121. The 4-Ad Strategy That Gets You Seen, Gets You Subscribers & Gets You Sales
2026/10/19
What if a handful of low-cost Meta ads could work together to get your business seen, grow your email list AND generate sales? 👀
In this week's episode of the Six Figure Systems Podcast, Chontelle shares a 4-ad strategy she's been testing and refining across her own ecommerce business and client accounts.
Rather than throwing money at sales ads and hoping for the best, this strategy creates an ecosystem that attracts new potential buyers, captures subscribers and gets your products back in front of the RIGHT people when they're more likely to buy.
And the best part? You don't need a huge ad budget to get started.
Chontelle breaks down how each of the four ads works and why they're so much more powerful when used together.

119. Are You Set Up for Sales Success? The Series Wrap-Up
2026/09/28
Over the last seven episodes, I've covered a lot. And I mean a lot.
This series has been one of my favourites to record - and the feedback from you has been incredible. But I also know that seven episodes across seven weeks is a lot to work through, and I want to make sure nothing gets lost in the mix.
So today, I'm bringing it all together. One episode. Seven summaries. Everything you need to know before we close out this series.
And before we get into it - I want to be really clear about something. You do not need to nail every single one of these stepping stones to be successful. That is not what this series has been about.
But if something I share today lands and you think, "Yeah, that's my gap" - fixing it or focusing on it is 100% going to help, not hinder, the growth of your business.
In This Episode, I Cover:
Part 1 — Eyes on the Prize (Episode 112) The three fundamentals you need before anything else: a visibility strategy you can measure, knowing your numbers (traffic, conversion rate, and average order value), and a consistent way to get traffic to your website. If you can't tell me how many new eyeballs saw your brand yesterday - this is your starting point.
Part 2 — Copy That Converts (Episode 113) What actually happens when traffic lands on your website. Your product descriptions need to solve a problem or fulfil a desire - not just list features. Plus: how trust signals and reviews directly impact your conversion rate, and why your imagery needs to do the job of a shop floor.
Part 3 — Reduce Purchase Friction (Episode 114) Every extra click is a barrier. I walk through website navigation, how to front-foot your customers' objections and assumptions, the drop-off benchmarks you should be measuring (5% add to cart, 20–30% reach checkout, ~50% complete purchase), and a checklist for your checkout experience on mobile.
Part 4 — Never Miss a Sale (Episode 115) People need five to eight touch points before they buy. Most brands manage one or two. This is why email is non-negotiable - and why skeleton flows are quietly costing you sales every single day. If email isn't contributing 30% of your online revenue, I share the two reasons why and what to do about it.
Part 5 — The X Factor (Episode 116) Optional - but powerful. Being the face of your brand, showing up authentically (the good, the bad, and the ugly), and doing the unexpected things that build genuine connection and loyalty. You don't need to be on social media 24/7. You just need to find the things others aren't willing to do - and do them.
Part 6 — Is Your Focus Costing You Your Profit? (Episode 117) The business owners succeeding today are making the most profit, not the most sales. I talk about your returning customer rate (aim for around 30%), why your previous purchasers are your hottest prospects, and how to create a post-purchase experience that turns a one-time buyer into a loyal fan. Plus: the VIP email strategy that returns $700–$1,000 every quarter for one of my clients.
Part 7 — The 1% That Changes Everything (Episode 118) Scaling is not about doing more. It's about mastering what's already in front of you. I share real examples of how small improvements to your open rate, cost per click, conversion rate, and average order value can compound into significant revenue growth - without changing your strategy or spending more.

Your Action Step From This Episode
Don't try to implement everything. Pick one area - the one that made you stop and think, "That's me" - and go deep on it.
Get clear on how you're going to measure your progress. Make one intentional improvement. See what the data tells you. And then move to the next one.
Skimming the surface of every strategy means you're mastering none of them. And that doesn't equate to progress. Going deep on one thing does.

