The story of Job reveals a great controversy unseen by human eyes. Satan claimed that when everything is taken—even life itself—man will turn from God. Temptation is inevitable, but yielding to temptation is not. I’ve started a new song series based on the book of Jonah, beginning with “Arise, Go, and Cry Aloud.” Jonah was called to take God’s warning to Nineveh, yet while a storm raged around him, God’s messenger was asleep. His story speaks powerfully to God’s people today: this is no time for His watchmen to slumber. BY WHOM YE ARE SEALED Ephesians 4:30 [Verse 1 — The Question] Some say the Spirit is a force, God's power sent abroad; Some say He is no Person, just the presence sent from God. The word “Trinity” is not there—and this we know is true; So let us ask the Bible: Who is He? What does He do? No human creed or theory can define who He is; Let Scripture give the answer—let the evidence begin! [Verse 2 — Bible and Bible Only] Some early Adventists viewed the Spirit differently; Some saw Him only as God's power, not One who speaks and wills. Some today repeat their words: “He is but Christ made near.” But neither church nor teacher stands above God's written Word. “The Bible and the Bible only”—there our faith must stand; Test every teaching by the Word, and follow God's command. [Verse 3 — From the Beginning] In Genesis, God's Spirit moved upon the waters' face; The Spirit gave us life and breath—His power we clearly trace.
