The Week That Was: Why Everyone’s Talking About Taylor Swift, Madonna & The Cornell Case
2026/10/01
CONTENT WARNING
This episode contains discussion of sexual assault, sexual violence, drug use and violence, which some listeners may find distressing.
This discussion takes place from 3:00–17:20. If you’d prefer not to listen to this conversation, please skip ahead to 17:20.
If you or someone you know has been impacted by sexual assault, domestic or family violence, support is available through 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 732 or at 1800RESPECT.org.au.
Not a great week, if we’re being honest.
Kate and Tansy begin this week with the disturbing Cornell case and a bigger conversation about sexual assault, the myth of the “perfect victim”, the men who stay silent and why calling out your mates actually matters.
Then we desperately need a change of pace.
Kate has bought herself a vintage biscuit tin as a book push present, op shops are apparently now luxury retailers, Madonna has reminded everyone why she’s Madonna, and Taylor Swift fatigue has entered the chat.
Which leads Kate and Tansy to a theory: Madonna constantly reinvented herself. Gaga does it. Beyoncé does it. Has Taylor stopped evolving?
Plus Sabrina Carpenter, the VMAs, why the pop girls need to respect their elders and Tansy’s latest obsession: SNL UK.
Heavy, silly and slightly unhinged. Just another week that was.
How Not To Be A D******d Parent (Part One)
2026/09/29
Parenting doesn't come with a manual.Unfortunately, it comes with Facebook groups.Together we're unpacking the parenting lessons that actually matter (and a few that might ruffle some feathers). From tiger parenting and Year 12 pressure, to drinking, drugs, sex, school, food, resilience and why your child doesn't need to be captain of absolutely everything.Because raising happy, capable adults isn't about creating a perfect childhood. It's about knowing when to push... when to let go... and when to simply say, "You'll survive."We also talk about why children don't need parents living through them, why it's okay for kids to quit after they've genuinely given something a go, how to have honest conversations about alcohol, drugs and sex, and why teaching your kids to laugh at themselves might be one of the greatest gifts you can give them. And yes... we also discuss Year 7 Tansy secretly smoking one of Kate's cigarettes with a nip of limoncello. As you do.Whether you're raising toddlers, teenagers, or fully-grown adult children who still ring to ask where the tomato sauce is...This one's for you.Part 2 next week!#TheBluntAndTheBeautiful #Parenting #ParentingAdvice #HowNotToBeADickheadParent #RaisingKids
Astro Talk: September 27th - October 3rd 2026
2026/09/26
Venus Retrograde in Scorpio is here — and relationships, money, self-worth and old connections are about to get LOUD.
In this weekly astrology forecast for 27 September–3 October 2026 Kate Forster breaks down the major astrology transits of the week, including Mars in Leo, Mercury entering Scorpio, the Moon in Taurus, Gemini and Cancer, and Venus turning retrograde in Scorpio.
We start the week with Mars in Leo bringing joy, creativity and a much-needed reminder that life is more than a f*****g to-do list. Then the pace slows, Mercury takes us beneath the surface, and by 2 October the energy gets edgy. Sharp tongues, power struggles and people looking for a fight? Do not take the bait.
But the biggest astrology event of the week is Venus Retrograde in Scorpio.
Over the coming weeks, relationships and old connections may resurface for review. Questions around loyalty, intimacy, shared money, control, reciprocity and self-worth could become harder to ignore.
Is this relationship giving you what you need — or just what you’ve become used to?
Kate explains what Venus Retrograde means for every zodiac sign, including your relationships, career, money, friendships, family, health and self-worth. Check your Sun sign and Rising sign for the full picture.
In this episode:
• Mars enters Leo: joy, creativity and getting your spark back
• Sun in Libra trine Uranus in Gemini
• Why 29 September is your permission slip to REST
• Mercury enters Scorpio — and why it’s time to get things finished
• Mercury square Mars and Pluto: sharp tongues and power struggles
• Venus Retrograde in Scorpio and relationships
• Exes, old friends and past connections resurfacing
• Money, intimacy, loyalty and control during Venus Retrograde
• Venus Retrograde horoscopes for Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces
• How to prepare for Mercury Retrograde next month
Don’t let the soggy middle fool you. Something is always happening in the background.
Pay attention to what comes up this week — beneath the reactions and underneath the noise. That’s where the real information is.
If this episode helped you, send it to someone who needs their Venus Retrograde forecast and subscribe to Astro Talk with Kate Forster for weekly astrology forecasts, planetary transits and practical guidance for working with the energy ahead.

The Week That Was: Brownlow Trolls, Burner Accounts & Iced Coffee
2026/09/24
This week? The Brownlow trolls have pissed off Kate Forster. And unfortunately for them, she had time.
Kate and Tansy are back for another The Week That Was, covering Brownlow fashion, Channing Tatum’s alleged burner account, Lili Reinhart’s rom-com fashion tour, Tom Cruise attempting sexy and the question currently dividing generations: can you take an iced coffee into a job interview?
First up: the Brownlow. Specifically, the women making interesting fashion choices and the people in the comments being absolute arseholes about it. After Marcus Bontempelli’s wife Neila shared the very real story behind choosing her dress just five weeks postpartum, Kate decided to start giving a little of that energy back. Turns out trolls don’t particularly enjoy being trolled.
Then, does Channing Tatum have a burner account? Allegedly. And if the internet detectives are correct, he’s using it to defend himself, comment on Zoe Kravitz and Harry Styles and tell the world what a great guy Channing Tatum is. Tansy has officially classified it as a toilet account.
Plus, Lili Reinhart recreates some of the most iconic rom-com dresses of all time, Tom Cruise is doing sexy and nobody asked him to, Barbara Cartland apparently couldn’t write while looking at an unattractive secretary, and Kate and Tansy discover they may finally be old because they agree: drink your f*****g iced coffee before the job interview.
It’s pop culture. It’s fashion. It’s toilet accounts. It’s unsolicited opinions.
It’s The Week That Was.
Watch now and tell us: iced coffee in a job interview - yes or absolutely f*****g not?

