow and connect at @georgecanthost for more conversations about sex, shame, healing, and freedom: https://www.instagram.com/georgecanthost/ Join the Can't Host Telegram group: https://t.me/+AWgYq94TARQ2ODJk RESOURCES MENTIONED Ep.51: C**k Rings for Harder Erections and Longer Orgasms with Dr. Elliot Justin: https://shows.acast.com/cant-host/episodes/66867b5704b201dd3472a0b2 Buy a FirmTech ring and get 10% off using coupon code canthost or via this affiliate link: https://myfirmtech.com?sca_ref=6026421.q59KYoO7dcIljU&utm_source=george-lizos&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=affiliate Energy Work Membership: https://georgelizos.com/energy-work-membership Download the FREE Ultimate Energy Protection Toolkit audio training at https://www.subscribepage.com/energyprotectiontoolkit   ABOUT TONY DEMETRIOU Tony’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tony.dtriou.lyrs/   CONNECT WITH ME   Instagram: https://instagram.com/georgelizos/ Website: https://georgelizos.com/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@iamgeorgelizos Facebook Group: http://www.yourspiritualtoolkit.com/   MY BOOKS   Be The Guru: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TtCj Lightworkers Gotta Work: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmKf Protect Your Light: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmJd Secrets of Greek Mysticism: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1uPvr Ancient Manifestation Secrets: https://2ly.link/1zCVg Hosted on Acast. Ep.81: A Straight Guy and a Gay Guy Compare Sex Notes with Tony Demetriou
2026/03/06
Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ In this candid and hilarious episode, I sit down with my straight friend Tony Demetriou to compare sex notes from a straight and a gay perspective. We talk about the first time we discovered masturbation as teenagers, whether guys actually talk about sex with their male friends, and how our sexual attitudes were shaped by masculinity, shame, and social expectations. What starts as a fun comparison quickly turns into a deeper conversation about vulnerability, communication, and the pressures men feel around sex.  We also dive into topics most men rarely talk about openly: overcoming shame around being submissive in bed, the impact of toxic masculinity on how men approach intimacy, and how every person’s desires and turn-ons are different. Along the way, we discuss roleplaying, sexual fantasies, my experiences with threesomes and orgies, Tony’s reflections on one-night stands, and why great sex is less about technique and more about connection and communication.  Follow and connect at @georgecanthost for more conversations about sex, shame, healing, and freedom: https://www.instagram.com/georgecanthost/ Join the Can't Host Telegram group: https://t.me/+AWgYq94TARQ2ODJk RESOURCES MENTIONED Ep.75: The Ultimate BDSM Topping Guide with Janet W Hardy: https://shows.acast.com/cant-host/episodes/6932f2a738a11f5f3e0929b3 Ep.74: The Ultimate BDSM Bottoming Guide with Janet W Hardy: https://shows.acast.com/cant-host/episodes/691f4ea7d35aa096b558653a Energy Work Membership: https://georgelizos.com/energy-work-membership Download the FREE Ultimate Energy Protection Toolkit audio training at https://www.subscribepage.com/energyprotectiontoolkit   ABOUT TONY DEMETRIOU Tony’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tony.dtriou.lyrs/   CONNECT WITH ME   Instagram: https://instagram.com/georgelizos/ Website: https://georgelizos.com/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@iamgeorgelizos Facebook Group: http://www.yourspiritualtoolkit.com/   MY BOOKS   Be The Guru: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TtCj Lightworkers Gotta Work: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmKf Protect Your Light: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmJd Secrets of Greek Mysticism: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1uPvr Ancient Manifestation Secrets: https://2ly.link/1zCVg Hosted on Acast. Ep.80: How to Have Mind-Blowing Sex

Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ In this deeply personal solo episode, I share how therapy helped me see how much of my life has revolved around my relationship with sex, control, and fear. I talk openly about being a side, fearing bottoming, stepping into my Top era, and realizing how past sexual trauma shaped my ability to receive pleasure. This episode is about what happens when you finally feel safe enough to let go of performance, shame, and control — and start experiencing real connection.  I also share a recent sexual experience that became unexpectedly healing. Through trust, communication, patience, and mutual respect, I discovered what mind-blowing sex actually means: presence instead of performance, consent instead of pressure, curiosity instead of fear. We talk about lessons on communication, safety, experimenting responsibly, and allowing yourself to receive pleasure without shame. This episode is for anyone navigating sex after trauma, learning to trust their body again, or wanting deeper intimacy.  Follow and connect at @georgecanthost on Instagram for more conversations about sex, shame, healing, and freedom.  RESOURCES MENTIONED Join the Energy Work Membership: https://georgelizos.com/energy-work-membership Download the FREE Ultimate Energy Protection Toolkit audio training at https://www.subscribepage.com/energyprotectiontoolkit   Join the Can't Host Telegram group: https://t.me/+AWgYq94TARQ2ODJk Get the Can't Host T-Shirts: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ Ep.77: Sex Shame, Only Fans, and My Top Era – https://shows.acast.com/cant-host/episodes/696122921f21449d6de7dc0f   Ep.20: Safe Anal Sex Practices with Dr. Evan Goldstein – https://shows.acast.com/cant-host/episodes/66867b5704b201dd3472a0d2   CONNECT WITH ME   Instagram: https://instagram.com/georgelizos/ Website: https://georgelizos.com/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@iamgeorgelizos Facebook Group: http://www.yourspiritualtoolkit.com/   MY BOOKS   Be The Guru: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TtCj Lightworkers Gotta Work: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmKf Protect Your Light: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1TmJd Secrets of Greek Mysticism: https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1uPvr Ancient Manifestation Secrets: https://2ly.link/1zCVg Hosted on Acast. Ep.79: Mostly Straight Men, Masculinity, and the Future of Sexual Fluidity with Dr. Ritch Savin-Williams

Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnet Can't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/ In this episode, I’m joined by Rich Savin, author of Mostly Straight, to explore a growing and often misunderstood group of men whose sexuality doesn’t fit neatly into gay straight or bisexual labels. We talk about what “mostly straight” actually means, how men who identify this way describe their attractions, and what distinguishes this identity from bisexuality or homosexuality. Rich shares insights into why there are now more mostly straight young men than gay and bisexual men combined, and what cultural and generational shifts may be driving this change. We also dive into how mostly straight men navigate attraction in real life, including whether desire is emotional aesthetic or sexual, and how masculinity shapes what feels possible or acceptable to express. We explore internal conflict and stigma, respond to critiques that the label avoids queerness, and look at differences across race class and geography. Finally, we zoom out to the future, discussing how male sexual fluidity may evolve over the next decade and what parents educators and queer communities can learn from this research. This episode bridges academic insight with real-world relevance for anyone curious about how male sexuality is changing. Ep.78: Queer Shame, Rejection, and Healing After Religion with Ann Russo

Drawing from her work with LGBTQ+ clients, we unpack why rejection sits at the root of so many struggles — from anxiety and depression to loneliness, self-doubt, and identity confusion. We also talk about why so many queer people have difficulty finding therapists who truly feel safe and affirming, and how trauma and minority stress can quietly show up in everyday life.  A central focus of this conversation is religious and spiritual trauma, especially for queer people who were taught that their identity was sinful, wrong, or incompatible with faith. Ann introduces liberation theology as a framework that separates God from harmful religious agendas, offering a way to reclaim spirituality without shame. We also explore why healing must begin in the body, how nervous system safety makes deconstruction possible, and practical tools like body awareness and somatic regulation that actually help. This episode is for anyone navigating the wounds of religion, rejection, and identity — and looking for a gentler, more affirming path forward.  Follow and connect at @georgecanthost for more conversations about sex, shame, healing, and freedom.  Order my book 'Ancient Manifestation Secrets' and get a FREE past-life regression workshop to retrieve manifestation skills: https://georgelizos.com/ancientmanifestationsecrets Join the Energy Work Membership: https://georgelizos.com/energy-work-membership ABOUT ANN RUSSO Raised in a diverse, non-traditional household, Ann Russo understands the complex intersections of identity, sexuality, and spirituality.
