Episode 52: Your Brain Expects the Worst: What Happens When You Give the Best Case Scenario Equal Airtime?
2026/09/30
What if you gave the best case scenario as much airtime as you give the worst case scenario? I used to think imagining everything that could possibly go wrong meant I was prepared. I could play out the accident, the failed business, the bad decision, the wrong spouse for one of my kids and every other terrible possibility before anything had even happened. But I started realizing that I wasn't always preparing myself. Sometimes I was just rehearsing tragedies that didn't exist. In this episode, I'm sharing how I'm learning to catch my brain when it automatically goes to the worst case scenario and intentionally ask a different question: What if it all works out? I'll show you how to give the best case scenario equal airtime, use that incredible imagination of yours to picture what could go right and stop letting a future that hasn't happened yet steal the joy from the life you're living right now. You don't have to convince yourself that everything will work out perfectly. You just have to remember that the worst case scenario isn't guaranteed either. So if you're going to tell yourself a story about the future, why not tell yourself a really freaking good one? #WorstCaseScenario #Overthinking #Anxiety #WorryLess #Mindset #MindsetShift #PositiveThinking #PersonalDevelopment #SelfGrowth #ThoughtWork #ChangeYourThoughts #MentalStrength #IntentionalLiving #BestCaseScenario #WhatIfItAllWorksOut #NotAnymorePodcast #lifecoach
Episode 51: You Don’t Have to Figure It All Out Today: How to Stop Worrying and Be Present
2026/09/23
What if you didn’t have to figure out your whole life today? I’ve realized how often I let yesterday’s mistakes, conversations, and regrets follow me into today while also pulling tomorrow’s worries, problems, and what ifs into a day that hasn’t even happened yet. No wonder life can feel so overwhelming. In this episode, I’m sharing one of my favorite lessons from Dale Carnegie’s How to Stop Worrying and Start Living about learning to live in day tight compartments. Just like a ship can close watertight doors to keep one flooded section from taking down the entire ship, we can learn to stop letting yesterday and tomorrow flood the day we’re actually living. I’ll share the powerful idea behind Just for Today and a simple way I’m learning to quiet the worry, stop trying to solve everything at once, and come back to what I can actually control right now. You don’t need enough strength for the next year today. You don’t need all the answers. You don’t have to know how everything is going to work out. You just need to live today. #StopWorrying #Overthinking #AnxietyRelief #Mindset #PersonalGrowth #SelfImprovement #BePresent #LiveInTheMoment #WorryLess #StressRelief #DaleCarnegie #MindsetShift #LifeCoaching #NotAnymorePodcast
Episode 50: In a Funk and Don’t Know Why? How to Feel Your Feelings and Figure Out What You Actually Need
2026/09/16
I had a meltdown this week, and instead of immediately trying to coach myself out of it, change my thoughts, or hurry up and feel better, I decided to actually feel what was happening in my body. In this episode, I’m getting real and raw about what happened, what I discovered underneath the frustration, and why I’m learning that sometimes the meltdown isn’t the problem. Sometimes it’s the messenger. I’m sharing what it looked like to stop analyzing everything in my head, get into my body, feel the emotions I had been resisting, and finally recognize what I actually needed. Personal development isn’t about becoming so evolved that nothing ever bothers us. Maybe it’s about becoming less afraid of what we feel and learning how to listen to ourselves before we hit the breaking point. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, irritated, emotional, or completely off and couldn’t figure out why, this episode is for you. #NotAnymorePodcast #PersonalDevelopment #EmotionalHealth #FeelYourFeelings #SelfAwareness #Mindset #LifeCoaching #EmotionalIntelligence #MentalHealth #SelfGrowth #motherhood #overwhelmed
Episode 49: Your Life Doesn’t Need to Change, Your Thoughts Do: How to Feel Better Without Changing Your Circumstances
2026/09/10
Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “If this one thing would change, then I could finally feel better”? If my kids would behave differently. If my husband would understand. If I could lose the weight. If we made more money. If this person would change. If I could just get through this season. I’ve done it too. I’ve spent so much energy believing that something outside of me needed to change before I could feel differently inside of me. But what if your life doesn’t need to change nearly as much as you think it does? In this episode, I’m talking about the incredible power our thoughts and beliefs have over the way we experience our lives. I share fascinating experiments about grip strength, poison ivy and expectation, along with some very real stories from my own life that have reminded me that I don’t have to believe every thought my brain gives me. I can’t control my kids, my husband, other people’s opinions, the economy, what someone says or what happened yesterday. But I can start paying attention to the thoughts I’m allowing to run my life. And when I find a thought that is creating a life I don’t want anymore, I can question it. I can challenge it. I can stop rehearsing it. I can decide, not anymore. Maybe there are parts of your life that are already beautiful and your thoughts just haven’t let you see them yet. This week, I’m challenging you to notice when something feels heavy and ask yourself one simple question: “What am I making this mean?” Your circumstances are part of your story, but they don’t get to write the whole thing. Not anymore. #Mindset #PersonalDevelopment #ChangeYourThoughts #ChangeYourLife #PositiveMindset #SelfGrowth #MindsetShift #LifeCoaching #MentalStrength #SelfImprovement #PersonalGrowth #ThoughtWork #EmotionalWellness #WomenEmpowerment #NotAnymorePodcast
Episode 48: Stop Treating Every Little Thing Like an Emergency: Feel Less Stressed and Get Out of Survival Mode
2026/09/02
Have you ever noticed how quickly your body can turn something small into a full blown emergency? Someone is upset with you. You’re running late. You make a mistake. Your kid is melting down. You have a hard conversation coming up. Suddenly your heart is racing, your mind is spinning, and your body is screaming, FIX IT NOW. I lived this way for years without realizing it. My nervous system had learned to treat discomfort like danger. In this episode, I’m talking about what happens when we spend too much of our lives in fight or flight, how chronic stress can affect our physical and emotional health, and the realization that helped me start retraining my nervous system. I’ll share some of the signs that your body may be living in survival mode, why calm can actually feel uncomfortable when you’re used to constant urgency, and one simple practice I use to remind my body that I am safe. Not everything is an emergency. Someone being disappointed in you is not an emergency. Being late is not an emergency. Making a mistake is not an emergency. Having an uncomfortable conversation is not an emergency. This week, I want you to start noticing when your body sounds the alarm and ask yourself, “Am I actually in danger, or am I just uncomfortable?” Take three deep breaths and remind yourself: This is not an emergency. I am safe. I do not have to fix this right now. It might feel unnatural at first. Keep practicing. We are retraining that barking dog inside of us. Not anymore. #NervousSystem #NervousSystemRegulation #FightOrFlight #SurvivalMode #StressManagement #ChronicStress #AnxietyRelief #MentalHealth #PersonalDevelopment #Mindset #EmotionalWellness #SelfImprovement #Mindfulness #StressRelief #NotAnymorePodcast
Episode 47: Stop Comparing and Start Trusting Yourself
2026/08/27
Have you ever seen another mom, friend, or person on social media doing something amazing and immediately thought, “Wait…should I be doing that too?” I caught myself doing exactly that. I saw another mom sharing something she does to connect with her family, and within seconds, my brain had turned her beautiful idea into evidence that I was doing motherhood wrong. But then I caught it: Not anymore. What if she’s a great mom AND I’m a great mom? What if her way works for her family and my way works for mine? What if neither of us is doing it wrong? In this episode, I’m talking about comparison, information overload, all of the “shoulds” we put on ourselves, and how easy it is to let someone else’s parenting, health routine, habits, or lifestyle make us question our own. I’ll share how I’m learning to stop asking, “What’s the right way to do this?” and start asking a much better question: “What am I actually trying to create?” Because comparison doesn’t just steal our joy, it can steal our self-trust. My hope is that after this episode, you’ll feel a little less pressure to find the “right” way to live and a lot more confident trusting yourself to decide what works for YOU. Maybe you don’t need another person telling you how to live your life. Maybe you need to become the person whose opinion about your life you trust. #NotAnymorePodcast #SelfTrust #StopComparing #Comparison #PersonalGrowth #Mindset #MindsetShift #SelfImprovement #Motherhood #Parenting #Overthinking #Confidence #WomenEmpowerment #PersonalDevelopment
