The boys chat about where their passion for content creation started, the moment their Mitchell Starc Ashes clip went viral, and why their comedy skits and sports commentary re-enactments have connected with so many people. They also get into how much work actually goes into making the clips, the number of takes, and where they reckon Shepmates can go from here.
Then there’s the fairytale of how two local footballers somehow ended up on the same field as Dustin Martin, Lance Franklin and Gary Ablett Jr in the 2026 AFL Legends Game. The boys talk about what it was like sharing a huddle with some of the biggest names in the game, BT getting names wrong from the commentary box, the infamous Dusty and Miles stoush, and what happened once the game was over.
There’s plenty more on growing up as twins, playing local footy, the people who’ve helped them along the way, their thoughts on the future of content, and plenty more. A really fun chat with two ripping young blokes who are finding their own way into the sports media world.

This week Brian and Harrison intro the show by covering all the major topics in their lives and within the AFL, including; BT’s backyard fire incident, AFL finals updates, build up to the NFL in Melbourne, and plenty more.

He reflects on the people who helped him through difficult periods and the importance of Indigenous players supporting one another inside AFL clubs.
Leon and his family, along with other First Nations players, spent plenty of time at Brian's farm, including hunting trips that became part of the unique bond they built away from the club.

#133 Scott McGrory - Champion Track Cyclist
2026/07/20

Finally, Brian shares a crazy untold story comparable to Josh Worrell’s recent incident.
Their guest this week is Olympic gold medallist, cycling commentator, and all-round good bloke, Scott McGrory. He joins the boys for one of the most remarkable stories we've heard on the podcast.
Scott's sporting journey reads like a movie script. After winning a bronze medal in the Team Pursuit at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, he endured a 12-year wait before returning to the Olympic stage. Then came the fairytale, winning gold alongside Brett Aitken in the Madison at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in front of a home crowd.
But what makes the achievement even more extraordinary is what Scott was carrying with him at the time. Just three months before those Games, he and his family suffered the heartbreaking loss of his 11-month-old son, Alexander. #130 Bill Kusznirczuk - Town Planner
2026/06/29
This week Brian and Harrison skip the entrée and go straight to the main… Bill Kusznirczuk, one of Victoria’s most respected and influential town planners, and while it might not sound like your typical footy podcast guest, this turns out to be one of the most fascinating chats we've had.
The founder and Managing Director of Clement-Stone Town Planners, Bill has spent more than 35 years helping shape Victoria's cities, suburbs, sporting precincts, and communities. Throughout his career, he's advised governments, councils, developers, and community groups on some of the state's most significant planning and infrastructure projects.
But this conversation goes far beyond town planning.
Bill reflects on his upbringing as the son of Ukrainian migrant parents, the values that shaped him, and the journey from humble beginnings to building one of the most respected planning businesses in the country. Despite his remarkable success, Bill remains incredibly humble, thoughtful, and community-minded - qualities that quickly shine through during the chat.
Having known each other for many years, BT and Bill share a genuine friendship, which leads to plenty of laughs along the way. Unsurprisingly, more than once, BT tries to turn the podcast into a private consultation, with Bill doing his best to provide answers without officially submitting an invoice.
Insightful, entertaining, and full of wisdom from someone who has quietly helped shape modern Victoria, this is a terrific chat with a brilliant operator and an even better bloke.
