Andrew Villalpando Found Comedy Gold in Church Culture
2026/10/26
What happens when a former church leader starts making comedy videos about the things Christians are all thinking but nobody wants to say? More than 100 million views and a rapidly growing career in comedy!
On this episode of Stories Worth Hearing, John Quick sits down with viral Christian comedian and content creator Andrew Villalpando, who's taking social media by storm with hilarious, clean comedy about church culture, celebrity pastors, and the funny side of Christianity.
Andrew shares how he went from nearly a decade working behind the scenes in ministry to becoming one of the exciting new voices in Christian comedy. He reveals how his first videos took off, where he gets his hilarious ideas, how he handles criticism, and his big dreams of television, acting, and comedy tours.
But there's more to Andrew than making people laugh. He opens up about losing his father at just 20 years old, finding humor during life's darkest moments, and why his faith remains at the center of everything he does. He also shares his passion for helping people, advocating for prison reform, and giving others a second chance.
This is a fun, inspiring conversation about pursuing unexpected opportunities, turning pain into purpose, and discovering that sometimes laughter can open the door to something much bigger.

Nivia Bejarano: How a Homeless Teenager Became a Beacon of Hope for Others
2026/10/21
What if everything you survived in life was preparing you to become the person who changes someone else's future?
Nivia Bejarano's story is one of extraordinary resilience, determination, and the power of turning pain into purpose.
Growing up in the Bronx, New York, Nivia spent much of her childhood in foster care. Her mother struggled with addiction, her family life was unstable, and by her teenage years, Nivia had experienced homelessness, hunger, abandonment, and the painful reality of navigating the world without the support most children take for granted.
At one point, a school guidance counselor suggested she drop out rather than help her overcome her circumstances. She slept in a car, struggled to find food, and faced challenges that could have easily destroyed her hope for a better future.
But Nivia refused to let her circumstances determine the rest of her life.
In this deeply moving conversation, John Quick, host of Stories Worth Hearing, sits down with Nivia to explore how a young girl who once felt forgotten by the world became a successful artist, entrepreneur, curator, and founder of Arts After Dark, one of Las Vegas' largest independently operated community art centers.
Nivia shares the defining moments that changed her life, including leaving dangerous environments behind, caring for her grandmother, confronting her struggles with alcohol, and discovering that creating a different future required difficult decisions about the people, habits, and environments surrounding her.
Art became more than a creative outlet. It became her lifeline.
After years of producing exhibitions and creating opportunities for artists, Nivia pursued a boarded-up building in Las Vegas with a vision of transforming it into something her community desperately needed.
Today, that vision is Arts After Dark, a 6,600-square-foot creative community that has showcased more than 1,000 artists in just over a year. Nivia has built an environment where artists can exhibit their work, develop their talents, learn to generate income, and connect with people who genuinely want them to succeed.
And she does it without charging artists to showcase their work.
But the most powerful part of Nivia's story isn't what she has built. It's why she built it.
Nivia remembers Anna Rye, a woman who taught ceramics at a Boys & Girls Club when Nivia was a little girl. While others overlooked her struggles, Anna offered kindness, encouragement, and a safe place to create. Decades later, Nivia still honors her by offering free ceramics classes to others.
One person's kindness helped change Nivia's life. Now she's determined to pass that gift on to thousands more.
Nivia also shares her ambitious vision for the future: creating a community where young adults aging out of foster care can find housing, learn trades, explore their creativity, earn money, and build meaningful relationships.
Throughout this inspirational conversation, John and Nivia explore childhood trauma, homelessness, addiction, entrepreneurship, personal responsibility, compassion, and what it truly means to create lasting change.
Nivia Bejarano is living proof that your past does not have to define your future, and sometimes the greatest legacy we can leave behind is becoming the person we once needed.

