Description

His name is Timothée Hal Chalamet. You may call him Timmy, Timothy, Teem-o-tay (if you're French), Tian-cha (if you speak Chinese), or Doug (never Tim). ❤️ He grew up in an artists’ building in New York City listening to his parents’ favorite music: showtunes and French classics (but everybody knows he loves rap and hip-hop—and Raisinets, which is weird). Since then, he's won the 2025 SAG award for best actor, the 2026 Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy, two Critics Choice awards, and he's been nominated for 2 Oscars. 🤍 We’d love to interview him someday, but for now, we talk about his

Joaquin Phoenix blew Timothée Chalamet's mind in THE MASTER
2026/09/27
In this episode, Caitlin and Jacob discuss The Master, the 2012 Paul Thomas Anderson movie starring Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Amy Adams, each of whom received Oscar nominations for their performances. In a conversation with Lucid Motors last year, Timmy named Joaquin Phoenix “the strange GOAT,” and has made no secret of his desire to work with PTA, whom he referred to as one of his “cinematic heroes” in a 2018 awards speech. While Anderson isn’t Caitlin's favorite director, a great discussion was had about The Master’s cinematography, the score, and the thinly veiled similarities between the fictional Lancaster Dodd and the real-world Scientology leader L. Ron Hubbard.
Timothée Chalamet loves Tom Cruise in TOP GUN: MAVERICK
2026/08/28
In this episode, Caitlin and Colette are "focused" on Top Gun: Maverick, Joseph Kosinski’s 2022 sequel to the 1986 Tony Scott film starring Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, and many more. Both films are discussed on their own and in relation to each other, as well as why Timmy might like them. Of course, there's a fair number of tangents on the film, theater, and publishing industries, too. Note: The editing is a little choppy on this one 🫣 Apologies 🙏🏻 References "Timothée Chalamet Goes Electric" (GQ)Jimmy Kimmel Interview (Dune: Part Two press tour)Tom Cruise advocating for Val Kilmer (People)Tom Cruise stunt history (THR)Timmy meets Tom at ACU screening in London
Pacino & DeNiro in HEAT (and Timothée in his "White Boy of the Year" era)
2026/07/27
In this episode, Caitlin talks with Ross about Heat, the 1995 Michael Mann film which Timmy said was his “favorite movie of the year” on a call with Anthony Edwards for the 1st Annual Believe That Awards at the end of 2025 (the one where they crowned him White Boy of the Year). Because Heat left a lot to be desired, there's talk about a bunch of other Pacino and DeNiro performances (The Godfather, Analyze This, Dog Day Afternoon, Insomnia), as well as films like The Graduate, Fargo, As Good As it Gets, this year’s Odyssey (no spoilers) and even Mary Poppins. We also talked about broadcast television, so of course Caitlin had to bring up X-Files. In short, if you like hearing stories about the film and TV industry over the last 50 years, this episode is for you. 2026/06/27

Heath Ledger as "The Joker" in THE DARK KNIGHT
2026/05/27
In this episode, Bo and Caitlin talk about The Dark Knight, the Christopher Nolan-directed Batman movie that set 12-year-old Timmy on the path to acting greatness. He’s not in the film, but he loves Heath Ledger’s Joker enough that we decided to record an episode on it. Timothée Chalamet as "Daniel Middleton" in HOT SUMMER NIGHTS
2026/05/10
In this episode, Caitlin talks with Eleanor about Hot Summer Nights, the 2017 indie film about a young man who gets in over his head dealing drugs in Cape Cod in 1991. We dig a lot more into how the movie came to be than Timmy’s acting, but we hope you enjoy what we have to say all the same. And now that we've finished talking about all of Timmy's movies to date (no we're not counting short films or Homeland or Loving Leah), the second half of this season (until Dune: Part Three of course) will cover films Timothée loves, rather than films he's in. Timothée Chalamet as "Billy Mitman" in MISS STEVENS
2026/04/27
In this episode Caitlin talks with Kami and Nicole about Miss Stevens, the 2016 indie film starring Lily Rabe, Timothée Chalamet, and Lili Reinhart of Riverdale fame. It’s a movie about a young teacher who chaperones a few high schoolers on a drama trip that spawned Timmy’s viral Death of a Salesman monologue, rivaled only by his off-Broadway performance in Prodigal Son. Note: We did have some recording issues, so you'll hear a little more cross-talk than usual, and a few pops here and there (apologies). Timothée Chalamet as "Gatsby Welles" in A RAINY DAY IN NEW YORK
2026/04/10
In this episode, Caitlin talks with Erin and Ozzie about A Rainy Day in New York, the 2019 Woody Allen rom-com starring Timothée Chalamet, Elle Fanning, Selena Gomez, Jude Law, and more. We do discuss the problem of Woody Allen in the context of this movie, but also delve into film and character analysis outside of that. And we wander a bit into yapping about the new Dune trailer, Project Hail Mary, Antz, and even our own films, so consider yourself warned. Timothée Chalamet as "Zac" in ONE & TWO
2026/03/27
In this episode, Caitlin and Kourtney discuss One & Two, a 2015 film starring Timothée Chalamet and Kiernan Shipka as teenage siblings with superpowers living in isolation. Although we agree this movie leaves a lot to be desired, comparisons are made to Bones & All as well as M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village, starring Joaquin Phoenix, who Timmy once called “the weird GOAT” when listing his favorite actors of all time. 2026/01/10
In our season 2 finale, Caitlin talks with Grace and Colette about 2025's Marty Supreme, Timmy's fourth A24 film and a fast-paced pseudo-biopic about a ping pong player's quest for greatness, directed by Josh Safdie. This is Timmy's Oscar buzziest role yet, so be sure to see the movie in theaters ASAP if you haven't already. NOTE: Some of the recorded audio was a little crackly so we had to forgo background noise reduction to preserve what was said.
