174. Sundays Are Simple: Peace Begins With a Mere 10 Minutes
2026/09/27
Hello, beautiful! We made it, my sweet. September asked a lot of us, and we walked all the way through it and back into the light. So now, we build our inner peace. One step at a time. Because peace isn't a place you arrive at once and you're finished; it's something you create, and then tend, a little at a time, like a garden. And here's the heart of it: your outer peace begins with your inner peace, because you simply can not pour from a cup that's bone dry. So this week, we start filling yours, and I'm bringing back a gentle little movement I started years ago and have missed ever since: Sundays Are Simple. You’ll Learn: 👣 Why your outer peace always begins with your inner peace, and why you can't pour from an empty cup 👣 The Rumi line that turns your wounds into windows, the very place the light gets in 👣 The one simple practice I'm resurrecting: ten minutes, at least one day a week, just for you ✨ Plus, the return of Sundays Are Simple, and your gentle little assignment to fill your own cup this week. 📖 Grab your tea and your copy of My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, & Radiate, available at: https://riselovelive.com/MyBelovedAmazon 🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? Share this episode with a friend —it might be the gentle nudge they’ve been waiting for. 🌿 Please Stay in Touch: 🦋And if you want to bring my message to your women's group, church, retreat, or team, I’d be honored. 173. Do You See Me? Walk Into the Light & Find Peace
2026/09/20
Hello, beautiful! We made it, my sweet. After two tender weeks down in the valley, this week we walk back out into the light together, and oh, it’s beautiful out here. I've been saving a line from Wayne Dyer for exactly this morning: "Heaven on earth is a choice you must make, not a place you must find." Because so often we wait, once I beat this self-doubt, once everything lines up, THEN I'll feel like a beloved child of God. But heaven isn't a place you finally arrive at. It's a choice you make, right in the middle of the mess. And the best news of all? God didn't stay far off from that mess. He moved right into the neighborhood, and He's making everything new, starting with you. You’ll Learn: 👣 Your Dark Self-Doubt is Temporary 👣 God is your Lamp, your Light 👣 How to carry a little pocket of heaven out your front door and hand it to the next person you meet   ✨ Plus, a prayer for the woman still wandering the halls of that cramped little house of doubt, and the reminder that the last word on you was never "broken." It was always "new."   📖 Grab your tea and your copy of My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, & Radiate available at: https://riselovelive.com/MyBelovedAmazon   💛 A gentle word: if this September has been heavy for you or someone you love, please know you are not alone, and you are not a burden. You can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time, day or night. September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month; let's keep seeing each other, and let's keep the light on.    🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? 172. Do You See Me? Going After the One
2026/09/13
Hello, beautiful! Thank you for walking this journey with me, my sweet. Two weeks in, and it means the world. Last week we sat with the truth that you are seen. This week, we go a little deeper, and a little braver. There's a story in Luke where Jesus tells us about a shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one sheep that wandered off, and it's the heart of this whole episode. He doesn't wait at the gate for the lost one to find her own way home. He goes. And this week, we learn to go too, to be tuned in to the friend, the sister, the mama, the child who slipped a little further away while everyone was looking somewhere else. You’ll Learn: 👣 Why the shepherd leaves the ninety-nine, and what that means for the one you love who's gone quiet 👣 A few gentler, quieter signs to notice: in her words, her tone, and one that hides inside a sudden calm 👣 How to be the anchor and the raft without ever having to fix her, and the grace to see the people right in front of you   ✨ Plus, a prayer for the woman who feels like the lost little sheep, and a reminder that He is already coming for her.   📖 Grab your tea and your copy of My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, & Radiate, available at: https://riselovelive.com/MyBelovedAmazon   💛 A gentle word before you go: if you or someone you love is struggling, please know you are not alone, and you are not a burden. You can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time, day or night. 171. Hello, Do You See Me?
