84: Not Your Average Prison Warden with Warden Paul Kish
2026/09/02
This week we have Warden Paul Kish on the Neighbors podcast. Warden Kish has been in the world of prison since he was 8 years old and has been a warden himself for 4 years and before that an assistant warden for over 10 years. But, he's not your average prison warden. He loves Jesus deeply and views his facility, not as a place to rule, but a place to serve.  His life has been marked by bringing light into the prison system and now that light isn't his own, but the light of Jesus. His own story of getting baptized in front of his inmates, his relentless pursuit and fight to hold church inside of facilities, and his genuine love for the men inside those walls is inspiring and challenging. Maybe God isn't calling you to go inside of prisons, but what is He calling you to do? Like Warden Kish, just do whatever the Good Shepherd is telling you to do. -- You can follow along all things Neighbors Podcast on Instagram @neighbors_podcast  -- To join our Patreon community, The Neighborhood, go to: www.patreon.com/neighborspodcast -- For your copy of Moses: Knowing a God Who Knows You, head to our website: www.heyaliparsons.com   -- To reach out, you can email [email protected]

76: What's Your Tool? with Tasha Layton
2026/04/29
This week, Ali got to sit down with contemporary Christian music artist, author, and songwriter Tasha Layton. Tasha's story and life experience (including touring as Katy Perry's backup vocalist for 4 years) has led her to write and sing and minister from a place of authenticity and openness. Her candid spirit is refreshing and inspiring as she constantly challenges herself and others to ask what God has for us in this season. 75: Stop Running, Start Belonging with Whitney Lowe
2026/04/15
Do you know the magnitude of God's love for you? Do you know the lengths that He goes to win our hearts? We serve a God who is in constant pursuit of us and yet we slip into arm's length living with God all the time. This conversation with Whitney Lowe, we unpack the reality of God's pursuit for us and how it has the ability to change our whole life. On the other side of this pursuit is freedom and flourishing. 74: Is Spiritual Warfare Real? With Dr. Joel Muddamalle
2026/04/01
Theologian and author, Dr. Joel Muddamalle, has done the heavy lifting for us to unpack the reality of spiritual warfare from a Biblical viewpoint. Joel is my go-to guy for grounded, gospel-centered theological wisdom. This conversation is one of learning, curiosity, and unpacking what the Bible actually says about life on earth, life in the cosmos, and the ultimate desire for God, the Father, to reconcile His family. You will leave this conversation feeling challenged (many times, I could not believe this stuff is in the Bible), and equipped to push back darkness and fight for the family of God. Go get Joel's newest book, The Unseen Battle, anywhere books are found. 73: We Have to Pray with Pastor Ryan Britt
2026/03/18
As we kick off our new season of Neighbors, it only felt right to talk about prayer. There is no one I'd rather chat with about prayer than Pastor Ryan Britt. He is a friend, a pastor, and someone I seek wisdom from often. His convictions and teachings on prayer have formed much of my prayer life and his thoughts in this conversations will give you a framework for the importance of prayer alongside some practicalities of a life bathed in prayer. What is more evident than ever is we must be a praying people. If we want to see change happen in our lives, communities, and around the world, it starts with deep, rich prayer.  If you're interested in some resources we talk about (and some we don't mention, but are still great) on prayer, see below: Invitation to Solitude and Silence by Ruth Haley Barton Prayer by Tim Keller -- You can follow along all things Neighbors Podcast on Instagram @neighbors_podcast  -- To join our Patreon community, The Neighborhood, go to: www.patreon.com/neighborspodcast -- For merch or to get a copy of Daughter, head to our website: www.theneighborspodcast.com -- To reach out, you can email [email protected]