Episode 46: Change Who You Believe You Are and Watch Your Life Change
2026/08/10
For years I believed that once my circumstances changed, then I would finally become the person I wanted to be. Once I reached the goal, sold the house, built the business, ate healthier, or became more confident, then everything else would fall into place. But a surprising lesson from my daughter completely challenged that way of thinking. After hearing a parenting insight from Dr. Becky, I realized that maybe the words "I wish" are more powerful than I ever imagined. They reveal the person we're longing to become. The problem is that most of us spend our lives rehearsing the identity we're trying to leave behind instead of practicing the one we're trying to grow into. In this episode, I'm sharing how shifting my identity before seeing the results has changed the way I think about parenting, faith, business, health, and everyday life. We'll talk about the difference between fantasy and faith, why your brain believes the stories you repeatedly tell yourself, and how becoming the future version of yourself today can completely change the actions you take tomorrow. If you've ever found yourself saying, "I wish..." this episode will challenge you to stop waiting for your life to change and start becoming the person God already knows you can be. #IdentityShift #MindsetMatters #PersonalGrowth #FaithOverFear #SelfDevelopment #BecomeWhoYouAre #ChristianPodcast #GrowthMindset #IntentionalLiving #NotAnymorePodcast
Episode 45: Stop Trying to Say the Right Thing and Start Telling the Real Truth
2026/07/28
For years I thought there was a right way to do everything. The right way to parent. The right way to handle conflict. The right way to text people back. The right thing to say in hard conversations. I was constantly overthinking my words trying to avoid failure embarrassment rejection or disappointing people. And honestly? It was exhausting. In this episode I’m talking about the pressure so many of us carry to get everything “right” and how that pressure slowly disconnects us from who we really are. I share personal stories about motherhood marriage teaching and relationships and the moment a conversation with my daughter completely stopped me in my tracks when I told her:  “Don’t try to be right. Just be real.” We’re diving into why authenticity creates deeper connection than perfection ever will and what it actually looks like to stop performing and start showing up honestly in everyday life. If you constantly replay conversations in your head struggle with people pleasing overthink texts avoid hard conversations or feel anxious trying to say the perfect thing this episode will feel like a deep breath for your soul. This is your reminder that you do not need perfect words to be worthy loved respected or connected. You just need to be real. #PeoplePleasing #Perfectionism #Authenticity #SelfGrowth #Motherhood #Healing #Confidence #MentalHealth #Relationships #PersonalDevelopment
Episode 44: Having a Bad Day Does Not Mean You’re Doing Life Wrong, It's Actually a Sign You're Right on Track
2026/05/28
A while back I had one of those terrible horrible no good very bad days. I woke up sick, overwhelmed, exhausted, and completely buried under the pressure of everything I needed to do. My brain convinced me every task was an emergency and no amount of mindset work could snap me out of it. For a minute I judged myself hard. I thought I should be handling things better. I thought successful people must have figured out how to avoid bad days altogether. But then I learned something that completely changed my perspective. High performers actually expect bad days. The most successful people in the world still have off days, emotional days, and overwhelmed days. They just do not make those days mean they are failing. In this episode I talk about overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, self compassion, hormones, productivity pressure, and the freedom that comes when we stop expecting ourselves to feel amazing all the time. This episode is for anyone who has ever wondered why they cannot just snap out of it and needs the reminder that a bad day does not mean you are broken. It might actually mean you are human and right on track. #NotAnymorePodcast #OverwhelmedMom #PersonalDevelopment #MentalHealthAwareness #SelfCompassion #MindsetShift #EmotionalWellness #HighPerformerHabits #MomLifeUnfiltered #HealingJourney #AnxietyRelief #WomenSupportingWomen #GrowthMindset #SelfWorth #PodcastForWomen #OvercomingOverwhelm #BadDaysHappen #EmotionalHealth #MindsetMatters #ProgressNotPerfection
