Welcome back to an extremely tense episode - there’s heart-pumping, cardiologist-rolling drama left and right! In this first half of Episode 3, Whit makes a speech at her Alma mater, Appalachian State! Will she be crushed by questions she can’t answer, like “you’re not a doctor! What entitles you to an opinion on health at any size?” Or will she rise above by telling stories we wish Babs and Glenn didn’t have to hear about intimacy issues while being overweight?  Whit also visits her cardiologist for the first time, and begs for  Will, her former trainer, to take her back as a client. 

Never have I ever: Attended my own FUNE. Have y'all ever attended your own fune, and what would you wear? We're here at Whitney's FUNE (how many times can we say "fune" before Whit actually coins in the term in Season 13?) and she is PISSED. None of us would want to be in that room with her, even once she takes her MBFFL headshot off the altar! Hot pink? For a funeral? Interesting choice! We're all holding our breath to see how Whitney absorbs the news that she's died (spoiler alert: it's not good). But at least Whit, Lennie, Buddy and Heather have a fun way to recover: a fun-filled couples trip to Boone! Don't worry, though, this is the first of many couples trips the show covers that ends in much more drama than happiness. 

This episode: Brace yourself, because we’re having an intervention! As all previous efforts to convince Whit that (eating-related) crime doesn’t pay have failed, Babs and Glenn are taking things to a new level. With Tal at the helm of this rapidly sinking ship, Whitney’s family and friends decide that throwing her a phony funeral (a “fune” for those who have meowed ‘Amazing Grace’ with us in Season 13). Will attending her own fune be enough to kickstart Whitney’s weight-loss journey once and for all? Or will it make her so mad she backslides to spite her fake-fune-throwing friends and family? This week, though we’re back with more of everyone’s least favorite recap “the Skinny,” we’re shaking things up and adding guests to the interview couch, and thank God because it’s cutting some of the tension between Whit and Mike Kane! We think it’s safe to say that there’s no one we’d rather hear from about Whitney’s life choices than Babs and Glenn - and they’re here to answer all our burning questions! Babs and Glenn reveal behind the scenes insights, talk about intimate moments and finally dish on some of the drama involved in MBFFL! 

There’s a lot to look back on this season - what hasn’t Whit done (besides lose weight)? She’s ridden a bike, traveled cross country, promoted her No BS (still unclear what that stands for) campaign and much, much more! She’s even found love with Lennie! Season 2 was certainly a season to remember, so all that’s left to do now is look back on it with The Skinny - and don’t  worry, it’s not lost on us that we’re dropping this episode right when New Year’s Eve hits! But there’s too much content to squeeze into just one episode, so stay tuned for more next week! 

Today, Whitney's joining forces with Dancing Man in Los Angeles and getting her groove on at a body positive dancing event! Even though she's just part of an ensemble in a very of-the-time flashmob, Whit is feeling the pressure and wanting to put her best foot (and disappearing/reappearing dress) forward at all costs - set aside the fact that this event is about Dancing Man and his struggles to dance as a big boy. Will Whitney perform on the dance floor or will it be a big flop? Or will she do so well that she gets a little excited and makes a massive confession to Lennie? Only listening will tell! 

When Whit's boss at the Greenboro Grasshoppers asks her to fill in for the stadium's beloved hype man, Spaz, Whit doesn't know if she's up to the task. Spaz's job is a big one, and he's leaving some big shoes to fill as he heads off to a wedding and can't be around for the game! But with some training help from Sean at the Clerb, a new jersey and a fresh nickname ("Big Whit"), Whitney finds that she’s not only up to the task, she might be willing to fill in for Spaz again! On this episode we’ve got the first of many times that Whitney starts to feel her biological clock ticking (which, in Tal’s opinion, is awesome!) as she embarks on a babysitting adventure with Tal’s nephew, a very cute 11-month-old with a very southern-sounding name! Though Whit has to strap a towel to her face to avoid smelling his dirty diaper, she quickly forgets her horror and falls in love with the little guy, wondering if maybe she could be a mom herself. Lennie seems skeptical, but we know better - this episode will be sure to ignite Whitney’s maternal instincts and set her on a course of fertility exploration - but will her PCOS hold her back from motherhood?

This week on The Plot Thickens, we're headed to New York - no, not New York City. We're heading to Saratoga, NY to the National Museum of Dance. With her performance at the National Museum of Dance upon her, Whitney is still unsure of her routine - should she add an impossible backward roll just to add some spice, or should she go with a move that's more tried and true? Leslie, the owner of Greensboro Dance Theater, may feel one way, but we feel another. One thing's for sure - Saratoga never saw Whitney coming! 

This episode is LIT - and we mean literally on FIRE - it’s a fireside chat of an episode and Whitney is having all her buddies over for a campfire. But instead of roasting weenies and toasting marshmallows, Whit and the gang are playing a rousing game of truth or dare. Tensions are high and Tal’s feet are higher (because they’re above his head as he does a naked handstand)! But will the shirt switching and stop-drop-and-rolling lead to fun and fear conquering or disaster? 

Whit's short on cash in this week's episode (even though she's working two jobs) and what better (and sexier) way to raise funds than a car wash? Whitney and her Big Girls are banding together to wash some cars and raise some cash. They've got some picky customers (like GlennThore) and some rowdy onlookers (luckily no shouts of "Shamu got out!") but they're ready to work and use the funds to get Whit (and not themselves, apparently) to Saratoga for the Museum of Dance recital! 

This week, Whitney’s hoping to take her relationship to the next level - and Babs tells her that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach (not his loins, as Whitney previously thought)! So what better way to get Lennie into her heart and her bedroom than to whip up something delicious - but what’s cookin’ in Whit’s kitchen? Will it be feast or famine; delicious or detestable; fabulous or needing a fire extinguisher? 

We’re pulling out BIG stops this week - and we mean BIG stops, because it’s the summer showcase for Greensboro Dance Theater and Whitney and her Big Girls have been invited to participate. Whitney may have punted the solo to Lauryn, but the pressure is anything but off. She still needs to tighten up the BGDC’s choreography to La Danza, and they’ve got a long way to go. Everything looks like it might work out until an outfit malfunction threatens to cause injury at work and serious embarrassment at best! Will Whitney and the girls hold their heads (and skin headbands) high and slay the house down? Or will poor Lauryn buckle under the pressure of the event (and her sarong, which is anything but sa-right)? Tune in to find out!
