124. How Doing Less Can Help You Grow Your Business
2026/09/30
When you’re building a business alongside motherhood, it’s easy to believe that doing more is the answer. More strategies, more content, more learning, more clients, more time spent trying to make everything work. But sometimes, trying to do too much is actually making it harder to create the results you want. In this episode, I share what I’ve learned about doing less in my own business, from stepping away from strategies that took more energy than they were worth to letting go of the pressure to create the perfect signature system. I’m not talking about stopping your efforts or hoping your business will magically grow. I’m talking about taking some of the pressure off, trusting yourself, and focusing on what actually moves you forward. You don’t have to make every action a home run. Sometimes, you just need to put the ball in play, keep showing up, and take the next step. 123. The Enoughness Problem: How to Stop Building Your Life From Lack
2026/09/23
We all have some area of our lives where we’re wondering if we have enough. Enough time, enough money, enough energy, enough support, or enough of something else. But constantly focusing on what’s missing can actually make it harder to create the life we want. In this episode, I explore what I call the enoughness problem and why it can follow us into every area of our lives, including entrepreneurship. I share stories from my own life and coaching, including a client who felt like she didn’t have enough time with her kids and my own experience of feeling like I wasn’t doing enough at home or wasn’t supported enough. I help you see how focusing on lack can affect the way you experience the life you already have. 122. Rediscover Your Voice: Speaking with Confidence and Connection with Alexina Atin Shaber
2026/09/16
You can have a great business strategy, an amazing offer, and a clear idea of who you want to help, but at some point, you have to be willing to talk about what you do and why it matters. For many of us, especially through the transition into motherhood and entrepreneurship, using our voice with confidence can feel much harder than it sounds. In this episode, I’m joined by my friend Alexina Atin Shaber, a communication coach who helps women rediscover and strengthen their voices. We talk about what it means to sound like yourself, how your voice can create connection, and why speaking from the heart can be so much more powerful than trying to sound polished or perfect. If you’ve been holding back from sharing what you really think, care about, or have to offer, I hope this conversation gives you a little more confidence to use your voice. 121. How to Set Boundaries Without Giving Away Your Power
2026/09/09
If you’ve ever set a boundary with your partner, your kids, or your family and then felt even more frustrated when they didn’t respect it, there’s a good chance what you set wasn’t actually a boundary. It was a rule. And understanding the difference can completely change the way you think about boundaries and your own sense of control. In this episode, I share a coaching conversation that helped one of my clients see her boundaries in a completely different way. You'll hear examples from marriage, parenting, and everyday life to show how this shift can help you feel more empowered instead of helpless, frustrated, or resentful. 120. Are You Accidentally Creating a Result You Don’t Want?
2026/09/02
When you really want something to go well, it’s easy to start worrying about all the ways it could go wrong. Maybe you want to feel closer to your child, succeed in a new role, have a better relationship, or grow your business. When you’re carrying a lot of worry and fear about the outcome, it can affect how you show up. Without realizing it, you can end up creating more of the very thing you were trying to avoid. In this episode, I walk you through three steps for interrupting this pattern when you notice it happening. I explain how the stories we tell ourselves create emotions, how those emotions influence our actions, and how those actions can move us toward or away from the results we actually want. You’ll learn how to separate a story from a fact, find the stories that already exist within you that serve you, and ask yourself how you want to show up in the moment. 119. Create a Rich Life on Your Own Terms
2026/08/26
What would make your life feel rich? Maybe it’s picking your kids up from school every day, taking a month off every summer, traveling with your family, or simply not opening your laptop after bedtime. Your version of a rich life doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. It’s about getting intentional about the things that bring you the most joy, connection, and freedom, and then figuring out how to create more of them. In this episode, I share the conversation my husband and I had six years ago that changed the way we thought about our time, money, and the life we wanted to create together. I discuss what a rich life actually means and invite you to think about your own unique, rich life. Because your business doesn’t have to be the destination. It can be the vehicle that gives you the flexibility, income, and freedom to create the life you actually want. Market Research Made Simple: How to Talk to Your Ideal Clients with Joanne Homestead
2026/08/19
When you’re starting something new, it’s easy to think you need to have your ideal client, offer, messaging, and business idea all figured out before you take action. But what if talking to people could actually help you figure those things out? In this episode, I’m talking with my friend, fellow mom entrepreneur, and founder of Desk Plant Creatives, Joanne Homestead, about market research and why it doesn’t have to be complicated or intimidating. We break down what market research conversations actually look like, who to talk to, what questions to ask, and what to listen for. How to Increase Your Capacity with Better Self-Talk
