Ep 109: God Is Still in the Story: Jevonne & Michaelle Branch on Faith, Marriage & Restoration
2026/10/02
Jevonne and Michaelle Branch know what it means to experience both darkness and light. Their story includes difficult childhoods, divorce, illness, depression, betrayal, a struggling marriage, and moments when they weren't sure what would happen next. But through it all, they discovered a truth that now anchors their family: God is still in the story. Michaelle's faith journey began when she was 12 years old, during a difficult season when her parents were divorcing. Her mother encountered missionaries and joined the Church, and Michaelle began learning about the gospel. At first, she leaned on her mother's testimony. Eventually, she developed her own. Jevonne's path to faith was much more complicated. Taken from his parents at four, he spent years moving through foster homes and experiencing abuse, neglect, and abandonment. By his teenage years, he was angry and couldn't understand why God would allow so much pain. His journey toward God began through friendship and small experiences that challenged what he thought he knew. Then came Michaelle. Their relationship itself became one of the ways they recognized God's hand. They were very different people who likely would never have pursued one another if circumstances hadn't brought them together. Friendship allowed Michaelle to see the tender person underneath Jevonne's hardened exterior. But their marriage eventually entered an incredibly difficult season. After Jevonne became seriously ill, his health struggles affected his identity and self-worth. He spiraled into depression and made choices that deeply wounded their marriage. Michaelle found herself becoming his caretaker, advocate, and spiritual support. During that season, she created a prayer closet in their home and spent significant time there seeking God's direction. When she was considering leaving, she prayed for an answer. She felt prompted to stay and work toward restoration. But eventually, Jevonne had to make his own choice. At one of his lowest points, he asked: “What do I have to lose to do it Your way?” That question became a turning point. With the support of his bishop, Jevonne began the difficult process of repentance, making amends, and rebuilding what had been damaged. But perhaps the deepest healing was learning to believe that he was worthy of being loved. Today, Jevonne and Michaelle are parents, grandparents, and a blended family of five children. They continue to navigate the everyday realities of raising two daughters on the autism spectrum while supporting their older children and grandchildren. Their story isn't about pretending the hard things didn't happen. It's about what they discovered on the other side of them. God's love is still there. God can meet us in our brokenness. And sometimes, restoration begins with nothing more complicated than turning toward Him and saying: “I need You.” They have seen enough darkness to recognize the light. And their message is one they now share with others: God is still in the story. Listen to Jevonne and Michaelle's full conversation, and consider your own story: Where have you seen God working in a chapter you didn't understand at the time? Ep 108: Chasing Peace Behind the Wheel with Amanda Sorensen
2026/09/25
Amanda Sorensen knows what it feels like to perform under pressure. As a 23-year-old Formula Drift driver and the first female driver to earn a podium finish in the series, she has learned to control her nerves, focus her energy, and prepare relentlessly. But there's another kind of preparation she relies on every time she gets behind the wheel: prayer. Amanda grew up surrounded by racing. From BMX bikes to kart racing to becoming a championship-winning young driver, the racetrack has been a central part of her life. Today, racing is not only her career—it has become a family career, with her entire family continuing to work together in the sport. Her faith has been woven into that journey as well. Growing up, Amanda was homeschooled, attended Young Women activities despite her family's constant travel, and found friends who became important anchors in both her faith and her life. But traveling with a racing crew when she was younger challenged her beliefs and caused her to seriously reflect on what she believed, why she believed it, and what her purpose was. One of the experiences that stayed with her happened in Brazil, when she lost her phone in chest-deep water. Remembering a childhood friend who would turn to the Lord whenever there was a problem, Amanda decided to pray. Then a friend surfaced from the water holding her phone. It was a simple experience, but Amanda says it opened her eyes to something profound: Heavenly Father was aware of her. That awareness has continued to shape the way she races. Before getting behind the wheel, Amanda prays. She faces tremendous pressure and nerves as a woman competing in a male-dominated sport, and prayer helps her find comfort and strength. She also remembers a frightening moment when she was younger and the brakes failed on her car. She prayed for help to stop and was able to reach a safe place. That experience became another reminder that her prayers could be