1 Corinthians: Undivided Devotion (7:17-40)
2026/09/26
This is a message by Ash Hicks from our series in 1 Corinthians.Passage: 1 Corinthians 7:17-40
Welcome to the Newlife podcast! We’re so glad that you could join us. Newlife is one family with many churches located in Brisbane, Coolangatta, Coomera, Moreton Bay, and Robina—and we exist to see more people more like Jesus by planting and leading thriving local churches.
You've joined us for our series through 1 Corinthians, 'How Jesus Changes Everything'. Three years after planting the church in Corinth, Paul heard troubling reports—division, sexual immorality, legal disputes, confusion over spiritual gifts, doubts about the resurrection. Rather than handing down rules, Paul reasons from the story of Jesus itself, showing how the gospel reshapes every corner of ordinary life. This series is an invitation to live between the cross and the resurrection—shaped by Christ's self-giving love, carried by the hope of what's to come. More of us, more like Jesus.
Whether you're new to faith or have followed Jesus for years, this series will help you not just know who Jesus is, but experience the full, abundant, and eternal life he offers.

Renewal Sunday: The Power Of The Spirit (Acts 3:1-16)
2026/09/19
This is a message by Ps Nick Riddel on the power of the Holy Spirit.
Passage: Luke 3:1-16
Welcome to the Newlife podcast! We’re so glad that you could join us. Newlife is one family with many churches located in Brisbane, Coolangatta, Coomera, Moreton Bay, and Robina—and we exist to see more people more like Jesus by planting and leading thriving local churches.
Peter and John had no money to offer the man begging at the temple gate called Beautiful — but what they did have was something far greater. In the name of Jesus, a man lame from birth stood, walked, and went leaping and praising God. As the crowd watched on in awe & amazement, Peter swiftly redirected them: this wasn't the work of their own power or godliness. The same Spirit poured out at Pentecost was moving through two ordinary men. So, what do we glean from this? The same Holy Spirit who raised Christ from the dead and healed this man, is the same Spirit who lives within us so we can give what's been given to us in the Name of Jesus.

Hungry and Thirsty (John 7:37-39)
2026/07/11
This is a message by Ps Aaron Moore on hungering and thirsting after the Lord.
Passage: John 7:37-39

Jesus didn't just promise living water to individuals — he promised rivers flowing out from those who believe. So what happens when a whole church actually thirsts for him? Not a congregation content with routine, but one crying out for more of God's presence, overflowing into the people around us. This sermon asks what it would look like if Newlife Moreton hungered after the Lord together — a church marked by prayer instead of program, by the Spirit's fullness instead of empty ritual, and by living water spilling out into our city.

Sent Not Stuck (Genesis 32:22-32)

Jacob had spent his whole life running — from his brother, from his past, from the man he'd become. But at the ford of the Jabbok, alone in the dark, he finally stopped and wrestled until daybreak. He walked away wounded, renamed, and facing forward. In this message we find that the place where God meets you in the struggle is never the place he means for you to stay. Jacob's limp wasn't a mark of defeat — it was the evidence of an encounter, the lasting proof that he had met with God and been changed.

When Devotion Drifts (Malachi 1:6-8 & Matthew 22:34-40)
2026/06/27
This is a message by Ps Aaron Moore on what happens when our devotion to the Lord drifts.
Passage: Malachi 1:6-8 & Matthew 22:34-40

Nobody decides to stop loving God. The drift is quieter than that. In Malachi's day, the priests were still showing up, still going through the motions — but the offerings had quietly slipped from "the best" to "the leftovers," and they couldn't even see it. This episode sits in that uncomfortable gap between routine and real devotion, then turns to Jesus' answer to the question, what matters most? The way back from drift isn't trying harder at the rituals. It's returning to love.

I AM: The Word Of Life (1 John 1:1-10)
2026/06/20
This is a message by Ps Aaron Moore from our series I AM—a deep dive into the I AM statements of Jesus as we read in the gospel of John.Passage: 1 John 1:1-10
Welcome to the Newlife podcast! We’re so glad that you could join us. Newlife is one family with many churches located in Brisbane, Coolangatta, Coomera, Moreton Bay, and Robina—and we exist to see more people more like Jesus by planting and leading thriving local churches.
When God appeared to Moses at the burning bush, he gave himself a name unlike any other: I Am who I Am. Centuries later, Jesus would reach back to that same moment — and make it personal.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus offers seven extraordinary statements that begin with the words "I am." Each one is more than a title. Each one is an invitation — to know him, trust him, and experience the life only he can give.
In this series from Newlife, we journey through all seven "I Am" statements, beginning in John 1 where Jesus is revealed as the Word, and closing in 1 John where he is proclaimed as the Word of Life. Along the way, we'll discover how Jesus meets us in our deepest needs—our hunger, our lostness, our fear, our search for meaning—and how his ancient words are more relevant than ever.
Whether you're new to faith or have followed Jesus for years, this series will help you not just know who Jesus is, but experience the full, abundant, and eternal life he offers.
