Embracing Digital This Week: Deep Dive — Episode 188
2026/10/16
This week Darren and Paige got to be with the grandkids in Austin Texas and had a great time with them and Darren and one of his Sons went to the Jack White concert. Great time, but there was a most definite bent on anti AI, and technology at the conference. Something Darren is seeing as a growing trend in many places. People are a bit scared of AI and it replacing jobs. The week was finished up on a more technology focused workshop for Country Court Clerks in Florida where we had a great discussion on how to leverage private Generative AI to help process court documents.

October 9, 2026 | Governance Lag in Government Digital Transformation
2026/10/10
Government digital transformation is moving faster than governance, creating unmanaged risk as AI, cybersecurity, and new infrastructure enter live workflows before policy, accountability, and review standards are in place. In this executive architectural brief, Dr. Darren Pulsipher explains why governance lag is a strategic problem, not just an IT issue, and why trust controls, bias review, explainability, and clear decision rights must be built in before scale. The video shows how tool-centric transformation leads to fragmented oversight, weak cyber resilience, and fragile operating models, especially when AI compresses work into fewer people without redesigning roles, quality checks, and escalation paths. It also explores emerging infrastructure challenges like orbital compute, where architecture, regulation, and risk controls must be designed together to avoid a policy vacuum. Leaders will learn why guardrails, named owners, and adaptive governance are essential for safe and scalable public-sector innovation.

2026/10/05
Digital Transformation for the week of October 5, 2026 including news from Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Ubiquitous Computing, and Embracing Digital Transformation.AI governance is moving from talk to action as leaders face tighter oversight, sharper scrutiny of bias and accountability, and a growing need to manage AI responsibly while still driving transformation. In the middle of that shift, organizations are only beginning to test AI augmentation in real workflows — a sign that the winners will be those who redesign work, not just automate it.
October 2, 2026 | Government AI and Resilience Strategy for Digital Transformation
2026/10/03
Government digital transformation is no longer about separate initiatives for AI, cybersecurity, and resilience. This video explains why leaders must treat edge computing, AI adoption, continuity planning, and cyber resilience as one enterprise strategy. Learn how centralized systems are becoming too slow and brittle for mission-critical work, why AI pilots fail without real workflows and governance, and how shared accountability, decision rights, and operating models determine whether modernization scales or gets stuck in pilot purgatory. Discover the architectural mindset public sector leaders need to build secure, resilient, and fit-to-task digital services.

Digital Transformation for the week of September 28, 2026 including news from Edge Computing, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Embracing Digital Transformation.Edge computing is moving intelligence out of the cloud and closer to where action happens, from neuron-like polymer devices and Intel-powered edge hardware to orbital satellites and military systems built for resilience. It’s a powerful signal that faster, local processing—and the kind of collaboration we’ve seen firsthand through university visits in Ohio and Tennessee—can unlock smarter operations, stronger partnerships, and real-world impact across every sector.
September 25, 2026 | Governance-as-Strategy for Digital Transformation
2026/09/26
Discover why governance is now a core operating model for government digital transformation. In this executive architectural brief, Dr. Darren Pulsipher explains how AI governance, cybersecurity governance, cloud governance, and edge computing decisions shape trust, resilience, accountability, and scale. Learn why government transformation fails when decision rights, control ownership, and oversight arrive too late, creating governance lag and pilot purgatory. This video shows how to embed governance into strategy, architecture, and daily operations so digital initiatives can move from experimentation to reliable production with measurable evidence, clear accountability, and stronger public trust.

Digital Transformation for the week of September 21, 2026 including news from Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Ubiquitous Computing, and Embracing Digital Transformation. This week’s headlines make one thing clear: AI, cybersecurity, and cloud strategy are shifting from experimentation to disciplined execution, with governments, regulators, and markets all demanding more governance, resilience, and trust. And as Darren’s new book *AI Augmented Organizations* hits the market and the ODXA standard moves into public review, the message is even sharper: the organizations that win will be the ones built to adapt, not just to automate.
September 18, 2026 | Governance Before Scale: Government Digital Transformation
2026/09/19
Discover why government digital transformation must start with governance before scale. In this executive architectural brief, Dr. Darren Pulsipher explains how AI governance, identity assurance, security-by-design, and clear accountability are essential to avoid shadow adoption, reduce digital risk, and build trust. Learn why leadership, approved use cases, human review, and automated containment are now the foundations of safe modernization in the public sector. This video is a must-watch for anyone interested in government AI governance, cybersecurity, resilience, and strategic digital transformation.

Digital Transformation for the week of September 14, 2026 including news from Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Advanced Communications, and Embracing Digital Transformation. This week’s headlines show AI shifting from breakneck growth to responsible governance, as leaders face mounting calls to slow down, tighten security, and build trust before scaling new tools everywhere. That urgency is echoed globally, from China’s push to shape the future of AI to rising cyber threats and new wireless advances—timed just as Darren and Paige celebrate family milestones and head to Florida for a CIO summit and their anniversary.
September 11, 2026 | Government AI, Cyber & Connectivity: Proof Over Promise
2026/09/12
Government digital transformation is shifting from polished demos to proven results. In AI, cybersecurity, and advanced connectivity, leaders now demand repeatable performance, measurable KPIs, clear decision ownership, and security built in from the start. This brief explains why operational trust matters more than hype, how pilot purgatory and vendor lock-in slow progress, and why modular, interoperable, and resilient architecture is becoming essential. Learn how public sector teams can scale only what works in real workflows, reduce risk, and turn digital initiatives into mission-ready infrastructure.

From cyber defense to open-source competition, the winners will be the systems that can adapt, recover, and scale without forcing organizations to start over.
September 4, 2026 | Government Digital Transformation Slows When Governance Lags
2026/09/05
Government digital transformation is accelerating with AI, cybersecurity, automation, and edge computing—but many agencies are still struggling with governance, decision rights, and operating model design. This video explains why adoption often outpaces review discipline, standardization, and accountability, creating shadow use, security gaps, and inconsistent workflows. Learn why the real bottleneck in public sector digital transformation is not technology performance, but organizational readiness to govern, review, and scale tools safely. Discover how leaders can improve workflow fit, embed human judgment, and align governance with delivery to turn pilots into repeatable, trustworthy operations.

Digital Transformation for the week of August 31, 2026 including news from Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Edge Computing, and Embracing Digital Transformation.AI is moving out of the demo stage and into the heart of business, with leaders finding real value only when systems architecture, workflow, and human judgment are aligned—something Darren saw firsthand this week training technical sales teams in North Carolina. As the next wave of AI-Augmented thinking nears release in September 2026, the bigger story is clear: organizations that govern AI well, reskill fast, and build security into the architecture will be the ones turning disruption into opportunity.
August 28, 2026 | AI Governance Gap Slowing Government Digital Transformation
2026/08/29