answered. Today, Amanda says she can recognize the difference between having God's hand in her life and trying to navigate without it. Her faith gives her a moral foundation. Her preparation gives her confidence. And through it all, she says she is chasing peace. Her story is a powerful reminder that recognizing God's hand doesn't always mean waiting for a dramatic miracle. Sometimes it means noticing the small moments, remembering the people who taught us to turn to God, and developing a relationship with Him strong enough to carry us through the pressure. Listen to Amanda's story and then ask yourself: Where have I seen evidence that God is aware of me? Sometimes the smallest moments become the ones that strengthen our faith the most. Ep 107: When Life Doesn't Go According to Plan with Arantza Condie
2026/09/18
When everything you've planned for your life starts falling apart, where do you turn? Arantza Condie grew up Catholic and always had a quiet sense that God was real and that He saw her. But as life became more complicated, that faith became something she needed to discover for herself. Becoming a mother awakened a deeper need for God. Then, during one of the darkest seasons of her life, Arantza realized she couldn't keep trying to carry everything on her own. She began investigating The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and one unexpected moment with her young son helped her understand something she had been searching for: the eternal nature of families. Her conversion journey ultimately led her to baptism—even though her husband wasn't a believer and was an ex-Mormon himself. Today, Arantza and her husband navigate an interfaith marriage with open communication and a shared commitment to their children. Her story is a beautiful reminder that faith doesn't always arrive in one dramatic moment. Sometimes it grows through a series of promptings, questions, relationships, and small moments where God reminds us that He is there. And perhaps most importantly, Arantza reminds us that if we don't intentionally look for God's hand in our lives, our struggles can become so loud that they swallow up the good around us. Follow Arantza's in her journey on Instagram @arantza_condie. Listen to Arantza's full story, then take a few minutes to think about your own. Where have you seen God's hand in your life—even in circumstances that didn't turn out the way you expected? If this conversation encouraged you, follow the podcast and share it with someone who may need a reminder to look for God in the middle of their own story. #HandOfGod #FaithJourney #ConversionStory #ChristianPodcast #LDSFaith #ComeUntoChrist #TrustGod #FaithInJesusChrist #GodIsWithUs #RecognizeHisHand
Ep 106: The Detours That Led Him to God with Tyrone Foster
2026/09/11
What if the moments you thought were mistakes, setbacks, or disappointments were actually guiding you toward something greater? In this episode, Tyrone Foster shares a remarkable journey of loss, faith, unexpected connections, and learning to recognize God's hand in his life. Tyrone lost his father while serving aboard the USS Stark when Tyrone was just five years old. As he grew up, he carried questions, anger, and a desire to understand the purpose behind the experiences that had shaped him. From discovering his father's hopes for his family to meeting mentors who encouraged him to seek God, Tyrone's life was filled with moments that slowly pointed him toward faith. But one of the biggest turning points came through what initially felt like failure. A college setback forced Tyrone to change his plans—and ultimately led him to a roommate named Vernon, the same name as his father. Through that relationship and a series of seemingly ordinary encounters, Tyrone began discovering a God who was aware of him and guiding him. This is a conversation about looking back, connecting the dots, finding purpose in painful experiences, and developing gratitude for a loving God who may be working in our lives long before we recognize His hand. If this episode touched you, please follow or subscribe to the podcast and share it with someone who may be going through a season of uncertainty. Ep 105: When You Run to Jesus, He Can Make Something Out of Nothing | Conlon Bonner
2026/09/04
What do you do when the thing you prayed would never happen becomes your reality? For Conlon Bonner, losing his baby son Joshua changed everything—but it also deepened his determination to run to Jesus Christ. Conlon Bonner is a performer, singer, father, and member of the Bonner Family. But behind the music and performances is a father who has walked through profound grief. When Conlon and his wife lost their 9-month-old son, Joshua, to SIDS, there was no easy explanation and no way to make the pain disappear. Conlon says the only way their family made it through was to **“run to Jesus Christ.”** Then, in the middle of that grief, a song he was scheduled to sing suddenly carried an entirely different meaning. The words, “I know that Your plan is perfect, and every step toward You is worth it,” became part of his healing. And then came another leap of faith. When Conlon prayed about pursuing Broadway, the answer was simply, “Go for it.” Within hours, doors began opening—an audition, a delayed flight, an Equity card, connections with agencies—and eventually a role in MJ the Musical Australia. His sons even auditioned and joined him. Conlon doesn't see these moments as coincidence. He sees the hand of God in the middle of both the heartbreak and the miracles. Listen to Conlon's full story and hear why he believes God can “make something out of nothing.” Then share this episode with someone who needs a little more faith, peace, or hope today. #SeeingTheHandOfGod #ConlanBonner #FaithInJesusChrist #TrustInGod #FaithThroughHardThings #GodIsWithUs #Miracles #HopeInChrist #HealingThroughFaith #JesusChrist
