(🇬🇧) BEST-OF S3.N°3 : Sandrine Conseiller – The Power of the World’s Largest Diamond House
2026/10/14
🇬🇧 In this new Best-Of of Podcast du Luxe, I share the conversation I had with Sandrine Conseiller, CEO of De Beers Brands, condensed into its strongest moments. 🎯 After nearly twenty years at Unilever, where she took over Sunsilk, a struggling billion-euro brand nobody wanted, Sandrine Conseiller led the transformations of Lacoste and then Aigle. At the end of 2023, De Beers came looking for her directly, with a clear mandate: to reawaken the brands of a house that has shaped how the world desires diamonds since 1888. She shares a clear-eyed view of both her field and her role. For her, a natural diamond is a three-billion-year-old stone from a finite resource, something no laboratory can reproduce. As for transformation, it is hard because the business has to keep running while it changes, and its real impact only shows after four to five years. We also go into her method. Listening to clients before changing anything, rebuilding the executive committee for each new mandate, and that rare ability to adapt to her team rather than asking the team to adapt to her. 🔍 In this episode:⚫ Africa and the economic role of De Beers, from exploration to creation⚫ Traceability from the mine to the window, and what it changes for a client⚫ How to realign a heritage brand, and what it does to the P&L⚫ The loneliness of a CEO taking over, and why change takes years to show⚫ The gap between how much people dream of diamonds and what they actually buy⚫ Why, in her view, natural and lab-grown diamonds have nothing in common A powerful episode that puts rarity, transformation and human leadership back at the heart of contemporary luxury. ▶️ All listening links: https://tr.ee/h2cRFI-pYj📲 Find us on Instagram and LinkedIn⭐ If you enjoyed the episode, rate it, leave a comment and share it #PodcastDuLuxe #SandrineConseiller #DeBeers #Diamonds #FineJewellery #NaturalDiamonds #Transformation #Leadership #LuxuryStrategy #LuxuryIndustry #BestOf
2026/10/07
🇬🇧🎧 This week on the Podcast du Luxe, I welcome Sandrine Conseiller, CEO of De Beers Brands. After nearly twenty years at Unilever, where she took over Sunsilk, a struggling billion-euro brand nobody wanted, she moved to Lacoste, where EBITDA tripled and the brand became cool again, then became CEO of Aigle. In late 2023, De Beers came looking for her directly. Her mission is to reawaken the brands of the only diamond company covering the entire chain, from exploration to creation. That includes the new De Beers London boutique on rue de la Paix, the launch of Origin in the US, and traceability of every stone back to its country and mine. Today, she leads De Beers London, Forevermark and Origin, and runs a team of CEOs for the first time. 🔍 In this episode:⚫ Africa and the economic role of De Beers, from the exploration to the creation⚫ How to realign a heritage brand, and what it does to the P&L⚫ The loneliness of a CEO taking over, and why change takes years to show⚫ Why natural and lab-grown diamonds have nothing in common ▶️ Subscribe: https://linktr.ee/loudana📲 Instagram: @podcastduluxe | LinkedIn: Podcast du Luxe⭐ Rate, comment, save and share the episode! 🇫🇷FR 🎧 Cette semaine sur le Podcast du Luxe, je reçois Sandrine Conseiller, CEO de De Beers Brands. (🇬🇧) BEST-OF S3.N°2: Tracy Cohen Sayag – Anticipating the next luxury boom: aesthetic medicine
2026/09/23
🇬🇧 In this new Best-Of episode of Podcast du Luxe, discover the vision of a leader who brought aesthetic medicine into the codes of accessible luxury.🎯 After studying finance and working at Rothschild, Tracy Cohen Sayag joined her father's clinic, Clinique des Champs-Élysées, at 23, right as it was going through a difficult period. She quickly built a clear conviction: make aesthetic medicine accessible to everyone, without ever cutting corners on medical rigor.Throughout this conversation, she shares a sharp take on luxury: rejecting the idea that price alone defines access to quality care, making the presence of a doctor a non-negotiable rule rather than a marketing argument, and democratizing without ever diluting the standard. We go back over the foundations of her model: the strategic pivot from surgery to aesthetic medicine, building a network of 21 clinics across France and internationally, her vision of data as a medical tool, and her rare conviction that accessibility matters more than exclusivity. An inspiring episode that puts accessibility, rigor and longevity at the heart of contemporary luxury.🎧 Don't miss this Best-Of! (🇫🇷) Best-OF S3 N°2 :Tracy Cohen Sayag- Anticiper le prochain boom du luxe: medicine esthétique
