Description

The LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW with Terry Jaymes When the rest of the world goes to bed... the real conversations begin. The LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW is a live, uncensored journey into the strange, hilarious, fascinating, and deeply human side of life. Hosted by longtime radio personality Terry Jaymes, each episode captures the magic that made late-night radio legendary—where complete strangers become friends, curiosity beats outrage, and nobody knows where the next conversation will lead. Expect unforgettable guests, live callers, paranormal mysteries, relationship debates, conspiracy theories (and why people believe them), comedians, authors, scientists, sex experts, ghost stories, UFOs, life after loss, and the kinds of conversations most shows are afraid to have. Some nights you'll laugh until you cry. Other nights you'll actually think. The best nights... you'll do both. Whether you're an insomniac, a night-shift worker, a truck driver, or someone who's simply looking for a place to belong after dark, you've found your frequency. Because people don't just miss radio. People miss people. Welcome to The LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW with Terry Jaymes. Turn down the lights.Turn up the volume.Let's see where the night takes us.

SEX AND THE DEATH OF DATING
2026/09/26
Tonight two popular radio vets attack what everyone seems to be talking about.  Is tech ruining sex and dating?  LATE NIGHT RADIO is back and interesting again. Guest host Molly Paige is BACK after a technical issue hijacked her last appearance.  Since Molly specializes in relationships, sex and the increasingly bizarre ways humans try to connect with each other, we have some unfinished business.  Tonight we’re asking: Is America in a ROMANCE RECESSION?  Has LinkedIn somehow made the accidental pivot from “Let’s connect professionally” to “So…you seeing anybody?” Is AI ruining your game by doing all the flirting for you?  Are people finally retreating from social-media dating? Molly weighs in. Terry probably overshares. And then YOU get involved. LET'S SEE WHERE THE NIGHT TAKES US. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
YOU GUYS MADE ME CRY
2026/09/25
I’ve visualized this night more times than I can count. Well, all but the technical issues.  Walking into a dark studio. Sitting down behind the microphone. Watching the phone lines light up. Not knowing who was on the other end or where the conversation was going to take me.  Tonight, it actually happened. And somewhere along the way, I stopped trying to “do a show” and just kicked back and let the night sweep me away. The callers were incredible. Brave, honest, funny, vulnerable and willing to go places most people avoid in everyday conversation.  I met some seriously cool people tonight. We went deep. In fact, one caller completely shifted my perspective on what was happening. I realized I was sitting there experiencing the exact thing I’d been chasing.  This is success to me. Not numbers. Not views. Not some algorithm deciding I had a good night. THIS. A dark studio. A microphone. Phones lighting up. Strangers trusting me enough to tell me something real. Conversations that start in one place and somehow end up somewhere none of us expected. For a long time, the LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW was just something I could see in my head.  Tonight, parts of that vision became real. And I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who called, watched, listened, opened up and helped create this thing with me. You didn’t just listen to the dream tonight. You became part of it. Thank you. Now I want to see where the night takes us next. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
KEEPING DREAMS ALIVE AND FINDING A WIFE IN VIETNAM
2026/09/05
THE DEBUT: Dreams, Late-Night Radio & Running Away to Vietnam. Welcome to the very first episode of THE LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW. This show was built around a simple idea: bring back the magic of late-night radio. The kind of radio where you never knew what was going to happen next. Strange conversations. Honest confessions. Random phone calls. Big questions. And that feeling that somewhere out there, somebody else was awake too. For the debut, Terry is joined by headline comedian Michael Pace, who has appeared on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. Michael and Terry go down the late-night radio rabbit hole, talking about the legendary hosts they grew up listening to and why those voices coming through the dashboard after dark felt so damn magical. But then things get a little deeper. What happens when you realize a dream you've carried for years might not happen? When do you keep fighting for it?When do you let it go?And how the hell do you know the difference?Terry shares his 5-step plan for keeping your hopes and dreams alive — especially when age, reality, disappointment and that annoying little voice in your head are all suggesting you should probably “be realistic. ”That conversation inspires Kami to call the show and tell us about a life-changing decision she made while trying to let go of one of her own dreams. And because this is THE LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW, somehow we also end up fantasizing about abandoning everything and living the single life in Vietnam. Dreams. Regrets. Comedy. Reinvention. Late-night confessions. Vietnam. Not bad for Night One. Turn the lights down.Put the headphones on.Stay up a little later than you should. Welcome to THE LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW. If you miss the magic of late-night radio, subscribe and become part of what we're building. And most importantly…Don’t go to bed yet See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
AFTER 33 YEARS. SHE'S ASKED ME THIS BEFORE.
