Send us Fan Mail We discuss the cooling down of fall.  We talk about how it can be comfy and cozy but also how people can get lazy in their relationship and become apathetic or complacent.  Regardless of the season you're in, it might overlap....it might seem that it will never end. Read Ecclesiastes 3:1-8; Psalm 104:19 God allows seasons for purposes.  Instead of saying, "Why me or why this; ask what should I learn from this.  Each season gives an opportunity for growth. Talk time challenge: Question 1:  If you could go anywhere in the world all expenses paid, where would you go?  Answer this and allow your spouse to do the same and talk about it.  Share your dreams, hopes, fantasies. Question 2:  What's one bucket list items that you'd like to accomplish that might surprise your spouse?  Is there something on your list that you've never shared? Some examples might be extreme like parasailing, hang gliding, zip lining, rock climbing, scuba diving, bungee jumping, skydiving,  OR It could be as simple as visiting Australia, sailing to Alaska, flying to Hawaii or retiring early.  Have a dream session.  Sharing our hearts and ideas has a way of bonding us. Send us Fan Mail Today, we look at Genesis 2:2.  God GIVES us a gift of rest.  He didn't create all of Creation and rest because He was tired.  He did it as an example to us.  He set aside and sanctified the seventh day.  Sanctified means set apart.  We have to set apart time or we might have a come apart time.   This is a time to recharge our batteries, reconnect with God and our spouse.  We can work on hobbies, read a book, start a new series, garden, try a new restaurant, take a drive or just get out and enjoy God's creation.  Whatever you do....enjoy it and let it be different from your regular routine.  Jesus tells us in Mark 2:27 that the man was not made for Sabbath but Sabbath for the man.  It's truly a gift.  It doesn't have to be rigid but it does take some planning.  Tune in as we discuss it.
