Welcome to "The Underclass Podcast" with Austin Wade Picard, I am an independent researcher who can't stomach being lied to on a daily basis by the Mainstream Media. This week, I once again had the opportunity to work with one of my favorite people in the alternative media landscape as I sat back down with the great William Ramsey in order to discuss the 1973 British folk horror film, "The Wicker Man" directed by Robin Hardy. Was The Wicker Man just a horror film, or a pagan ritual the audience was made to take part in? William Ramsey is joined again by Austin Wade Picard of The Underclass for a deep dive into the 1973 cult classic: From Dennis Wheatley and Aleister Crowley to the Son of Sam letters and "Wicked King Wicker" moniker, Christopher Lee's 12,000-book occult library and his warning about black magic, the Green Man, the Maypole, and the mystery of the original negative, allegedly buried under a British motorway. Director Robin Hardy said burning "the occasional policeman" sounded like a fair price. Screenwriter Anthony Shaffer said he looked forward to the day "when we are pagans again." Join us, as we go through the film scene by scene and ask what was really being put in front of the audience. In the third installment of "Occult Theatre with The Schizo Bros," Austin Wade Picard of The Underclass Podcast and Jose Galison of No Way, Jose! take on Cameron Crowe’s 2001 Vanilla Sky as a glossy mask over a much older script. They read David Aames’s curated life, the Life Extension dream, and the film’s false realities through gnosticism, Kabbalah, Christian symbolism, and sex magic-- --then follow the story as a picture of elites manifesting reality, where wealth and will rewrite the world until the rewrite breaks. The conversation also turns to the making of the film itself: Cruise buying the rights to the Spanish original, keeping Penélope Cruz in the same role, and later getting the girl in real life—a world-is-your-oyster echo of the story’s elites manifesting reality. Under the sinister layer, Jose and Austin stay with the film’s more important lesson: consequences do not negotiate, people are not props, and a life built on performance eventually demands the real face. Vanilla Sky, in their reading, is both an occult map and a warning about taking others for granted and mistaking a manufactured self for an authentic one. Tune in for an in-depth discussion involving—dream technology, symbolic religion, and elite's sculpting reality—without losing the human cost at the center of the story. Enjoy the third episode of "Occult Theatre with The Schizo Bros," as Jose and I continue our recent endeavor involving critical analysis of occult/esoteric film and pop culture. In the second installment of Occult Theatre with The Schizo Bros, Austin Wade Picard of The Underclass Podcast, and Jose Galison of No Way, Jose! take on "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle" as something rarer than a battle-shonen blowout: A wholesome reading of the darkest subjects within parapolitical discourse. They treat Muzan’s castle, the Upper Ranks, and the Corps’ war not as empty spectacle but as a coded picture of satanic ritual abuse, MKULTRA-style breaking, and serial-killer logic—then follow the show as it quietly hands over the keys to fighting those “demons” without becoming them. What makes the episode click is the inversion. Elite satanic aesthetics usually flip the moral world—predation dressed as power, the child as raw material, cruelty as initiation. Infinity Castle, in Jose and Austin’s reading, runs that script backward: demons as the programmed and the predatory, slayers as the ones who keep family, sincerity, and inherited technique intact inside a fortress built to scramble all three. Enjoy the second episode of "Occult Theatre with The Schizo Bros," as Jose and I continue our recent endeavor involving critical analysis of occult/esoteric film and pop culture. In the debut of "Occult Theatre with The Schizo Bros," Jose Galison of No Way, Jose! joins Austin Wade Picard of The Underclass Podcast for a parapolitical deep dive into Robin Hardy’s 1973 folk-horror classic The Wicker Man. Sergeant Howie lands on Summerisle hunting a missing girl and instead walks into a living ritual: a pagan community whose fertility rites, pageantry, and cheerful cruelty collide with his rigid Christian authority. Jose and Austin treat the island not as mere backdrop but as a laboratory of power—where tradition, spectacle, and sacrifice reveal how unofficial structures outmaneuver the state and how “civilization” itself can be a carefully staged performance. This first installment of their movie-review series goes past the Maypole and the burning wicker to ask what the film still says about hidden hierarchies, manufactured consent, and the occult theater that keeps societies running. From Lord Summerisle’s aristocratic showmanship to the islanders’ collective willingness to feed the harvest, they unpack the movie as a parable of competing orthodoxies and the rituals that bind—or devour—a people. Tune into "Occult Theatre with The Schizo Bros" for an unfiltered conversation that treats The Wicker Man as more than horror: a window into the real machinery of belief, authority, and blood.