2026/08/10
My wife Shari and I got away for the weekend. These little escapes have become important to us. It's a chance to reconnect, talk about the future, make plans and occasionally pretend we have our sh*t figured out. But this trip took an unexpected turn. Shari usually doesn't ask me too many questions about my career. After 33 years of marriage to a BIG dreamer, I'm pretty sure she's heard enough ideas to last several lifetimes. But she's quietly watched me dig in on one particular idea: The Late Night Radio Show. At one point she looked at me and said, "Whatever you're planning seems very personal." She was right. Then she started asking questions. Real questions. Why this show? Why now? What am I trying to create? And why does this one seem to matter so much? Since I apparently can't experience an emotional moment without eventually turning it into content, I grabbed my phone and started recording. There was no plan. No lighting. No microphones. No prepared answers.Just Shari asking me about a dream I'm still trying to figure out myself. I originally recorded this just for us—for history's sake. I wanted something I could look back on someday if this crazy vision actually becomes what I see in my head. Then I thought… maybe this is exactly the kind of conversation the show is supposed to be about. So here it is. Before the show. Before we know if it works. Before I know how the story ends. This is what the dream looks like right now See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
THIS JUST MIGHT BE WHAT I'VE BEEN PRAYING FOR
2026/02/18
SHINE with Terry Jaymes – Confidence, The Universe, Relationships & The Butter Show 🧈✨ (LIVE) Tonight felt different. I can’t explain it, but I feel like I’m getting my confidence back. Not the loud, radio-guy confidence. The grounded kind. The earned kind. The “I’ve been through some things and I’m still standing” kind. And here’s the wild part… I have this very strong feeling that the universe is taking me absolutely nowhere special. Not to a mountaintop. Not to a grand finale. Not to some glitter-covered destiny. Just… forward. And honestly? That feels amazing. We had a bunch of new faces in the live chat tonight (which fired me up more than you know), and I genuinely feel like some real friendships are forming here. That’s not algorithm. That’s energy. I also answered two powerful emails: • One from a man who feels like he’s losing his wife — and doesn’t know how to stop it. • Another about success… but this one came with a warning that most people ignore. Plus — we talked about the debut of The Butter Show 🧈 (yes, it’s happening… and yes, it’s exactly as weird as it sounds). If you’re in a season of rebuilding confidence… If you feel like life isn’t taking you somewhere “special” but you’re still hopeful… If you want honest conversation without the motivational fluff… You’re in the right place. Welcome to SHINE. We don’t sparkle. We glow from friction. #SHINEwithTerryJaymes #LiveStream #Confidence #Relationships #Over50AndFearless #TheBraveYears See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
MY 40 YEAR OLD WOMAN WORKOUT AND HOW TO BE A MASTER AT MANIFESTING
2026/02/05
Today on SHINE with Terry Jaymes… we covered cardio, butter, emotional spirals, and hope. You know — wellness. Terry kicks things off with an update on his latest fitness era: white woman workouts. That’s right. We’re talking highly committed, mildly aggressive, spiritually confusing exercise energy. If you’ve ever stretched like you’re healing generational trauma while secretly competing with everyone in the room, this one’s for you. Then we check in on the delicious empire known as The Butter Show (yes, butter journalism is still happening and yes, it still matters). But the real turn? The gym observations. Terry dives into the haunting aura of desperation surrounding older guys at the gym — men mid-rep, mid-identity crisis, still fighting to become the version of themselves they feel inside. It’s funny. It’s uncomfortable. It’s weirdly heartfelt. And Terry makes the case that the women in their lives might need to understand what’s really going on behind the protein shakes and unnecessary supersets. Then it’s email time, where things get real: How do you stay in a positive mindset when life is going good — without sabotaging it, overthinking it, or waiting for the other shoe to drop? Classic SHINE territory:Laugh. Observe humanity. Accidentally have an emotional breakthrough. If you’ve ever:• reinvented yourself at the gym • emotionally processed through snacks • felt hopeful and suspicious about it Welcome home. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