2026/09/23
🇬🇧EN 🎧 This week on Le Podcast du Luxe, I welcome Tracy Cohen Sayag, CEO of Clinique des Champs-Élysées. (🇬🇧) BEST-OF S3 N°1 : Jean & Adrien Cassegrain – Four Generations at the Helm of a Major French Retail Empire
2026/09/09
In this new Best-Of episode of Podcast du Luxe, discover the perspective of Jean and Adrien Cassegrain, who chose to transform a family house without ever betraying its identity. 🎯 Founded in Paris in 1948, Longchamp grew from around forty employees to several thousand worldwide, until Adrien joined the family business in 2020, in the middle of lockdown, with a clear conviction: keep a legacy alive without ever freezing it in place. Throughout this conversation, they share a reflection on what it means to pass down a house: refusing pure marketing logic , reducing to better assert what matters, and treating responsibility as something inherited rather than imposed. We look back at the foundations of that transmission: the birth of Le Pliage in 1993 and its early logic of eco-design, a one-third reduction of the leather goods assortment during Covid, the move into ready-to-wear, the new artistic direction led by Sophie Cassegrain, and the house's B Corp label, which Adrien describes as "a little difficult to get". A powerful episode that puts transmission, discretion, and family consistency at the heart of contemporary luxury. 🎧 Don't miss this Best-Of!
He grew up in this world before naturally joining the family business, which he now leads alongside his sister Sophie, in charge of creative direction. His son Adrien took a very different path. An engineering graduate, he began his career in insurance before joining Longchamp in 2020, right in the middle of the first lockdown. Adrien first took charge of a transformation plan, before adding CSR to his role, with a clear mission, that of bringing a century-old family house up to new standards, culminating this year in earning the B Corp label. (EN)S2 EP.14 François-Paul Journe, Founder of F.P. Journe: The Discipline of Independence
2026/08/17
🎬 In this episode, now out in English, I'm joined by François-Paul Journe, founder of F.P. Journe, one of the most respected names in independent watchmaking. Nothing about his path was conventional. A poor student, kicked out of nearly every school he attended, he learned his craft by restoring antique watches, developing an intimate understanding of mechanics long before he ever designed a piece of his own. His first watch took five years to complete, but it left him with a clear conviction: follow his own vision, without compromise. In 1999, he founded his own House with a radical approach: produce little, control everything, and never waver on precision. 🔥 A rare, unfiltered conversation on creation, independence, and what it really means to build a House while staying true to yourself. What you'll discover in this episode: 🔧 From repairing other people's watches to building his own: how years spent restoring antique pieces shaped his entire approach to mechanics. ⏳ The five years behind his first watch: and the conviction that time, not speed, is what makes a watch worth making. 🏛️ Founding F.P. Journe in 1999: producing little, controlling everything, with no compromise on precision. 🤝 Rarity and client relationships: his refusal of market-driven marketing, and how he manages desirability without chasing volume. ▶️ Listen to the full episode in English, out today on all platforms. 🔔 Subscribe so you don't miss what's next, and follow me on Instagram & LinkedIn: https://linktr.ee/loudana ⭐ Did you enjoy this episode? (EN)N°5 - Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot: How do you earn legitimacy while shaking up an entire industry?
