This episode was one we knew we had to have, and it was a long time coming. Grant opens up to Aja about the moments he realized he wasn't man enough for the relationship he wanted to have with her. From being emotionally passive, to struggling financially, to putting in the bare minimum, and almost losing Aja completely — Grant shares what the most difficult parts of growing up while being in a relationship really look like, which is something people don't talk about nearly enough. Aja and I have been together since our early 20s, and you don't realize how far you have to grow until somebody is putting a mirror in your face and showing you exactly what needs to change. Growing to be the man she needed wasn't easy, but it was what it took to become the partner Aja deserved. In this episode, we get into the years of clashing, the resentment that built up, and the breaking point where Aja couldn't see a future with me anymore and how she felt as someone who refused to lower her standards for love. We talk about what it actually felt like for me to not show up as the man in the relationship, what finally pushed me to change, and how Aja began to trust me again — the small moments, the big shifts, and everything in between. How do folks just be having kids, getting pregnant and acting all non-chalant about it? Grant and I are SUPER CHALANT. We're both nervous of becoming parents, and we're both terrified of the actual birthing process and changing our lifestyle to be more family/kid friendly. We get into everything from the dangers of pregnancy, to raising mixed kids and last but definitely not least– single motherhood and the fear of family curses. As per usual, when things get super deep, I cry.  If there's anyone else out there worried about parenthood, we hope this helps because you are definitely not alone. Ok, yall so some of you may know that back in March, Grant and I broke up because it felt like we couldn't get on the same page financially. But luckily we figured it out. In this EP we talk about dating as entrepreneurs and how money has played a major part in our relationship, our break up and us getting back together.