WTF IS SHINE with Terry Jaymes
2026/01/14
I couldn't let well enough alone. My new LIVE STREAMING show starts Tuesday 1/20. So I took to YouTube, Facebook and Twitch to let you know what to look for and to play my new theme song. That turned into a talk about taking responsibility for all your thoughts and actions. To quote one of the viewers "You just did your first show."  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
HOT FOR TEACHER
2025/09/03
Another round of uncomfortably honest fun with Terry Jaymes on MAKE IT WEIRD. This time we dive into the things you’d never admit at a dinner party but secretly can’t stop thinking about: Why half the planet seems to have had a thing for their teacher (and the awkward fallout).  The lies people are currently living like they’re starring in their own low-budget soap opera. And the absolute art of taking something beautiful in your life… and smashing it with both hands like it’s a piñata full of regret. It’s raw. It’s hilarious. It’s uncomfortable in all the best ways. And as always, no small talk—just straight into the deep end. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
WHY WOMAN LIKE DIRTBAGS
2025/08/25
Terry Jaymes is back with another round of raw, unfiltered calls where strangers skip the BS and dive straight into the weird. First up is Casey, who opens up about one of the worst nights of her life—turns out rock bottom comes with a few decent lessons. Next, Sasan takes us on a ride from shattered bones to the eternal mystery of why women keep chasing dirtbag dudes like it’s an Olympic sport. Finally, Ed calls in, and let’s just say things got spicy fast—this one’s definitely not safe to play in church. It’s messy, it’s awkward, it’s hilarious, and it’s all happening LIVE. No script, no safety net… just Terry and three callers proving once again that small talk is for cowards. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
IF YOUR EX ROASTED YOUR NAKED BODY
2025/08/18
MAKE IT WEIRD – Hosted by Terry Jaymes The Soul Excavator is back, baby—and he’s not here to play patty-cake with your feelings. Terry kicked things off with Sarah, who bravely answered the brutal question: “If your ex had to describe your naked body in one sentence, what kind of verbal chainsaw massacre would it be?” What started as a roast of the flesh turned into a plot twist nobody saw coming. Next up, Mellow Daniello—cool name, deep soul—got hit with the question about the last time she felt broken. Instead of a cliché, she dropped one of the most raw, thoughtful answers in the young history of the show. It was like therapy, but with more swearing. And then came Greg. Oh, Greg. He went full confessional booth and told us who he really is when nobody’s watching. Spoiler alert: it’s not what you think… unless you think he’s a philosopher trapped in a dude’s body. Every call was a reminder why this show is catching fire—no small talk, no filters, just brave souls laying themselves bare. The weird keeps growing, and so does the tribe. HOW TO DEAL WITH PURE EVIL (And Other Wisdoms From Strangers)
2025/08/11
Terry usually keeps it tight with 2–3 callers, but today he broke his own damn rule and let the weird flow way past curfew. Calib jumps in first to give Terry some unsolicited life advice (because who doesn’t love that?), Zach’s back with a purpose update that may or may not involve an existential crisis, Curt and Terry dive into how to deal with pure evil without getting arrested, Terri calls for a full-on gut-check, and Elise closes the show by wrestling with the whole “faith” thing — and whether it’s a beautiful guiding light or just a cosmic prank. It’s raw, unfiltered, and probably not safe for your delicate sensibilities… so hit play. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
ZACH DROPS A TRUTH BOMB + ANGELS?
