Swedish artist Johan Egerkrans has brought Scandinavian folklore to popular attention with his incredible books on monsters like Vaesen, Norse Gods, and Dragons. The critically acclaimed horror RPG Vaesen is based on his work, and his art has inspired countless scary adventures. As one of the first authors to write fiction for Warhammer Nicola Griffith brought a unique voice to the Fantasy world. Her stories as part of the 1989 GW Books fiction line predate the Black Library by almost a decade, yet explore the setting with a literary curiosity and perspective that has rarely if ever been replicated. John Blanche's En Garde is a upcoming 54mm miniature duelling game based on concepts and ideas by legendary Warhammer artist John Blanche. Featuring rules designed by Mordheim and Trench Crusade writer Tuomas Pirinen and with a host of artistic talent behind the look, feel, and miniatures for the game this is shaping up to be a fascinating project. Concept artists and illustrator Rolf Mohr joined Games Workshop in the late 80s to illustrate amazing space ships and 40k backgrounds. During his time at GW Rolf worked on Space Fleet, Space Marine, White Dwarf and more. As well as illustrating science fiction book covers, later in his career Rolf worked on concept art for films, toys, and video games including Superman, Batman, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Before becoming editor at Black Library and Fighting Fantasy Marc Gascoigne worked for Games Workshop in a range of roles. Marc Gascoigne interview.
