Frick inductee into Cooperstown than the Reds' broadcast. The longtime Voice of the Reds reflects on a career and a life in baseball, what he's doing now and his takes on good friend Terry Francona and those who have left us in Joe Nuxhall, Joe Morgan and of course, Pete Rose. Marty joins Trags to discuss all these topics and more on the latest Code Reds pod.

Code Reds Should Reds try hard to extend Sal Stewart long term? What can Terry Francona do now?
2026/06/10
CINCINNATI -- There's plenty of concern about a Reds team that has underperformed for many reasons for the last 33 games. There's injuries to their top starter, their top slugger and their closer. Their starters that are healthy aren't going long enough in games, their relievers fall behind in the count too often or are too exposed and burned out and their offense relies too heavily on the long-ball. What can be done to turn the ship around? What about the long-term future of Sal Stewart with the Reds? Should the Reds go all-out to extend him at a young age? Mark Sheldon of MLB.com joins Trags to discuss.

Code Reds Recapping RedsFest, Elly De La Cruz and What s Left To Be Done before Spring Training
2026/01/19
CINCINNATI -- Elly De La Cruz once again dominated the headlines over the weekend as news broke that the Reds offered him a record contract to buy out the years of his arbitration, which begin in 2027. Multiple outlets reported that the deal would've been more than the $225 million Joey Votto signed in 2012 for 10 years. De La Cruz also explained that while he's disappointed, he understands why he can't play in the World Baseball Classic this spring for his homeland of the Dominican Republic, choosing instead to be fully healthy and ready for a Reds run at the postseason in 2026. Pat Brennan of the Cincinnati Enquirer joins Trags to discuss this and much more on the latest episode of the Code Reds podcast, the first episode of season 3.