Episode 43: The Problem Isn’t Them, It’s the Manual You Created for Them That is Frustrating You
2026/05/19
In this episode, I talk about the invisible manuals I realized I had created for almost everyone in my life. Manuals for how husbands should act, how teenagers should behave, how kids should respond, and even how strangers should show up in the world. I share how my brain was constantly comparing reality to these made up rules and how that comparison was creating frustration, hurt, and disappointment. I dive into what is actually happening in our brains when people do not meet our expectations and why learning to question those manuals has completely changed the way I experience relationships. I share personal stories about Cody, parenting, teenagers, and the freedom that comes when we stop arguing with reality and start loving people for who they truly are instead of who we think they should be. This episode is an invitation to notice the rules you have created in your own mind and practice saying, “Not anymore.” #NotAnymorePodcast #MindsetShift #SelfAwareness #Relationships #PersonalGrowth
Episode 42: Stop Saying “I Have To” and Start Enjoying Your Life Again - How to Turn Pressure Into Joy Like an Olympian
2026/03/25
What if the stress you feel every day isn’t actually coming from your life but from the story you’re telling yourself about it? In this episode, I’m sharing a powerful mindset shift that completely changed how I show up in my life. Inspired by Olympian Alysa Liu and her ability to compete with joy instead of pressure, I break down the difference between thinking “I have to” versus choosing “I want to” and how that one small shift can change everything. I walk you through real life examples from my own week including motherhood, workouts, hard conversations, and even the mental load that started showing up physically in my body. I talk about how our thoughts create our feelings and how the pressure we carry is often self created. I also tie this back to concepts from Byron Katie and past episodes where we’ve talked about turning stress into something lighter and more intentional. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck in pressure, or like everything is just too much, this episode will help you release that weight and step back into a more joyful, empowered way of living. You don’t have to do anything. But you can choose everything. #mindsetshift #selfgrowth #personaldevelopment #stressmanagement #mentalhealthmatters #mindsetcoach #positivepsychology #selfimprovement #momlife #healingjourney #confidence #anxietyrelief #innerpeace #growthmindset #podcastlife
Episode 41: Why Life Feels So Hard and the “Harvard Mindset” That Can Change How You Handle It
2026/03/18
In this episode I share a mindset shift that completely changed the way I handle hard days. Like most of us, I have moments where I catch myself thinking, “Why is this so hard?” Between parenting challenges, overwhelming schedules, unexpected news, and emotional days, it can feel like life is just piling on. Recently I had one of those days. The kind where everything felt off and the temptation to complain, snap, or shut down was very real. Instead, I used a simple mental tool that helped me completely reframe what I was experiencing. I started thinking about Harvard. Harvard only accepts about 3% of applicants. The people who get in know it is going to be incredibly difficult and they want that challenge because they understand the growth, opportunity, and transformation that come from it. So what if the hardest things in our lives are not proof that something is wrong? What if they are proof that we got in? In this episode I walk through how I use what I call the Harvard mindset to shift from feeling overwhelmed and frustrated to showing up as the person I actually want to be. I share how this perspective helps me handle hard parenting days, emotional overwhelm, setbacks, and stressful seasons with more resilience, personal responsibility, and growth. If you have been feeling overwhelmed, stuck in negative thoughts, or asking yourself why life feels so hard, this episode will help you reframe challenges, strengthen your mindset, and step into personal growth instead of resistance. Because hard does not mean you are failing. Sometimes hard means you are exactly where you are meant to grow. And the real question becomes this. Who do you want to become because of it? #personaldevelopment #mindsetshift #growthmindset #selfimprovement #resilience #mentalstrength #overcomingchallenges #selfleadership #emotionalresilience #personalgrowth #mindsetmatters #selfawareness #lifecoaching #transformyourmindset #notanymorepodcast