Ep 104: Julie Branton — Finding God in Grief, Loss, and New Beginnings
2026/08/28
At 22 years old, Julie Branton lost her infant daughter—and had to figure out how to keep living when the life she knew had completely changed. Julie Branton's story is one of grief, resilience, motherhood, faith, and unexpected new beginnings. Growing up in Calgary, Julie developed a strong relationship with God and says she has experienced moments where she has felt the presence of angels, including her grandmother. But her faith was tested in ways she could never have imagined. After a short-lived marriage ended, Julie became a single mother to her daughter, Ayla. She remembers feeling God's reassurance during that difficult transition: “I've got this.” Then, when Ayla was only four months old, she became seriously ill. Despite initially being told it was likely a cold or flu, Julie's intuition told her something much more serious was happening. Eventually, doctors discovered that Ayla had bacterial meningitis and had suffered severe neurological damage. After weeks in the hospital, Julie and Ayla's father made the devastating decision to remove her from life support. Julie spent her final night holding her daughter. In the middle of that unimaginable grief, Julie felt the presence of her grandmother and knew she had come to take Ayla home. But God didn't remove Julie's grief. Instead, He helped her find a way to carry it. A year later, Julie began Ayla's Stocking, giving Christmas gifts to children in need in her daughter's name. That small act of love became an annual tradition and a beautiful legacy. Julie eventually remarried, welcomed another child, and found peace in relationships she once thought could never be healed. Her story reminds us that God can bring light into places we never imagined could be anything but dark. Listen to Julie's full interview and hear how she found faith, peace, and purpose after devastating loss. Ep 103: Beth Martineau: Cutting the Noise So You Can Hear God’s Voice
2026/08/21
What if the reason you're struggling to hear God isn't that He's quiet—but that your life is too noisy? Beth Martineau, founder of Salt & Hart, has spent years learning how to simplify her faith and make room for what matters most: Jesus Christ, family, relationships, and the quiet promptings of the Spirit. After becoming a mother, Beth realized she needed more than a faith she had inherited. She needed to know for herself that Jesus Christ was real. Then, during an incredibly difficult season, she had a brief but profound experience involving a young girl she had taught. In a single moment, Beth felt a certainty that answered a prayer and changed the direction of her life. Years later, after tearing her ACL and being stuck at home during recovery, she began creating simple scripture cards for her family. Those cards eventually became the beginning of Salt & Hart—a company built around helping families bring Christ into everyday life in simple, meaningful ways. But one of Beth's biggest lessons isn't about adding more to our lives. It's about "letting go." She describes our connection to God like an L: one rope connects us to the world, while the other connects us to heaven. The more tightly we hold onto the distractions of the world, the harder it can be to hear God's voice. Sometimes finding your purpose means cutting some of the things that create noise. Less scrolling. Less comparison. Less worrying about what is popular. More space to listen. And sometimes following the Savior looks incredibly ordinary—like giving your 83-year-old neighbor with dementia a ride to run errands and get a root beer. Because loving people isn't always complicated. Sometimes it's simply noticing someone who needs you and choosing kindness. Beth's reminder is powerful: "when we know who we are as children of God, our entire lives can begin to center around Him—and our love grows." Listen to Beth's full story and ask yourself: What could I let go of so I can hear His voice more clearly? Ep 102: Elisha Harris on Healing, Discernment & Learning to Hear God’s Voice
2026/08/14
