Sullivan of a remote Alaskan fishing village, was ‘mysteriously’ added to the ballot opposite Republican incumbent Dan S. Sullivan and Democratic Challenger Mary Peltola.  The guys discuss the NY Times story linking the scandal directly to the Peltola campaign, alleging the motive was to fraudulently confuse and syphon off votes from the incumbent Republican.  Catch also the guys’ take on the current U.S. debt level and why the proverbial can will likely continue to get kicked down the road on this problem.  Bud asks Kevin if there will be a generation that will be willing to sacrifice to alleviate some of the debt load.  What do you think?  Hear both of the guys’ responses.  Watch or listen in and see who’s right!

n the latest edition of the 12:2 Podcast, Kevin and Bud cover a number of issues  relating to faith and culture.  First, in an interesting exchange, Kevin brings some clarity around  the Seven Laws of Noah, or ‘Noahide Laws’, which according to the Talmud were given by God to Noah and his sons.  Many Jews live by these guidelines fairly rigorously. Then, the guys exchange thoughts on how to decide on voting choices in the upcoming midterm elections.  What do you do when races have non Bible-believing candidates?  How do you choose?

Join Bud on this solo edition of the 12:2 Podcast as he discusses the need to grasp the intentions of our nation’s founders.  He centers on the unalienable rights that, according to the Declaration of Independence, are ‘endowed by the Creator’, through Whom, incidentally, all men are created equal - these rights being Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.  Bud makes the case that these rights are indeed from God, and are well-established early on, in Genesis 2 in the Creation account.     Bud then addresses why all this makes America Satan’s #1 target for destructions, seeking to replace this Biblical influence with a man-centered society.  Finally, he gives his thoughts on how Christians should react to this warfare of Satan upon our nation.

Bud flies solo in the latest installment of the 12:2 Podcast.  Tune in and see if he crashes the plane!    In this edition, he gives an introduction of the upcoming message series ‘America at 250: Preserving Biblical Values’ by framing up a Biblical definition of Freedom.  He makes the point that freedom is what separates America from all the other nations of the world, and it is what makes so many in the world want to see our nation taken down.  This in itself goes a long way toward proving that the founders of our nation had the right ideas, and they put the right ideas into commitments with the Constitution, the Declaration, the Bill of Rights, etc.  Make it a goal to be better prepared to defend the Bible and its guidelines – the ‘boundaries’ as Bud refers to them in the podcast.

Join Kevin and Bud on this new edition of the 12:2 Podcast as they step for the first time into the BIG topic of Artificial Intelligence.  Our president says that ‘AI will be the biggest game changer we have seen since the Industrial Revolution.’  That certainly seems within the realm of possibility.  But others are claiming that AI will have the capability of taking over things and even putting humanity out of business!  Is this a fair warning or is it just another overblown scare tactic designed to get attention or to impose control upon people?   How does God’s Word address it?   The guys will certainly be talking more about this BIG topic as time goes on.  In the meantime, thanks for watching and / or listening!

Kevin and Bud discuss this busy time of recognition of  anniversaries of some really tough events.  The Charlie Kirk murder a year ago has left such a big hole in the world of Christianity.  In the world of ‘You just don’t know the full impact of someone until they’re gone…’ Kevin speaks to Charlie Kirk being a ‘one of a kind’ leader who was never ‘out-debated’.  Then, with so many folks in today’s world not being fully aware of the impact of 9/11 and the subsequent coming and going of the patriotic unity felt in America, the appreciation of what actually happened that day is being lost along with the memories.   A look at today’s version of capitalism leads the guys from a discussion of the impact of economics on today’s healthcare industry, to Kevin’s analogy that gets us back to the real origin of the ‘hospital’/.  Don’t miss it!

Matriarchy and the Pressure Faced by Christian Women – Join Bud and Pastor Ray in a 12:2 Podcast Extra, as they discuss our culture’s trend of the victimization of women, and the resulting pressure that Christan women feel to remain quiet while standards of Biblical Christianity continue to be watered down.   Ray cites the fact that women, due to a greater level of emotional sensitivity, tend to get deeper into their relationships than guys, and that can lead to places of deeper conflict. But – they can also get offended more easily than guys.  The recent  Lindsey Clancy trial points up the trend toward an ‘over-empathy’ of ‘victimized women’ being used to justify even the murder of a mother’s children. Ray raises the question, ‘What world are we living in?’

Join Kevin and Bud for the first podcast of the new season!  The guys discuss the WNBA’s multiple controversies.  They talk about how the league has come to be known more for its political and moral (or lack thereof) stands than its actual competition.  Also, why would a league want to do the very things that would destroy it by advocating for biological men to play against biological women?  The real reason may surprise you.

It looks like it’s happened.  On Sunday the U.S. and Iran have reached an agreement to end the war, with the Strait of Hormuz opened and Iran committing to never having a nuclear weapon.  On a podcast recorded just before the agreement was reached, Kevin and Bud take a quick look at the religious and historical context of the pervasive conflicts that Iran has had for years with the U.S., Israel and even other Arab-related states in the region. Th e guys also discuss the still very real risks and implications of the deal, including the political ramifications here in our U.S. elections.