2025/08/04
On this episode of MAKE IT WEIRD, I took calls from three bold souls who weren’t afraid to strip down emotionally and get weird with me. First up was Ed, who I smacked right out of the gate with a question about Guardian Angels. (Spoiler: he wasn’t ready. Nobody ever is.) Then Zach called feeling a little apprehensive —until something wild happened. His nerves vanished, his voice dropped an octave, and boom—he unlocked a truth bomb that might’ve just set him on the path to his actual life purpose. And finally, Sandy—sweet, mystical Sandy—reminded us all how powerful it is to have a “sacred place.” (Don’t worry, it’s not as churchy as it sounds... or maybe it is. That’s the beauty of weird.) No small talk. No BS. Just real humans, real emotions, and really weird connections. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
YOU GUYS HAVE TO STOP MAKING ME CRY
2025/07/28
You beautiful sons of bi****es have got to stop making me cry. I went LIVE thinking I’d just shoot the s with some strangers—maybe laugh a little, flex my emotional muscles, whatever. Instead, you punched me right in the soul... again. On today’s LIVE STREAM of Make It Weird, I asked Ryan how he’s doing. Like, really doing—not the “I’m fine” crap. Turns out, he’s been carrying the weight of his dad’s death for years. That convo cracked something open in both of us. It was raw, it was real, it was… weirdly healing. Then Clay called in and kept the grief train rolling—this time about losing his dogs. Yeah, dogs. Cue the waterworks, again. I tried to wrap things up on a lighter note, but Randal had other plans and hit me with a challenge that slapped me right back into the emotional deep end. This wasn’t just a show. It was group therapy with no co-pay and a bunch of misfit magic. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
DARK PASTS, CRITICISM AND PSYCHIC KAMI LIVES IN MY HEAD
2025/07/23
No small talk. No script. Just raw, unfiltered human connection. Terry Jaymes throws his phone number on the screen and dares strangers to call in live. What follows? Conversations that get deep, fast. From metaphysical madness to gut-punch regrets to bucket lists and broken dreams—nothing is off limits. This isn’t a podcast. It’s a damn soul excavation. Get weird. Stay weird. Welcome to the show. First up, Rick called in and schooled me on how to take criticism like a grown-ass adult. Then Psychic Kami showed up, flipped the script, and forced me to dig deeper—a brutal, beautiful challenge I didn’t see coming. And just when I thought I had my footing, Alison dropped a truth bomb about her dark past and how owning it transformed everything. No fluff. No filters. Just raw connection. This is MAKE IT WEIRD. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
GOING INTO SPACE WITHOUT A ROCKET
2025/07/19
Terry Jaymes is back to MAKE IT WEIRD — live, raw, and totally unscripted. No small talk. Just a phone number on the screen and whoever’s brave (or weird) enough to call. And wow, they called. First up, Randal. What started as a conversation turned into a metaphysical mind-meld—shared dreams, glitch-in-the-matrix moments, and some theories that would make your third eye twitch. Then came Kevin, who dropped a regret so real it punched Terry right in the gut. But that regret unraveled into a badass story about his life in the military and as a first responder. Heavy stuff. Honest. Hero-level soul work. Finally, Rick rang in with some lighter chaos—bucket lists, Playboy bunnies, and the kind of weird you didn’t know you needed. Another beautiful mess of truth, humor, and human connection. Hit play. Get uncomfortable. MAKE IT WEIRD.  00:00 The Transformative Power of Connection  05:26 Exploring Existence: Life, Death, and Beyond 11:06 Reinventing Identity: The Magic of Self-Discovery 19:29 Regrets and Relationships: Navigating Family Dynamics 24:40 The Weight of Experience: First Responders' Perspectives 30:17 Cherished Memories: Defining Moments in Life See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