What if learning to trust yourself could actually help you learn to trust God? For Elisha Harris, that journey took years—and it began in the middle of a childhood shaped by divorce, loss, confusion, and survival. Growing up in Utah, Elisha didn't have a simple faith foundation. Her parents divorced, her mother eventually left the Church, and she later lost her father to suicide. Basketball became one of the ways she coped, but beneath the surface she carried a deep longing for something more. She didn't know how to trust her own instincts, and years of difficult experiences left her questioning what was true and what she could rely on. Eventually, Elisha began an intentional journey of healing, mentorship, and seeking God for herself. She started learning to slow down. To listen. To discern. To recognize the difference between her own thoughts, the expectations of others, and the quiet voice of the Lord. Some of that journey meant saying no to opportunities that looked good on paper because she felt they weren't right for her. Other times, God placed exactly the right people in her path for exactly the right season. Looking back, Elisha can now see God's hand in moments she didn't recognize at the time. Today, she helps others move from survival to surrender and from brokenness to purpose, while sharing her testimony of Jesus Christ and His power to redeem, restore, and transform. Her message is simple: The more intentionally we look for God's hand, the more clearly we begin to recognize Him. Listen to Elisha's full story and consider this question: Where might God already be guiding you that you haven't recognized yet? Find her journey on IG @elishaaharris If this conversation encouraged you, share it with someone who is searching for healing, direction, or a deeper connection with God. #ElishaHarris #FaithJourney #HearHisVoice #Discernment #JesusChrist #HealingJourney #TrustGod #HandOfGod #ChristianPodcast #FromSurvivalToPurpose
Ep 101: Flowers: Samantha Ebert's Story of Lyme Disease, Faith, and Hope
2026/08/07
At just 21 years old, Samantha Ebert's life changed overnight. A mysterious illness left her confined to her bedroom for months, with no answers and no clear future. But it was in that valley that God gave her a song—and a deeper testimony of His love. Samantha Ebert grew up surrounded by faith, music, and a loving Christian family. While studying psychology at the University of Ottawa and serving on worship teams, she never imagined that debilitating pain would suddenly bring her life to a halt. After five long months of searching for answers, she was diagnosed with late-stage Lyme disease. The illness confined her to her room, stole her strength, and left her wondering what God was doing in the middle of her suffering. Then her mother shared a simple but profound truth: "God does His best work in the hardest seasons of our lives." Comparing life to flowers that grow in harsh mountain conditions, Samantha began to see that even difficult places have purpose. Inspired by that conversation, she sat down to write a song—and within just a few hours, "Flowers" was born. As she continued her healing journey, God placed the right doctors, treatments, and people in her path at exactly the right time. Looking back, Samantha sees His hand sustaining her every step of the way. Listen to Samantha's inspiring story and discover how God can grow hope, faith, and purpose—even in life's deepest valleys. One hundred episodes later, one truth has become impossible to ignore. God shows up. Sometimes it's through a life-changing diagnosis. Ep 099: "Help Women Stand": How One Prayer Changed Lynnette Sheppard's Mission
2026/07/24
What if one quiet prayer could completely redirect your life's purpose? For Lynnette Sheppard, that prayer came alone on a mountainside—and the answer from God was unmistakable: "Help women stand." Lynnette Sheppard grew up with a deep foundation of faith, but like many people, she quietly battled feelings of not being enough. Childhood insecurities followed her into adulthood, motherhood, and even as she raised five children. Everything began to change after hearing a message from Sheri Dew about knowing who we truly are. Little by little, Lynnette learned to recognize that the voices telling her she wasn't enough weren't coming from God. Then, during the uncertainty of the pandemic, she noticed increasing criticism and confusion surrounding faith online. Troubled by what she was seeing, she took her questions to the Lord during a solitary hike. The answer surprised her. Instead of stepping away from the noise, she felt called to step into it. With the simple but powerful instruction to "help women stand," Lynnette launched a podcast and social media ministry dedicated to strengthening faith in Jesus Christ and helping women navigate today's challenges with truth, hope, and confidence. Today, she continues sharing light online, reminding others that when we actively look for God's hand, we discover He has been with us all along. If you've ever questioned whether God is aware of you—or wondered how to stay grounded in faith amid today's noise—this conversation will encourage your heart. Listen to the full episode and share it with someone who needs the reminder that God truly has them. #HandOfGod #FaithJourney #StandInChrist #JesusChrist #LDSPodcast #ChristianPodcast #WomenOfFaith #ComeUntoChrist #TenderMercies #HopeInChrist
Ep 098: When Every Door Opened: Jessica Low’s Story of Faith, SMA, and Aubrey’s Miracles
2026/07/17