Episode 40: The Person Who Irritates You the Most Is Your Greatest Teacher
2026/03/11
In this episode I share the mindset shift that is changing the way I show up in my marriage, my parenting, and every relationship in my life. I have been reading Loving What Is by Byron Katie and diving deeper into thought work, self awareness, and emotional triggers. What I am learning is that most of my frustration is not coming from other people’s behavior but from the thoughts I am believing about their behavior. If you have ever thought he should make better choices, they should respect my boundaries, or why do they act like they know everything, this episode will challenge you in the best way. I walk through the four powerful questions that help me stop overthinking, stop reacting, and take responsibility for my own emotional growth. I also explain what a turnaround is and how flipping the story can completely change your confidence, communication, and peace. This is not about tolerating disrespect or ignoring real problems. This is about personal growth, healthier boundaries, and learning how to respond instead of react. If you want stronger communication in your relationships, more confidence, and practical tools for emotional maturity, this episode will give you a simple framework you can start using today. It might feel uncomfortable at first, but this work has helped me stop blaming and start growing. And that changes everything. #personaldevelopment #growthmindset #personalgrowth #selfdevelopment #selfawareness #mindsetshift #emotionalintelligence #emotionalgrowth #innerwork #selfimprovement #healthyrelationships #relationshipgrowth #healthyboundaries #selfleadership #mindsetmatters
Episode 39: Stop Overthinking and Start Taking Action
2026/03/04
How many times have you talked yourself out of something because you imagined the worst case scenario? In this episode, I share how I am learning to stop letting fear of rejection, anxiety, and people pleasing run my life by asking one powerful question What’s the worst that could happen? From coaching a teen through the courage to ask friends to include her, to sending a bold text about changes to our new home, I walk you through how our mindset creates stories that feel real but are completely made up. I talk about overcoming fear, being okay with disappointing people, building self confidence, and choosing a story that leads to personal growth instead of staying stuck. If you struggle with overthinking, fear of rejection, social anxiety, or constantly trying to control other people’s feelings, this episode will help you shift your mindset and take brave action. It is time to stop living in imagined worst case scenarios and start choosing faith over fear. Not anymore to letting anxiety make the decisions. Not anymore to shrinking to keep others comfortable. It is time to show up authentically and do the brave thing anyway. #personaldevelopment #growthmindset #selfgrowth #mindsetshift #overcomefear #selfimprovement #confidencebuilding #personalgrowthjourney #mentalstrength #overthinking #courageousliving #faithoverfear #authenticliving #peoplepleasingrecovery #innerwork
Episode 38: The Secret to Getting People to Change
2026/02/25
In this episode, I’m sharing the real secret to getting people to change and it might not be what you expect. For years, I believed that if the people in my life would just act differently, everything would feel easier. I spent so much time blaming my circumstances, my relationships, and other people for how I felt without realizing how much power I was giving away. Through my own personal growth journey and life coaching tools, I learned that real change starts with me. When I stopped trying to control other people and started taking responsibility for my thoughts, my mindset, and my reactions, my entire life changed. My relationships improved, I felt more peace as a mom, and I finally experienced the freedom that personal development promises. In this episode, I talk about mindset, emotional awareness, self growth, and how your thoughts create your reality. I share real life examples from marriage, motherhood, and everyday stress to show how you can feel better and more in control even when nothing around you changes. If you are ready to stop blaming, take ownership of your life, and experience real growth without waiting on anyone else, this episode is for you. #personaldevelopment #personalgrowth #mindset #selfgrowth #lifecoaching #emotionalintelligence #selfawareness #momlife #thoughtwork #growthmindset