2026/09/06
Hello, beautiful! Here we are again, my sweet. September. A month to slow down, take a pause, and check in on each other. Do you see me? And more importantly, do you know that you are seen? That little ache to be noticed, to not be overlooked when our light feels like it's dimming, is underneath so much of what we carry. So this month we're gently leaning into the truth that you are seen, you are held, and you are a beautiful child of God, exactly as you are right now. You’ll Learn: 👣 The name a runaway, invisible woman named Hagar gave God in the desert, and why it's for you too 👣 Three gentle signs that a friend may be struggling, without turning you into a detective 👣 How to simply be there for her, sitting in the dirt like Job's friends, no fixing required    ✨ Plus, a prayer for the woman who feels unseen, and a reminder that sometimes the most honest prayer is just letting yourself be seen. 170. Find Your Calm Through Presence and Gratitude
2026/08/30
Hello, beautiful! For weeks now we have done deep, tender work together: the essence arc, the river, the pain and the processing. So this week, my sweet, we exhale. Are you standing at the almost-halfway-through-the-year mark feeling a little restless? Chasing a shinier version of yourself that always seems just out of reach? Then come sit with me for a few quiet minutes. This one is a pause, a breath, and a gentle homecoming to the day right in front of you. You'll Learn: 👣 Why looking back is a pause for reflection 👣 How to trade the need for "more" for the blessings you already have 👣 Your Sacred First Hour   ✨ Plus, a gentle prayer and a quiet little challenge for the woman who is tired of reaching and wants to feel present again.   📖 Grab your tea and your copy of My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, & Radiate, available at: https://riselovelive.com/MyBelovedAmazon   🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? 169. Are You Overwhelmed? Push Through One Step at a Time
2026/08/23
Hello, beautiful! So, can I ask you something, just between us? Are you overwhelmed? Because I sure have been. This week I hit an 8, and do you know what I did about it? I went and dusted. On purpose. And if you know me at all, you know that is a five-alarm sign that something is off, because I loathe dusting. Here’s the sneaky truth. When we’re overwhelmed, we tend to do everything except the one thing that actually moves our needle. The weeding, the laundry, the dusting; it all feels productive, but none of it is the big, brave thing that changes our lives. So today I am not adding to your plate. I am handing you three small but mighty ways to push through, one gentle step at a time. Grab your tea, settle in, and let's do this together. You’ll Learn: 👣 Why we do everything except the one thing that moves our needle 👣 The one-corner, ten-minutes-with-a-timer trick that beats avoidance 👣 How keeping small promises to yourself quiets self-doubt and builds real confidence   ✨ Plus, you'll hear a gentle prayer for the woman who is worn out, overwhelmed, and just needs permission to take the next small step.   📖 Grab your tea and your copy of My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, & Radiate available at: https://riselovelive.com/MyBelovedAmazon.    🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? 168. Have You Processed Your Pain, or Is It a Crutch?
2026/08/16
Hello, Beautiful! "The pain will leave you when it's done teaching you." Heidi heard that line recently and filed it straight under commandments.   This week, she hands you two: that one and another that stopped her cold when she saw it written on the page.   Are you willing to go through pain to get what you truly want?   This is a different kind of episode, my sweet. Not one to fix, solve, or research. Just one to sit with.    Heidi invites you to slow down and process; to stop stuffing the hard things down, to bring your pain into the light where it can't survive, and to ask yourself one honest question that only you can answer.   Are you using your pain to drive you? Or leaning on it like a crutch? There's no shame here. Only grace, a little Lauren Daigle, and a whole lot of hope.   You’ll Discover 👣 Why processing your pain matters more than fixing it 👣 What it means to bring pain into the light so it loses its power 👣 How to tell the difference between pain that drives you and pain you're leaning on   ✨ Plus two Scriptures, a prayer for the weary, and a reminder that you are never forgotten.   📖 Grab your tea and your copy of My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, & Radiate available at: https://riselovelive.com/MyBelovedAmazon   💛 And a gentle note: this episode sits with real pain, and we're heading into September, which is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.   If you’re carrying something heavy, please reach out.   In the US, you can call or text 988 anytime to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. You are never as alone as you feel, and the world is so much better with you in it.    🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? Share this episode with a friend —it might be the gentle nudge they’ve been waiting for.   🌿 Please Stay in Touch: 🦋And if you want to bring my message to your women's group, church, retreat, or team, I’d be honored. 167. A River is Like a Woman