Pastor Mike Signorelli: Are UFOs Actually Demons? Aliens, Spiritual Warfare & the Truth About Jesus
2026/10/19
Are UFOs and aliens actually connected to the spiritual realm? Could mysterious encounters that people believe are extraterrestrial actually have a biblical explanation? And is spiritual warfare happening around us without us even realizing it?
Pastor Mike Signorelli returns to Stories Worth Hearing with John Quick for a fascinating conversation about UFO disclosure, aliens, demons, angels, Christianity, and the unseen spiritual world.
Signorelli reveals details about a private briefing he attended with individuals he describes as having former U.S. military and intelligence connections. According to Signorelli, the group discussed unexplained phenomena, encounters with mysterious entities, and a series of predictions he says later came true. He also clarifies misinformation surrounding the meeting, explaining that it was not a White House briefing.
The conversation explores his belief that some UFO and alien phenomena may be better understood as interdimensional or spiritual rather than extraterrestrial. Drawing from biblical accounts of angels, demons, the Nephilim, and spiritual encounters, Signorelli challenges conventional thinking about the supernatural.
But this conversation goes far beyond UFOs.
John and Pastor Mike also discuss:
Who Jesus really is: Why Signorelli believes modern culture has created competing versions of Jesus that often miss the truth of Christianity.
From atheism to Christianity: How a college biology professor challenged his faith, leading him to explore world religions before returning to Christianity through the work of astrophysicist Dr. Hugh Ross.
UFOs, aliens, and biblical prophecy: Why Signorelli believes some unexplained phenomena may have connections to the spiritual realm.
Angels, demons, and spiritual warfare: What the Bible says about supernatural encounters and how spiritual forces may influence everyday life.
The dangers of overlooking spiritual warfare: Why Signorelli believes many American churches avoid discussing demons, deliverance, and the unseen world.
Faith, science, and prayer: Why Signorelli sees growing interest in prayer, including among prominent scientists and podcasters, as an opportunity for deeper conversations about faith.
The discussion also touches on Signorelli's new book, The Unoffendable Heart, which explores forgiveness, overcoming offense, and finding freedom from bitterness in an increasingly divided world.
The episode concludes with Pastor Mike offering a personal prayer for listeners, including those facing difficult circumstances, struggling with their faith, or searching for answers.
Whether you're a committed Christian, a skeptic, fascinated by UFO disclosure, or simply curious about the supernatural, this conversation offers a thought-provoking look at some of life's biggest questions.

From B-2 Stealth Bombers to the Boardroom: Lt. Gen. Dick Newton on Leadership, 9/11, and the American Dream
2026/10/09
What does it take to rise to the rank of three-star general, command some of America's most powerful military aircraft, and then build an entirely new career in business, finance, and national media?
On Stories Worth Hearing, host John Quick sits down with retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Richard "Dick" Newton for a fascinating conversation about military service, leadership, entrepreneurship, faith, and the opportunities that continue to define the American Dream.
Newton spent 34 years serving in the United States Air Force, rising to become Assistant Vice Chief of Staff and serving under multiple presidential administrations. From commanding the first B-2 stealth bomber squadron to leading a B-52 bomber wing at Minot Air Force Base during the September 11 terrorist attacks, his career placed him at the center of some of the most consequential moments in modern American military history.
He shares what it was like to command an Air Force base on 9/11, prepare thousands of service members and their families for an uncertain future, and transition from peacetime operations to combat missions in Afghanistan just weeks later.
But Newton's story didn't end when he retired from the military in 2012.
He went on to build a remarkable second career in corporate leadership, serving on major investment and corporate boards, including Victory Capital and Terran Orbital, while expanding into consulting, artificial intelligence, energy, and national security. Today, he's also a senior national security contributor for NewsNation and serves on the National Security Advisory Council of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition.
The conversation explores how leadership principles learned in the military translate into the boardroom, why America's economic strength is essential to national security, and whether the American Dream is still alive for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Newton also opens up about the importance of faith and family, his commitment to mentoring future leaders, and the advice he gives young professionals looking to build meaningful careers. His message is simple: never stop learning, find great mentors, take calculated risks, and pursue opportunities that align with your values.
From flying stealth bombers to navigating Wall Street and national television, Dick Newton's journey is a powerful story of service, reinvention, and leadership.
Stories Worth Hearing with John Quick brings you conversations with remarkable people whose experiences, accomplishments, and lessons offer inspiration for life, leadership, and business.