At one month old, Jessica Low knew something was different with her baby girl. What followed was a rare diagnosis, an urgent race for treatment, a move across borders during COVID, and a series of moments that reminded her family they were not walking alone. Jessica Low is a fitness instructor, mom of three, and a woman whose faith has carried her through the unexpected. Her youngest daughter, Aubrey, was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy type 1—a rare, degenerative neuromuscular disorder that once came with a devastating prognosis. But Aubrey’s story did not end there. From meeting the right specialist at exactly the right time, to securing life-changing treatment, to crossing the border just before it closed during the pandemic, Jessica saw one provision after another. Their family temporarily moved from Calgary to Boston so Aubrey could receive specialized care, and Medicaid approval covered treatment that otherwise would have been impossible to afford. Today, Aubrey is seven years old. She continues to receive care, wears braces, uses a wheelchair for mobility, and is becoming an active voice in her own health decisions. Jessica shares how recognizing God’s hand in the details has brought her greater happiness, peace, and confidence that He is with them. Listen to this powerful episode and be reminded that even when life changes in an instant, God can open doors, send help, and strengthen us for the road ahead. #HandOfGod #FaithInHardTimes #SpinalMuscularAtrophy #SMAWarrior #RareDiseaseAwareness #HopeAndHealing #FaithJourney #MiracleStories #ChristianPodcast #LatterDaySaint
Ep 097: Ashlee Boyson: Finding God's Light After Unimaginable Loss
2026/07/10
What happens when your entire world falls apart overnight? For Ashlee Boyson, one knock at the door forever changed the course of her life. But it wasn't the end of her story. Ashlee was a young mother of five when she discovered her husband had been unfaithful. Just hours after confronting him, police arrived at her door with devastating news: he had been killed in a tragic act of violence. In the years that followed, Ashlee wrestled with grief, anger, shame, and self-blame. She searched desperately for healing, trying to make sense of a life she never imagined living. Then something remarkable happened. A simple blog became a place where she stopped recording her pain and started recording the moments she could see God's hand in her life. One of those moments came after the murder trial. While walking through a grocery store, she repeatedly felt prompted to give $100 to a complete stranger. When she finally obeyed, the woman tearfully shared that she only had $13 left to feed her children. Ashlee realized that while she longed to feel seen by God, one of the greatest ways He healed her was by allowing her to become the answer to someone else's prayer. Today, Ashlee shares a message of hope: no matter how dark life becomes, Christ's light is always greater. If you've ever wondered whether God can carry you through heartbreak, this conversation will remind you that He never leaves us alone. Listen now, and if this episode encourages you, please share it with someone who may need hope today. #HandOfGodPodcast #AshleeBoyson #HopeAfterLoss #FaithInChrist #HealingJourney #TrustGod #Resilience #ChristianPodcast #GodsLove #HopeAndHealing
Ep 096: Title: Ganel-Lyn Condie: Finding Wholeness Through Faith, Loss, and Lupus
2026/07/03
What if healing isn't the same thing as being whole? For years, Ganel-Lyn Condie battled lupus, infertility, family struggles, and the devastating loss of her sister to suicide. Yet through every challenge, she discovered that God's hand was guiding her story—even when she couldn't see it at the time. Author, speaker, and mental health advocate Ganel-Lyn Condie has spent her life sharing stories of faith, resilience, and hope. But some of her most powerful lessons came from her own journey. As a young woman, a misplaced college application unexpectedly led her to the school where she met her future husband. Later, after being diagnosed with lupus and facing a grim prognosis, she was blessed to find one of the leading specialists in the field, helping her welcome two miracle children into her family. Then came one of the hardest experiences of her life: losing her sister to suicide. In a remarkable turn of events, a book she had been compiling about faith and suicide loss became deeply personal when she found herself writing her own family's story into its pages. Ep 095: Celeste Mergens: The 2:30 AM Prompting That Changed Millions of Lives
2026/06/26
What if one quiet prompting from God could change the lives of millions of women and girls around the world? Growing up in poverty, surrounded by instability, abuse, and mental illness, Celeste Mergens could have easily lost hope. Instead, she held onto a deep belief that she was loved by God and that her life had purpose. Years later, while serving in Kenya and witnessing heartbreaking poverty firsthand, she found herself pleading with God for answers. Then at 2:30 in the morning, she woke with a simple question impressed upon her mind: "What do the girls do for feminine hygiene?" That question led to research, action, and eventually the founding of Days for Girls—a global movement that has helped transform the lives of millions of women and girls through menstrual health education, dignity, and opportunity. Celeste shares how God often works through ordinary people willing to listen, act, and trust Him one step at a time.