2026/08/09
Hello, beautiful! A river never travels in a straight line. She begins small, high on a mountain or hidden in the forest. She rushes, she’s still, she goes over the rocks. Some seasons she is glass.   Women are like a river. Some seasons she’s a current she didn't choose. And still, she’s always moving toward the sea. This week something poured out of Heidi: a poem from years ago that suddenly grew into something much bigger. Sitting with Day 7 of My Beloved and Isaiah 66:12, "when peace, like a river, attendeth my way," she found herself seeing her whole life in the water. The stillness and the strong current. The logs that stuck her for a season. The rocks that became waterfalls. And the One carrying her the whole way, like a raft, to the shore. This is a gentle, floating kind of episode. Come rest in it. You’ll Learn: 🌊 Why every season you've been through, the calm and the current, is still moving you forward 🌊 How to find peace on the log, in the season where you feel stuck 🌊 What it means to be carried, supported, and never alone   ✨ Plus a poem, a prayer, and a blessing of peace spoken right over you.   📖 Grab your tea and your copy of My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, & Radiate available at: https://riselovelive.com/MyBelovedAmazon   🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? 166. Have You Lost Your Mojo? So Did I
2026/08/02
Hello, beautiful! Have you ever been stuck and couldn't figure out why?   You’re not tired, certainly not lazy, just... off. Your mojo packed a bag and left no forwarding address.   Well, then I think you need to have a listen! This is week three of our Essence series: Breath, Heart, Soul.   We released what we were holding. We faced what we were hiding. And now we come home to who we are: our soul, our essence, the part of you nobody put there but Him. Heidi confesses a very real slump, the reels that didn't get made, the creativity that went quiet, and the moment Day 3 of her own devotional stopped her cold and reminded her of the simplest thing she'd forgotten to do. You’ll Learn: 👣 Why a slump is often an invitation, not a failure 👣 The one thing I forgot to do, and finally did, on my knees 👣 What it means to always live from your identity as a beloved child of God   ✨ Plus, a gentle guided meditation, a little Brand New Day wink, and a prayer to help you breathe it all in and step into your own fresh start.    📖 Grab your tea and your copy of My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, & Radiate available at: https://a.co/d/05z6nSdX   💛 A gentle note: if you're carrying something heavier than a slump, please reach out. 165. What Lie Have You Told Yourself? Here's Mine
2026/07/26
Hello, beautiful! The most dangerous lies you'll ever hear are not the ones somebody tells you. They're the ones you tell yourself, in your own voice, in your kitchen.   And you never think to question them! This is week two of our Essence series: Breath, Heart, Soul. Last week we released what we're holding. This week we look at what we're hiding. Heidi tells the truth about her 2018 layoff, the confidence that turned to crickets, the season she called Pity City, and the lie she believed for far too long, until someone who loved her refused to let her stay there. You’ll Learn: 👣 The three steps down when you stop being honest with yourself  👣 Why "I'm fine" is the first lie, and the hardest one to catch 👣 What Ray kept saying that I couldn't hear for months    ✨ Plus, you'll hear a few funny moments, heartfelt reflections, and a powerful prayer to help you embrace the season you're in with faith and courage.    📖 Grab your tea and your copy of My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, & Radiate available at: https://a.co/d/05z6nSdX    🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? 164. The Cure for Your Pain Is Salt: Tears, Sweat & the Sea
2026/07/19
Hello, beautiful! There's a kind of crying that makes no sound at all. If you've ever been down on that floor, this episode is for you. Isak Dinesen believed that saltwater—whether sweat, tears, or the sea—is the remedy for everything. That quote sits right in my heart. So, this week, we’re starting a new three-part series, Breathe - Heart - and we land on Soul, your Essence, and we begin with breath, because you cannot receive the truth while you're holding your breath. You’ll Learn: 👣 Why the cure for anything is saltwater, and what Isak Dinesen understood about your body  👣 The three salty ways out of what you're carrying: cry, write, move  👣 Why Scripture calls your wordless sighs prayer, not brokenness 👣 The one-breath shortcut you can do at a red light   ✨ This Wednesday, July 22, My Beloved: A 30-Day Devotional to Receive, Release, and Radiate arrives. It's also Heidi's birthday. 163. Why Does Confidence Need Balance: Hubris & Humility