2026/08/12
🎬 In this episode, now out in English, I'm joined by Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, the Swiss watchmaking House known for turning disruption into an art form. Julien's path here wasn't obvious: a competitive water skier from Geneva, he started in sales at Raymond Weil before spending 17 years at Vacheron Constantin, running Europe, the US, and eventually all of Asia from Hong Kong. He went on to revive Zenith as CEO, and now leads Hublot, a House barely 45 years old that built a global following without a single century of heritage to lean on. 🔥 A candid conversation on what it takes to build a cult brand by refusing to play by the old rules of luxury. What you'll discover in this episode: ⚙️ A House built on audacity, not heritage: how Hublot, founded by Carlo Crocco in 1980, became the first to fuse gold and rubber, and turned that boldness into its entire identity. 🏆 Disruptive marketing, real watchmaking: behind the sports partnerships (Djokovic, Bolt, Mbappé) sits genuine in-house engineering, with movements like the Unico built entirely in Switzerland. 🤝 The Hublotistas: how Hublot turns clients into a community through experiences designed to build real, lasting relationships. 🏭 A new Manufacture in Nyon: a glimpse behind the scenes of what's coming next for the House. ▶️ Listen to the full episode in English, out today on all platforms. 🔔 Subscribe so you don't miss what's next, and follow me on Instagram & LinkedIn: https://linktr.ee/loudana ⭐ Did you enjoy this episode? (EN) S1 EP.11 Jean-Baptiste Sassine, CEO of Messika: A Modern Vision for Luxury Jewelry
2026/08/05
🎬 In this episode — now out in English — I'm joined by Jean-Baptiste Sassine, CEO of Messika, the French jewelry Maison founded alongside Valérie Messika.Jean-Baptiste's story is rooted in family expertise: his connection to André Messika, one of France's most respected diamond dealers, laid the foundation for what would become one of the most disruptive names in contemporary jewelry. From "3 or 4 people around a small table" in André Messika's office to a House now present in over 65 countries, he built Messika through disciplined, organic growth — without ever raising major outside funding. In this conversation, he looks back on the creation of the Move, originally called "La Cage," which grew into a signature sometimes more recognizable than the Messika name itself, and on what it takes to keep a legacy house feeling disruptive decades in.🔥 A candid, wide-ranging conversation that I hope teaches you as much as it taught me.What you'll discover in this episode:💎 André Messika's legacy: the story of one of France's leading diamond dealers, and the family expertise Messika was built on🔗 The birth of the Move: how "La Cage" became one of jewelry's most iconic signatures worldwide🌍 Global expansion without external funding: growing to 65+ countries through disciplined, organic growth⚡ Staying "Disruptive Diamond": the mindset behind Messika's constant reinvention▶️ Listen to the full episode in English, out today on all platforms.🔔 Subscribe so you don't miss what's next, and follow me on Instagram & LinkedIn: https://linktr.ee/loudana⭐ Did you enjoy this episode? (EN) N°1 - Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of LVMH Watches & Bvlgari Group: The Story of Bvlgari and TAG Heuer
2026/08/03
🎬 In this episode, now out in English, I'm joined by Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari for over a decade and now head of LVMH's Watches division, overseeing Houses like TAG Heuer, Hublot, and Zenith alongside Bvlgari. Jean-Christophe's path into luxury is anything but conventional: from HEC Paris and the French Navy, to Procter & Gamble and The Boston Consulting Group, before landing at TAG Heuer and later Bvlgari. In this conversation, he opens up about rebuilding brands from the ground up, the discipline behind reviving heritage without falling into nostalgia, and what it really takes to lead an entire watchmaking division for one of the world's largest luxury groups. 🔥 A candid, wide-ranging conversation that I hope teaches you as much as it taught me. What you'll discover in this episode: 🏭 The history of the Manufacture de Neuchâtel: once famous for its railway clocks, now the beating heart of Bvlgari's watchmaking, and a place where his own family's history quietly echoes. 🏛️ Roman architecture and watch design: how the lines and volumes of ancient Rome shape every new Bvlgari timepiece, including the record-breaking Octo Finissimo. 👑 Women and the evolving luxury market: how the rise of women in professional roles has reshaped luxury spending, and why that shift has been a growth engine for Bvlgari. ⚙️ Heritage meets innovation: how a century-old house stays alive through cutting-edge technology and constant creative reinvention. ▶️ Listen to the full episode in English, out today on all platforms. 🔔 Subscribe so you don't miss what's next, and follow me on Instagram & LinkedIn: https://linktr.ee/loudana ⭐ Did you enjoy this episode? Gemmyo is a rare diamond. The first jewelry house to launch entirely online, built on one clear promise: personalization.
