Advertise on podcast: It's Broadway Bitch

It's a Broadway podcast crossover! We are joined by The Theater Enthusiast host Allison, and I Wanna Be Like You host Elbi to discuss the fall lineup of shows coming to Broadway. What are we excited about, what do we know nothing about, and what have we already bought tickets for??  We also dish about shows we love (and some we regret missing), perfectly cast shows and imperfectly cast shows, our Mt. Rushmore of shows, and we tackle the Inside the Actors studio questions and make some questionable fart sounds with our hands. It's a dang hoot! *****RATE ***** REVIEW******SUBSCRIBE***** And tell a fellow theatre lover to come on over and join us. A Labor Day treat! We're talking to a writer, director, and actor the amazing Douglas Lyons!!! You have seen him in Book of Mormon and Parade and you have seen his work in Chicken and Biscuits and Beau The Musical. We talk all about how auditioning has almost nothing to do with talent, how every audition can be a chance to "book the room," and why you should keep creating even when nobody is calling. We dish about writing your own projects and how to actually start that, reaching out to producers, writing Black stories with joy, creating better roles for Black women, making a rom-com for the stage, finding your silly, and what Broadway could do to reach new audiences. We cover it alllllll and by the end we actually fix Broadway. Catch his new show Table 17 on the West End this fall! *****RATE ***** REVIEW******SUBSCRIBE***** And tell a fellow theatre lover to come on over and join us. From being a swing dresser on Broadway to writing her own book I am utterly fascinated by Teale Dvornik! Currently working as a dresser for the Met Opera, she has also worked on Aladdin and Wicked and through those experiences created The Backstage Blonde. Using the stories she heard from generational stage hands, and her own personal experiences working backstage she started to create the kind of Broadway content she wanted to see which lead to her getting her NYC tourism license and giving in depth Broadway History tours. We dish about the hidden secrets of some of the most iconic theaters, how Babe Ruth was traded because of a musical, where you should eat before a show and if you should tip your dressers. *****RATE ***** REVIEW******SUBSCRIBE***** And tell a fellow theatre lover to come on over and join us.