2026/08/12
As moms, we often assume overwhelm comes from having too much to do. But sometimes it’s actually about not having the capacity to hold everything that’s already on our plate. And while we often look for solutions like deleting tasks, asking for help, or creating better systems, there’s another piece we have much more control over: the way we talk to ourselves. In this episode, I share why self-talk matters so much, especially when we’re balancing motherhood, building a business, and trying to show up for all the people who need us. Listen in as I help you notice the conversations happening in your head and start shifting them into thoughts that build your capacity instead of drain it. It’s Always Working: How to Reduce Mental Drama and Build Your Business
2026/08/05
One of the biggest things that slows moms down in business usually isn’t a lack of strategy. It’s the mental drama that happens when we start worrying, second guessing ourselves, and deciding that what we’re doing isn’t working. When we believe we’re failing or falling behind, it can drain our energy, motivation, and confidence. In this episode, I share a mindset shift that has helped me and many of the moms I work with stop spiraling when things don’t go according to plan: it’s always working. This doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine or ignoring information. It means recognizing that we only see one small piece of what’s happening and choosing to believe that every experience is giving us information, moving us forward, or teaching us something we need to know. Friendships That Fuel Growth: How Moms Can Expand Their Circle
2026/07/29
If you’re trying something new, like starting a business outside your 9-5, not everyone around you will understand or get excited about your ambitions. Some friends might see your goals as risky, while others may steer the conversation back to familiar topics. If you can relate, it might be time to expand your circle to include people who understand, who think bigger, and who encourage you to succeed. In this episode, I share why cultivating a network of friends who focus on growth is so important for mom entrepreneurs. These are people who get excited about new ideas, take risks, and are actively building something themselves. I explore how the conversations you have over coffee, dinner, or even on the sidelines at a soccer game can influence your mindset, your creativity, and your motivation in ways you might not realize. Trusting Your Intuition & the Spirit of Your Business with Olivia Bowen
2026/07/22
So much of building a business comes down to strategy: the plan, the offer, the metrics. But sometimes you can have all of that figured out and still feel stuck, unsure why a certain part of your business feels harder than it should. If you’re open to getting a little woo-woo with me, this episode is going to give you a different way of looking at it. This week I'm joined by Olivia Bowen, a coach who blends strategy, intuition, energy work, and spirituality in a way that I was initially pretty skeptical of but came to really love. Olivia did a full energy reading on my business, walking through each chakra, or energy center, and sharing what she picked up on. We talk through what the spirit of my business is trying to tell me, how that actually translates to the day-to-day of running a business, and how you can tune into the spirit of your own business. When Life Doesn't Go According to Plan
2026/07/15
Life rarely goes according to plan. Maybe you set goals for yourself this year, like starting a business, growing your income, or creating healthier routines, and suddenly everything feels off track. Summer schedules, sick kids, unexpected obligations, and shifting priorities can throw us for a loop. Mom friends, if you are feeling frustrated, behind, or like your momentum is slipping, you're not alone. This week, I revisit one of my previous episodes originally about sick season, but the lessons apply to any situation where life throws you off course. I share practical mindset shifts and strategies to help you navigate the unexpected and regain a sense of control. What Coaching Actually Looks Like & What You Can Expect
2026/07/08
It's hard to imagine what coaching looks like when you've never experienced it before. What happens in a session? How long do you work with the coach? What kind of results will you see from coaching? Well, I answer these questions and more in this episode all about what coaching is and what you can expect from it. I talk through the process I use with my clients, including how I guide moms to identify the areas in their life and business that feel stuck, create clarity around priorities, and take practical steps toward their goals. You’ll hear how small, intentional actions in coaching sessions can help moms feel lighter, more focused, and capable of moving forward, even amidst the chaos of life and work. How Moms Can Shift Victim Mentality & Manage Mental Load with Zahra Premji
2026/07/01
Moms often carry an invisible weight: the mental load of managing family, work, and everything in between. This constant juggling can lead to feelings of overwhelm, frustration, and even victim mentality, making it hard to feel confident or move forward in your business and life. In this episode, I talk with life and mindset coach Zahra Premji about how moms can start to shift victim thinking and manage their mental load. We explore why moms often get stuck in overthinking and taking on too much responsibility at once, and how this pattern keeps you from taking aligned action. Zahra shares strategies for identifying the mental load, understanding where it comes from, and breaking the cycle so you can reclaim your energy, focus, and sense of control.