Can You Be Christian and a Scientologist? Gunnar Shares His Story
2026/09/24
What draws someone to Scientology, and what is it like to explore it for yourself?
On Stories Worth Hearing, host John Quick sits down with Gunnar, who works with the Church of Scientology in the Twin Cities, for a conversation about his personal journey. Raised Catholic, Gunnar first encountered Scientology through his parents but didn’t pursue it seriously until he was older. He shares how an experience following a wrist injury at age 18 sparked his interest in Dianetics and why he returned to Scientology after college.
John asks the questions many curious people have: What happens when you walk into a Church of Scientology? What is Dianetics? Can someone explore Scientology while remaining Christian or practicing another faith? Gunnar explains how he answers those questions, what he wishes more people understood, and why helping others became central to his work. He also discusses the humanitarian programs he’s involved with and the questions people bring to him after seeing his videos online.
The conversation turns to Gunnar’s approach to social media: how he comes up with ideas, why he keeps his videos short, and how those videos lead to conversations with people who might never have visited a church. It’s an open, unscripted chance to hear his story and perspective in his own words. If you’d like to learn more, Gunnar recommends Scientology.org and Scientology.tv.

Sir Marco Robinson: From Homeless Kid to Building Billion-Dollar Businesses
2026/07/03
What does it take to go from sleeping on the streets to building billion-dollar businesses and earning a knighthood for changing lives?
On this episode of Stories Worth Hearing, host Jonathan Quick sits down with Sir Marco Robinson to explore one of the most extraordinary entrepreneurial journeys you'll ever hear.
Growing up homeless, Marco refused to let his circumstances define his future. By his twenties, he had been recruited to lead a struggling public company, helping transform it into a $1 billion enterprise in just three years. From there, he built multiple multi-million-dollar companies, became an eight-time #1 bestselling author, created and starred in the hit Channel 4 television series Get a House for Free, invested in and helped produce the Netflix hit Legacy of Lies, and built a real estate portfolio of more than 100 investment properties.
But Marco believes his greatest achievement isn't measured in dollars. His humanitarian work helping change the law in Malaysia so guide dogs could accompany blind citizens into public places earned him the honorary title of Dato' Seri, the equivalent of a knighthood, impacting more than 350,000 people.
In this conversation, we discuss entrepreneurship, resilience, leadership, overcoming adversity, building companies, investing, television, philanthropy, and why your past never has to determine your future.
If you're an entrepreneur, business owner, investor, or someone looking for inspiration to overcome life's biggest challenges, this is an episode you won't want to miss.

Bob Schober Believes Generosity Can Change Lives
2026/06/25
What if generosity could become contagious?
Millions of people have watched Bob Schober hand cash to complete strangers, pay rent for families facing eviction, surprise hardworking people with life-changing gifts, and inspire others to perform their own random acts of kindness. But behind every viral video is a man whose own life was transformed by redemption, faith, and second chances.
In this inspiring conversation, Jonathan Quick sits down with Bob to explore the journey that took him from addiction, homelessness, and living out of a Volkswagen to building and selling a roofing company for more than $50 million. Instead of chasing more success, Bob discovered a greater purpose: using his resources to restore hope, encourage generosity, and prove that one act of kindness can change the course of someone's life.
Together, they discuss the power of giving without expecting anything in return, why authentic kindness resonates with millions, how faith continues to guide Bob's mission, and why generosity has the power to create an unstoppable ripple effect that reaches far beyond the person receiving the gift.
This episode is a reminder that changing the world doesn't always require grand gestures. Sometimes it simply starts with seeing another person, extending a helping hand, and choosing kindness when no one expects it.