118. Are You Set Up for Sales Success - Part 7: The 1% That Changes Everything
2026/09/24
Episode Summary
Wrapping up the Are You Set Up For Sales Success series with the one thing most ecommerce business owners aren't consciously doing - and it has nothing to do with finding a new strategy.
In this episode, Chontelle dives into the power of tiny, intentional improvements and why making things 1% better beats chasing the next shiny thing every single time. If you've been hustling hard and still feel stuck, this one's for you.
What You'll Learn in This Episode
Why doing more is not the answer - and what to focus on instead
The three metrics that matter for every ecommerce business (traffic, conversion rate, and average order value)
A real-world example showing how improving your email open rate from 20% to 28% creates 2,400 extra touch points per month - without adding a single new subscriber
How reducing your Meta ads cost per click from $1.50 to $1 delivers 333 more website visitors on the same budget
How to go from $5K to $15K a month by positively influencing three numbers
Why strategy-hopping is keeping you stuck (and what to do instead)
The question to ask yourself about every task on your to-do list
Key Takeaways
You don't need a new strategy. You need to master the one you already have.
Every business needs three things: a way to get seen, a way to get people to your website, and a way to activate them to buy. Once you've locked those in, the work is to make each step work harder - not to start over.
Small improvements compound. A 1% gain across your traffic, your conversion rate, and your average order value don't add together. They multiply.
The Three Metrics That Matter
Traffic - how many people are landing on your website
Conversion rate - what percentage of those visitors are buying
Average order value - how much each buyer is spending

117. Are You Set Up for Sales Success - Part 6: Is Your Focus Costing You Your Profit?
2026/09/17
You're working hard to get new customers, but are you forgetting about the ones who've already bought?
In part six of this series, Chontelle gets into one of the most overlooked profit leaks in product-based businesses: chasing new customers while ignoring the ones who are already warm, already converted, and already ready to buy again.
Here's the truth: it costs you very little to get a second, third, or fourth purchase from someone who's already bought. Every subsequent sale after that first one is additional profit in your back pocket. Yet most e-commerce business owners keep pouring energy into acquisition while ghosting the people who've already said yes.
In this episode, Chontelle covers:
Why your previous purchasers are your most profitable audience and what you're losing by treating them like everyone else
The returning customer rate benchmark you should be tracking (and what it tells you about where to focus)
What a VIP post-purchase experience actually looks like and why it doesn't have to cost you anything
A real client strategy from Chontelle's agency that generates $700–$1,000 AUD every time it runs
The small, unexpected gestures that build loyalty and turn one-time buyers into repeat customers
Plus, Chontelle shares a beautiful listener win that came through her DMs at 10 PM, and why it perfectly illustrates what she means when she says action takers are money makers.
Your mission this week: Look up your returning customer rate in Shopify. If it's under 30%, this episode is for you.

2026/09/10
Summary
In part five of the Are You Set Up For Sales Success? series, Chontelle Fossey explores the one strategy that's completely optional — but can completely change your business if you lean into it. This episode is all about the X-Factor: showing up as the face of your brand, doing the unexpected, and building the kind of genuine connection that turns followers into loyal customers. Key Takeaways
Being the face of your brand still works — it just has to be authentic, not polished
Curated Canva content is losing ground to raw, real, and human content

Summary

This episode is a practical audit of everything standing between a potential buyer and a completed purchase, from confusing website navigation to unanswered objections to drop-offs at cart and checkout. If you are paying for traffic or working hard to get people to your website, this episode will help you make sure that traffic is actually converting.

113. Are You Set Up for Sales Success Series - Part 2: Copy That Converts
2026/08/20
Summary
In part two of the Are You Set Up for Sales Success series, Chontelle Fossey breaks down why most product descriptions fall flat, and what to change if your website conversion rate isn't hitting 3%. She walks through the difference between listing features and speaking to the real reason people buy, covering product copy, trust signals, and imagery. If people are landing on your website but not converting, this episode gives you a clear, practical checklist to start fixing it today.
Key Takeaways
Features explain what a product is; benefits explain why it matters
Every product either solves a problem or fulfills a desire, or both
Trust signals reduce perceived risk and lift conversion rates without a website redesign
More product imagery is almost always better than less
Value has to be clear before the price, especially for premium products
What You'll Learn
How to rewrite product descriptions to speak to problems and desires, not just features
Why knowing your customer intimately is the foundation of converting copy
How to use trust signals, reviews, and guarantees to reduce risk for first-time buyers
What types of product imagery actually help visitors feel confident enough to buy
How to make value clear before the price so price stops being the objection
Where to start: best sellers first, not every product at once

112. Are You Set Up for Sales Success Series - Part 1: Eyes on the Prize
2026/08/10
In part one of the Are You Set Up for Sales Success? series, Chontelle Fossey cuts through the noise of the e-commerce space and shares what actually moves the needle. This episode covers three foundational stepping stones that most founders are missing, and why fixing even one of them can make a significant difference to the predictability of their sales.
Key Takeaways
Posting without a strategy is not a visibility plan
E-commerce growth is a formula - traffic, conversion rate, and average order value
You can't improve what you don't measure
Returning website visitors convert at a higher rate than new ones
Working smarter means doubling down on what works, not trying everything at once

