HELPFUL DEFINITIONS:
ACE2 Receptors: ACE2 is a protein on the surface of many cell types. It is an enzyme that generates small proteins – by cutting up the larger protein angiotensinogen – that then go on to regulate functions in the cell.
Using the spike-like protein on its surface, the SARS-CoV-2 virus binds to ACE2 – like a key being inserted into a lock – prior to entry and infection of cells. Hence, ACE2 acts as a cellular doorway – a receptor – for the virus that causes COVID-19.
Lumbrokinase: Lumbrokinase is known for its ability to dissolve fibrin, which is a crucial component of blood clots. This ability makes it potentially useful in preventing and treating conditions related to excessive blood clotting.
Nattokinase: Nattokinase is an enzyme that's extracted from natto, a traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans. Nattokinase is particularly known for its potential effects on blood circulation and blood clots.
The Krebs Cycle: The Krebs cycle is used by organisms that generate energy via respiration, either anaerobically or aerobically (organisms that ferment use different pathways).
M-Spike Protein: The M-spike, also known as monoclonal protein or paraprotein, is a marker in blood tests that indicates the presence of abnormal plasma cells.
HRV: HRV, or Heart Rate Variability, refers to the variation in time between heartbeats.

FAQ: How Can I Support My Lymphatic System?
2025/06/11
Welcome back to the WellFuel Podcast with your host, Isabel Smith!
In today’s quick but impactful episode, Isabel is answering a question we hear all the time: “How do I support my lymphatic system?”
But instead of jumping right to supplements or herbs, Isabel urges you to pause and look deeper. Because more often than not, lymphatic congestion isn’t the root issue; it’s a symptom. And real support starts with understanding what’s going on under the surface.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Common root causes of a sluggish lymphatic system from pelvic floor tightness and liver/gallbladder stress, to toxin overload, histamine imbalances, surgeries, or plain old exhaustion.
Herbs that support lymph flow, like Cleavers Tea, Red Root, and Echinacea, and how to use them safely and effectively (always check with your healthcare provider!)
Gentle detoxifiers like Calendula and Burdock Root help clear stagnation without overloading the system.
Everyday tips for better lymph flow, hydration, minerals, electrolytes, proper elimination (yes, pooping matters!), and minimizing toxins in your clothes and environment.Isabel also shares her personal experiences and favorite go-to products, making this episode both practical and approachable.
Episode Highlights:
Start with the root:
Don’t skip to solutions; underlying causes like scar tissue, surgery, overactive histamine, or exhaustion may be blocking your flow.
Powerful herbal tools:
Cleavers Tea: Easy to absorb and great for daily lymph support.
Red Root: A decongestant for lymph, spleen, and tonsils.
Echinacea: Boosts immune response and lymph drainage.
Poke Root: Potent, only use with medical supervision.
Calendula & Burdock Root: Gentle and effective support for detox and circulation.
Lifestyle & nutrition tips:
Start with minerals, salt, and whole food sources of electrolytes.
Don’t rely on caffeine to stimulate your system, support your kidneys and lymph gently.
Poop matters, elimination is key for detox!
Watch your toxic load, even tight clothes or synthetic fabrics can contribute to lymph stagnation.
Go slow with practices like lymphatic massage, listen to your body and move at your own pace.

HELPFUL DEFINITIONS
Prenuvo Scan: A Prenuvo scan is a full-body MRI scan that uses magnetic fields to image the body and screen for disease. Prenuvo scans are non-invasive, radiation-free, and can detect hundreds of conditions.
“Herxing”: A Herxheimer reaction, also known as a Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction, is a temporary worsening of symptoms that can occur after starting antibiotic treatment for certain bacterial infections, such as Lyme disease, syphilis, and leptospirosis.
Liver Flukes: Liver flukes are parasites that can infect humans and cause liver and bile duct disease.
Epstein-Barr: Epstein-Barr virus, or EBV, is one of the most common human viruses in the world. EBV is also known as human herpesvirus 4 and is a member of the herpes virus family. Most people will get infected with EBV in their lifetime, especially in childhood, and will not have symptoms. EBV infections in children usually do not cause symptoms, or the symptoms are not distinguishable from other mild, brief childhood illnesses.
Herpes 6: Human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) is a common virus that causes roseola in children. Like all herpes family viruses, HHV-6 stays in your body for life but usually remains dormant (inactive). This is not the same variant of the Herpes virus that causes genital Herpes or cold sores - that’s Herpes Simplex 1 and 2.