2026/07/12
Hello beautiful! 💛 You know I love talking confidence around here — but today, we're flipping the lens. Because confidence without a check on it isn't strength, it's a setup. So we're talking humility: the thing that keeps our confidence from tipping into something it was never meant to be. You'll Learn: 👣 Why asking for help is actually the wiser, more confident move (hint: Proverbs 28:26 says so) 👣 The Greek concept of hubris — and why the gods always punished it 👣 Five practical, humble ways to ask for help (borrowed from Psychology Today, with a faith-rooted twist) 👣 Why gratitude is the step most of us skip — and why it matters most 📖 Grab your tea and your Life Design Workbook: https://etsy.me/3Txdc1z— and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook!   🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? 162. How Affirmations Help You Step Up & Ignite Joy
2026/07/05
Hello, beautiful! Have you ever thought about the dash — that tiny little line between your birth date and your death date on a headstone?   It doesn't look like much. But it's everything.   In today's episode, I'm showing you how affirmations can help you step up and ignite real joy — even when fear or imposter syndrome is trying to keep you stuck.   Pulling from an old poem called "Between the Dash," a Christmas trip gone sideways in a Virginia castle (yes, really), and a question that's been sitting in my Trello board for four years: what if every life really does have a story worth telling — including yours?   We'll sit with Psalm 90:12, wrestle with the fear that keeps so many of us stuck in inaction, and walk through a full centering exercise and affirmation practice to help you step into joy and take one small, brave step today.   You'll Learn: 👣 How affirmations help you step up and release fear and self-doubt 👣 Why the "dash" matters more than the dates on either side of it 👣 A simple centering + affirmation practice to ignite joy and take action   ✨ Plus, you'll hear a heartfelt prayer to help you lay down fear, shame, and hesitation — and pick up your gumption instead.   📖 Grab your tea and your Affirmation Journal, available at: https://riselovelive.com/Affirmation%20Guide — and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook!   🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? 161. Finish the Year Strong: See It Before You Live It
2026/06/28
Hello, beautiful! We're back for Part 2 of our Finish the Year Strong series — and if you haven't listened to Episode 160 yet, go back and start there!   Last week, we talked about Walt Disney and Conrad Hilton and what their bankruptcy-before-breakthrough stories teach us about motivation, God's timing, and never giving up on our dreams.   Today, we're going deeper into how we can take that motivation and put it to work through two practices: Visualization and Meditation.   And I promise you, neither one requires perfection or an hour of silence. Just a willing heart and five minutes to start.   In this episode, you'll discover: 👣 How to use visualization in under thirty minutes a day 👣 Why staying rooted in reality — not fantasy — actually makes it more powerful 👣 My meditation toolkit 👣 And why the "best" method is simply the one you'll actually show up for   📖 Grab your tea and your Dream your Dreams | Plan your Life Workbook, available at: https://etsy.me/3TcASYK — and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook!   🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? 160. Finish the Year Strong: The Story of Two Dreamers
2026/06/21
Hello, beautiful! Mid-year check-in: how's that to-do list looking? No judgment here — my book was supposed to be done in March, and I’m just now hitting "upload" on Amazon. (Big announcement still coming, by the way!)   That said, this episode is part one of a true-story two-parter about what it actually takes to get things done.   And we lay the groundwork with Motivation.   Listen to the tales of two very different men, Walt Disney and Conrad Hilton, whose stories of bankruptcy before breakthrough might just change how you see your own "stuck" season.   You’ll Learn: 👣 What "motivation" actually means — and why it's a drive, not just a feeling 👣 Why Habakkuk 2:3 and Jeremiah 29:11 are the perfect pairing for anyone waiting on a dream 👣 And you’ll walk away with a beautiful motivational toolkit   📖 Grab your tea and your Dream Your Dreams Workbook, available at: https://etsy.me/3TcASYK — and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook!   🌟 Know someone who needs a little light?