111. Before You Spend Another Dollar on Your Ecommerce Business, Listen to This
2026/08/03
In this episode, Chontelle Fossey challenges ecommerce founders to rethink how they're spending money in their business. Using a simple three-category framework, she breaks down the difference between expenses that make your business look better and investments that actually drive growth. If your business feels stuck despite consistent spending, this episode will help you figure out exactly where to focus next.
Key takeaways
Not everything you spend money on is an investment - some things are just expenses
Every business investment should help people find you, help people buy from you, or help you grow faster
Technology amplifies action - it doesn't create growth on its own
More traffic into a funnel that isn't converting is just an expensive leak
The biggest breakthrough often comes from redirecting what you're already spending, not adding something new
What you'll learn
The three investment categories every ecommerce founder needs to understand
Why beautiful branding and a great product mean nothing without visibility
How to identify which category your business is currently neglecting
Why email marketing sits at the intersection of conversion and free return traffic
The practical audit to run on every subscription and tool you're currently paying for
How to ask a smarter question than "what should I spend money on next?"

110. The One Thing Nobody in Ecommerce Talks About
2026/07/29
If consistent sales feel hard right now, there's probably one piece missing, and it isn't your email platform or your website navigation. In this episode Chontelle explains why she thinks customer acquisition is the only real bottleneck in most product businesses, and why the brands growing month after month aren't doing more, they've just built a reliable way to introduce themselves to new people every day. She also shares the returning customer rate she once celebrated, and what happened a month later.
In this episode:
Why coaches obsess over client acquisition and ecommerce barely mentions it
Why retention without acquisition eventually becomes exhaustion
The two jobs a customer acquisition system has to do, and why it must be measurable
The leaky bucket versus the reservoir, and why your email list is the only container that holds
The one number to check tomorrow morning instead of your sales

109. $5 a Day to Future Proof Your Business
2026/07/19
If you're spending money on ads trying to make sales today, but not investing in building an audience you can sell to tomorrow - this episode is the mindset shift you need. Chontelle breaks down why a low-cost list growth campaign might be the most powerful thing in your marketing toolkit, and why she wishes she'd started one from day one of her ecom business.
Key takeaways:
Why most ecom businesses are "renting" their audience - and what to do instead
How to think about your email list as a traffic tap you control
The snowball effect: why tiny lists that compound become your most valuable business asset
Why giving up on email marketing too soon is the most common (and costly) mistake
How $5/day in list growth ads can fast-track the results that organic growth takes years to build

108. The Three Doors Between Your Ad and the Sale
2026/07/12
Chontelle Fossey explains why there was no episode last week, and what she built instead. Using early access to a new AI model, she built four tools for her Seen. Clicked. Sold.™ students, designed to diagnose exactly where their ads and pages are losing sales. This episode breaks down the belief shift behind that work: predictable sales don't come from predictable traffic alone, they come from predictable traffic moving through a journey that's actually built to convert it.
Key Takeaways
More traffic into a broken journey means paying more to leak more
There are three doors between an ad and a sale: seen, clicked, sold
Most founders blame traffic when the real leak is further down the chain
Guessing where sales are breaking down is expensive, diagnosing is cheap
Testing new tools fast and properly is now part of the head of marketing role
What You'll Learn
Why Chontelle skipped an episode to build tools for her students instead
The three doors customers pass through before becoming a sale
How to tell whether your ad, your traffic, or your page is the actual problem
A real example of a student who blamed traffic when the page was the issue
Three concrete diagnostic steps to run on your own account this week
Why predictable sales require an optimised journey, not just more eyes

107. Get Seen, Get Traffic, Get Sales: The Three Jobs You're Missing
2026/07/02
Summary
Most ecommerce founders believe that if they just post consistently, sales will follow. In this episode, Chontelle breaks down why that belief is holding businesses back, and what's really required to turn visibility into revenue. She walks through the full customer journey, why organic reach alone can't carry a business anymore, and the ROAS mistake that's quietly costing founders money without them even realising it.
Key Takeaways
Getting seen is only one of three jobs, not the whole job
The customer journey has six steps, not two
Organic reach rewards entertaining content, not necessarily converting content
Break even ROAS is different for every business, and most founders don't know theirs
Ads aren't always the problem. The drop off point usually is
What They'll Learn
Why the "post and hope" approach stopped working
The real customer journey between seeing a brand and buying from it
How to calculate break even ROAS and why it matters more than the headline number
The three benchmarks to check before blaming an ad campaign
Why the founders who look like they're "crushing it" are usually paying for it
How ads and email work together to stop revenue leaking out of the funnel
