008. Nothing To Prove
2026/08/13
In this episode, a community voice reflects on the pressure bi+ people can face from both straight culture and LGBTQ+ spaces to prove their sexuality through dating, sex, or relationship history.
The conversation explores how early expectations around masculinity, virginity, hookup culture, and bisexual identity can push people toward experiences they may not actually be ready for. It also challenges the idea that a bi+ person has to sleep with more than one gender in order to be considered valid.
For bi+ Black men navigating identity, sex, relationships, and community expectations, this episode is a reminder that attraction does not need to be proven through experience. Your identity is still yours, even if your history does not fit someone else’s expectations.
007. Being a Bi+ Black Man Feels Lonely
2026/08/13
In this episode, Jay reflects openly on loneliness, friendship, and the difficulty of finding meaningful community as a bi+ Black man.
He talks about what happens when old communities change, friendships become less accessible, and connection with other men can feel complicated by attraction, masculinity, emotional vulnerability, and expectations around bisexual identity.
The conversation also explores the difference between having people in your life and actually feeling connected, why emotionally intimate friendships between men can be difficult to build, and what it means to stop accepting relationships that no longer feel reciprocal.
For Bi+ Black Men who have ever felt isolated, unseen, or unsure where they fully belong, this episode is a reminder that loneliness and community can exist side by side.
006. Learning To Trust Me Again
2026/08/13
Trust isn’t only about learning who you can rely on. Sometimes it’s about rebuilding your trust in yourself after your assumptions, relationships, and sense of safety have been challenged.
In this personal reflection, J.R. (a Black man from Far Rockaway, NY) explores what it means to navigate betrayal, boundaries, self-acceptance, and emotional safety as a fluid. Through his own experiences, he examines how stereotypes, expectations, and painful interactions can shape the way we relate to others, and how learning to trust ourselves again becomes the foundation for healthier relationships.
005. Fatherless Men Finding Black Masculinity
2026/06/10
A bisexual black man speaks about uncovering masculinity through the teachings and examples set forth by black women in an environment where black father figures didn’t exist.
004. Knowing Your Feminine Half
2026/06/10
A bisexual black man talks about the importances of finding your femininity in a wold that shames you for it. In his journey he discovers that embracing both masculine and feminine energies makes him complete in ways the world never thought possible for a black man.
003. Dealing with the Labels
2026/06/09
A bisexual black man talks about how labels can restrict a persons access to exploring parts of themselves for the sake of making other people feel comfortable. In a world of colonialism, imagine how different things would be without the historical shaming of gender and sexuality.
002. My Dark Twisted Hoe Phase
2026/06/08
A bisexual black man opens up about his experiences with sex as a drug to numb himself from grief and depression. In the end, he learns a valuable lesson as he comes out of his hoe phase.
001. First Time Kissing Another Man
2026/06/08
A bisexual black man reflects on his first experience kissing another man, what surprised him, and why understanding his own masculinity became more important than the kiss itself.
