Description

Welcome to Flock Talk, the podcast from The Femme Flock celebrating the people, creativity, community, and culture that make the jam scene what it is. Hosted by women from across the jam scene and members of The Femme Flock community, Flock Talk tells the stories of the people who make this scene more than just the music. We sit down with artists from the bands we love, emerging women musicians, community organizers, nonprofits, creatives, and the people building something special within the scene. From life on tour and the magic of live music to community, fashion, wellness, and the wonderfully weird culture that comes with it, we’re here for the conversations you don’t always hear and the people worth knowing. At its core, Flock Talk is about making more room at the party: amplifying women and underrepresented voices, building community, and celebrating a scene where everyone deserves to feel like they belong. So grab your glitter, find your flock, and flock on. This podcast is produced in partnership with Osiris Media.

Episode 27: The Flock Talks Freakz & Weekz with Trevor Weekz — Part 2
2026/10/06
Freakz & Weekz is officially off leash. After covering music, Goose, sobriety, touring, and the slightly more respectable topics in Part 1, Trevor Weekz returns for the considerably less supervised half of our Flock Talk conversation. First, Trevor gives his official rulings with a game we call Fire or Not Fire: sea otters vs. river otters, fridge cigs, glitter, top sheets, themed parties, Microsoft Excel, simping over a guy in a band, and more. Then we go fully off leash. From Pokémon and poetry to the Goose group chat and some truly questionable hypotheticals, we ask Trevor the questions no one else is asking, and somehow, he answers (most of) them. By the end of this episode, you’ll know more about Trevor Weekz than you ever thought possible. Whether you needed to know all of it is another question. It’s weird. It’s chaotic. It’s Freakz & Weekz. Music: “Dance In The Desert” — Daniel Donato The Femme Flock is a community-driven collective celebrating the people, creativity, and culture of the jam scene . Through music, connection, conversation, and a little glitter, we’re here to help build a more inclusive scene for everyone. Want to join the flock? Get involved here. We get into his musical influences, improvisation, stage style, the Goose fan community, internet fame, and the mysterious world of DJ Marb Menthols. Trevor also opens up about sobriety, navigating touring and the live music world sober, and how that experience has shaped his life. Plus: transition lenses, Canadian tuxedos, otters, and considerably more. This is Part 1 of our two-part conversation with Trevor Weekz. Music: “Dance In The Desert” — Daniel Donato The Femme Flock is a community-driven collective celebrating the people, creativity, and culture of the jam scene . 2026/05/05
You can’t spell Mom without Mo. This Mother’s Day, we’re joined by Maura Reilly—aka Mo—and Amy Hoaglund, the mom and sister of Rick Mitarotonda of the band Goose, for a warm, funny, and personal episode of Flock Talk. From early musical influences and imaginative childhood stories to navigating loss and finding healing through music, this conversation captures the full picture of family, creativity, and resilience. It wouldn’t be Flock Talk without a few unexpected turns, so yes, there are some very funny stories you won’t see coming (you’ll just have to listen). We also talk Mother’s Day unconventional traditions, the power of community within the Goose fandom, and what it means to show up for the people you love. This one is about motherhood, music, and the people behind it all. Wishing a very Happy Mother's Day to all our Femme Flock moms out there! 2025/07/16
This episode, we’re flipping the script and hearing straight from the next generation of jam band lovers.
