He breaks down a great stretch of play for his team in the new year and how the Catamounts have found more goals this season. Then he previews this weekend including Vermont's annual Pack the Gut game against league leaders Northeastern. 

Ahead of a huge weekend in patrick Gym, Vermont Men's Basketball forward Gus Yalden joins the show. Called "The Gus Bus" he gives background on his nickname, previews Thursdays' first place matchup and explains the emotion he plays with on the floor. 

This week on Catamount Insider, graduate student guard Jadyn Weltz joins the show to talk all things women's basketball. She talks about what led her to Vermont, how she's adapted to the Catamounts and keys to playing in a loaded America East this season. 

Coming off a weekend sweep of Northeaster where he scored three goals, Jens Richards joins Catamount Insider. He talks the recent offensive rhythm the team has been in, his current line with Collin Kessler and Blake Steenerson and what being a captain has been like. 

In his yearly sit down on Catamount Insider, Athletic Director Jeff Schulman joins host Brian McLaughlin for a 2025 recap. In a wide ranging conversation they touch on Alisa Kresge's winning milestone with women's basketball, a facilities update and how Schulman approached the men's soccer coaching search. 

Coming off a big win against Siena, Sean Blake joins Catamount Insider to talk about his sophomore season so far. The team has won three straight and Sean describes his role on an offense full of scoring options. He also talks about his individual defensive development and how the team has also taken strides on that side of the ball. 

For our first check-in of the season with the UVM women's basketball team, senior captain Keira Hanson returns to the show! She gives insight into the Catamounts trip out west including a trip home for her and her younger sister Lia, and what worked well for the Catamounts at the tournament in Hawaii. 

For our first basketball sit down of the season redshirt-sophomore forward Noah Barnett joins the show. He and host Brian McLaughlin discuss the start to the season, an offensive minded Catamount team and how he has worked to develop his game. 

Vermont women's soccer head coach joins the show this week to recap the Catamounts run to the America East title game. She discusses where her team developed most over the season, how she got into coaching and what it's been like to see soccer's popularity grow in her home state of Vermont. 

Ahead of the NCAA Tournament, veteran midfielder Nash Barlow joins Catamount Insider to break down the season. A versatile player, Barlow describes his role on the team and how he impacts the winning culture in Burlington. He also shares his love for the school and how he grew up dreaming of representing the Catamounts as a local product from Burlington. 

Coming off a dramatic comeback win in the America East semi-finals David Ismail joins Catamount Insider and immediately sheds light on the Catamounts ability to find goals late in games. He Discusses his evolution as a leader and what makes this years team unique from the National Championship squad from a year ago. 

To preview the matchup with Boston College, Sophomore Defenseman Jax Wismer joins Catamount Insider for episode six. He takes a look back at his freshman season and details his first goal of this season. Then he discusses his pride to play for the Catamounts and how he feels the Catamounts have what it takes to get to the top of the Hockey East.  

First year midfielder Nico Loebus joins the show to talk soccer after the recent win on the road at No. 2 Bryant. After breaking down his recent first-career goal and the physical victory over the Bulldogs, Nico and host Brian McLaughlin explore the life of another international Catamount student-athlete and how he has adjusted to playing soccer in the states. They wrap up with Chat with the Cats including how Nico approaches a long bus ride, the sport (not soccer) that dominates the Loebus household, and their shared love of Chelsea. 

Coming off a Senior Day win and a thriller in double-ot against UAlbany, field hockey captain Sofia Lefranc joins Catamount Insider! She breaks down the game-winning goal against the Great Danes and gives her perspective on what is ahead in the home stretch of the season. 

After an upset win against St. Lawrence the leading scorer of the Vermont Women's Ice Hockey team Kaylee Lewis joins the show! She discusses growing up playing hockey in Texas, a tough schedule to start the season and how the Catamounts are looking to find a new level of offense this season.
