Why does the public get the sales pitch, but have to keep asking for answers about problems inside the agency? We’re breaking down the good, the concerns, and why transparency needs to include more than the stories that make leadership look good. If you’re willing to stand in front of the cameras to promote it, be willing to answer the difficult questions about it.

Selective discipline. Isolation. Retaliation. Careers destroyed while the right people are protected. And it doesn’t stop with the cops. When police administrators are willing to bully their own people, what happens when members of the community criticize them, question their decisions, or demand accountability? In this episode of Lock’d Up with Copville, we’re talking about what I call the ADMIN MAFIA—the culture that can develop when power, politics, loyalty, and protecting the organization become more important than protecting good cops and serving the public. This isn't about being anti-cop. It's about being anti-bad leadership. Because if story after story from former cops sounds almost identical, maybe we should stop blaming every cop who speaks out and start asking why the same allegations keep coming from different agencies across the country. What happens when off-duty police officers show up to a high school football game in plain clothes, armed, and using a marked police vehicle?In this episode of Lock'd Up with Copville, we break down the questions surrounding a recent incident involving Vero Beach Police officers at a local football game.According to reporting by Vero News, deputies became concerned after observing what appeared to be a civilian accessing a marked police vehicle. That person turned out to be an off-duty police officer. The situation raises bigger questions about take-home vehicle policies, communication between agencies, off-duty firearm rules, supervision, and officer safety.We also examine reports that one of the officers had previously been involved in an issue concerning carrying a firearm at a football game. If expectations had already been communicated, why did another situation occur?And there’s another question worth asking: Why was a marked police vehicle being used to attend the game in the first place? Was it simply a misunderstanding of the take-home vehicle policy, or did having the police vehicle provide parking, admission, access, or some other benefit? There is currently no evidence establishing that the officers were attempting to get into the game for free, but it is a question that deserves clarification.Most importantly, this incident shows how seemingly small policy issues can create much larger problems. Deputies believed they might be dealing with an unauthorized person accessing a police vehicle. Add plain clothes and firearms to that situation, and a misunderstanding could potentially become a serious officer-safety issue.We break down what is known, what remains unanswered, and why clear policies and consistent accountability matter.This episode is about asking questions—not assuming guilt. That access is a privilege, not a personal search engine.In this episode of Copville, we break down the case of former Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Alain Fernandez, who is accused of using restricted law-enforcement databases for personal purposes and sharing confidential information with friends and associates through text messages and Snapchat.Investigators allege the conduct wasn't an isolated mistake. Reporting on the FDLE investigation describes at least 22 alleged disclosures between 2022 and 2025, involving information associated with systems including DAVID, NCIC, and Flock license-plate-reader data.We’re digging into the questions every cop and every citizen should be asking: What happens when someone with a badge turns government databases into a tool for their friends?
