Dr. Tyler Maltman is a family physician that specializes in integrative medicine and is also a PRT provider.
Kent Earle is a physiotherapist at Venture Rehab with extensive experience with PRT.
Chantel Miller is a patient partner who has had a huge benefit from PRT and is working with the team to increase awareness of PRT in the province.

Dr. Ronald George is Professor & Director of Obstetric Anesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital in the University of Toronto. He was a Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society Career Scientist Award recipient aimed at enhancing analgesia and anesthesia for women and high-risk pregnancies. He is an Associate Editor for the Canadian Journal of Anesthesia and the International Journal of Obstetric Anesthesia. Dr. George is the current President of the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology and Board Member of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists.

Leah Ferguson (Ph.D.) is a professor in the College of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research, teaching, and applied work focus on sport psychology and Indigenous Peoples’ wellness, where she collaboratively works with athletes, youth, girls and women to enhance sport experiences and wholistic wellness outcomes. Leah is also a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, where she translates her research into practice with athletes, teams, coaches and sport groups to foster athlete well-being and performance. As a Métis woman, she brings a relational, inclusive lens to her work, helping athletes thrive under pressure while staying connected to their well-being.

Join us for grand rounds this week where Dr. Chelsia Gillis, a Registered Dietician and Assistant Professor in the School of Human Nutrition at McGill University, discusses preoperative malnutrition and perioperative nutrition optimization.
Dr. Chelsia Gillis is an Assistant Professor in the School of Human Nutrition in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at McGill University. Dr. Gillis is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, and Vanier Scholar with a MSc in Human Nutrition from McGill University and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Calgary. Dr. Gillis’ research program aims to improve surgical patient outcomes by generating evidence-based knowledge and translating findings into clinical practice to enhance healthcare services in Canada. Her research interests include prehabilitation, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery, surgical metabolism, and patient engagement. Prehabilitation is a paradigmatic shift in the usual care of surgical patients that capitalizes on surgical wait times to correct modifiable risk factors, including malnutrition, to enhance recovery. Dr. Gillis’ innovative approach challenges current “siloed” nutritional assessment techniques through the creation of surgery-specific tools that integrate both etiologic and phenotypic assessments of malnutrition with physical function to provide personalized, targeted care that ensures the right patient receives the right care at the right time. Dr. Gillis has received research grants as Principal Investigator from the Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Research, American Society for Parenteral Enteral Nutrition, and European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism.

Join us for grand rounds this week where Dr. Jocelyn Moore, a Radiation Oncologist at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, discusses brachytherapy for gynecologic cancers, including standard of care for cervical cancer, current and future offerings in Saskatchewan, and the role of anesthesia.
Dr. Moore is a Radiation Oncologist at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. She grew up in Saskatoon, completed undergrad and Med School at U of S before moving to CancerCare Manitoba for Radiation Oncology Residency. Her fellowship at BC Cancer (Vancouver) was in brachytherapy for prostate and gynecologic cancers. From there she worked at BC Cancer Kelowna for 5 years before finding her way back to SK. At the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, she specializes in radiotherapy for gyne, GU, and GI malignancies. For the last 3 years she has been the lead of SCA's provincial strategic initiative to expand local brachytherapy offerings for Gynecologic cancer patients.

Dr. Bailey is an anesthesiologist and associate professor at Dalhousie University. He completed undergraduate training and medical school at the University of Saskatchewan before completing his anesthesia residency, masters in epidemiology and regional anesthesia fellowship at Dalhousie University. His clinical and research interests include acute pain, regional anesthesia, and healthcare in austere settings. Dr. Bailey is the Medical Director for Global Health and Community Engagement in the Department of Anesthesia and the Rwanda Lead for the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society International Education Foundation (CASIEF). He is a Vital Anaesthesia Simulation Training (VAST) instructor and co-author of VAST Wellbeing. His microgravity research has been featured on CBC News, CBC Information Morning, and the "Block it like it’s hot" podcast. He was the recipient of the Su Ganapathy Regional Anesthesia Research Award in 2025. He has received the Resident Advocate of the Year Award in 2020, the Clinical Teacher of the Year Award in 2021, and the Daily Evaluation Certificate of Appreciation in 2022.

Dr. Ahmed Cherry completed his undergraduate and Master’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Windsor. He subsequently attended medical school and Orthopaedic Surgery residency, at the University of Toronto. Dr. Cherry completed his Complex Neurosurgical/Orthopedic Spine Fellowship at the Toronto Western Hospital. He has experience in a wide range of complex cases in both Orthopedics and Spine, with clinical and research focus aimed towards degenerative spine disease and minimally invasive procedures.