The Invisible Load (Nobody Talks About)
2026/09/22
If you've ever been lying in bed mentally writing tomorrow's lunch orders, remembering it's Book Week, wondering if the dog's been fed, planning dinner, realising you forgot to RSVP to a birthday party... while the person next to you is peacefully thinking about absolutely nothing......this episode is for you. This week we're talking about the mental load. Not the washing. Not the dishes. Not who's physically taking the bins out. We're talking about the invisible job of remembering that the bins need to go out in the first place. The endless to-do list that seems to live in women's heads. The birthdays. The permission slips. The "Can you remind me..." texts. The school emails. The family calendar. The Mother's Day gifts. The thank-you cards. The shopping list. The dinner plan. The emotional weather report of everyone in the house. And perhaps our biggest question...Why are women always the planner... but so rarely planned for?#TheBluntAndTheBeautiful #MentalLoad #EmotionalLabour #InvisibleLabour #PeoplePleasing #Relationships #Marriage
Astro Talk 21st–27th September: Aries Full Moon: What Do You Actually Want?
2026/09/19
Big things are happening in astrology this week✨ 21–27 September.
We start with possibility, get a little foggy in the middle, and end with an Aries Full Moon that could make something you’ve been managing, rather than actually addressing, impossible to ignore.
Libra season turns our attention to relationships, fairness and the compromises we’ve made without even realising it.
Midweek, emotions run high and Kate has one very important reminder: understanding why someone behaves the way they do doesn’t mean you have to put up with it.
Then comes the Aries Full Moon, asking a very simple question: What do YOU actually want? Not what you should want. Not what keeps everyone else happy. What do you want?
And as Mars moves into Leo, the week ends with a shift in energy, more confidence, creativity, pleasure and a reminder that joy isn’t something you have to earn.
This week on Astro Talk: relationships, boundaries, intuition, clarity and getting your mojo back.
The Week That Was: Sydney Sweeney, HYROX Poop-Gate & Why Macklemore Got Kicked Off Tour
2026/09/17
We said there was news this week. We weren't prepared for quite THIS much news.
Kate and Tansy unpack the HYROX incident heard around the world (yes, that one), Sydney Sweeney’s latest controversial sports betting ad, the Emmys and Shailene Woodley’s somewhat baffling red carpet moment.
Then things get a little more serious as they get into the Macklemore and Ed Sheeran controversy, the problem with claiming to be “apolitical”, and what happens when standing by your values actually comes with a price tag.
Plus: gambling, celebrity accountability, Gilmore Girls, Glenn Powell and more tangents than we care to count.
A very poo-forward week, indeed.

Permission to Age Out (Things We Simply Won't Be Doing Anymore)
2026/09/15
We've decided it's time.Time to age out of things that are exhausting, expensive, completely unnecessary... and occasionally come with a camping toilet. This week we're making a list of everything we've officially retired from. Not because we're getting older, but because we've finally realised some things simply aren't worth the bloody effort. We're saying goodbye to people pleasing, over-explaining ourselves, pretending we like things we absolutely do not, waiting to be chosen, arguing with compliments, clothes that don't fit, trends that were never meant for us, and giving a single flying f**k whether strangers on the internet approve of our lives. There are also some controversial opinions. Camping? Absolutely not. High heels? Good luck to them. Owning forty-seven coffee mugs? Kate would like to plead the fifth.Along the way we chat about grey hair, boundaries, ambition, body image, online trolls, why "no" is a complete sentence, and the glorious freedom that comes from realising you don't actually have to explain yourself to anyone. If you've ever found yourself saying, "You know what? I'm too old for this shit..." (emotionally, not chronologically), congratulations. This episode is for you.Things we're officially aging out of:- Trying to make everyone like us- Explaining our boundaries- Waiting to be chosen- Caring about trends that don't suit us- Feeling guilty for taking up space- Keeping clothes we'll "fit into one day"- Caring what strangers think online- Camping. Seriously... camping. What are you aging out of? Come and tell us - we're always looking for new things to cross off the list.#TheBluntAndTheBeautiful #AgingOut #PeoplePleasing #Boundaries #Confidence #WomenSupportingWomen #PersonalGrowth #SelfWorth #BodyImage #GreyHair #OnlineTrolls #LifeLessons #Friendship #Relationships #MentalHealth #AustralianPodcast #ComedyPodcast #Midlife #SelfAcceptance #PodcastRecommendations
Astro Talk: September 14th - 20th 2026
2026/09/12
This week’s astrology brings passion, power struggles, productive momentum and a brain that occasionally refuses to cooperate.
From the emotional intensity of the Scorpio Moon and a fiery Venus–Pluto clash, to the optimism of Sagittarius and the get-shit-done energy of Capricorn, Kate takes you through your weekly astrology forecast for 14–20 September, day by day.
Find out when the energy is right to start something important, why 15 September is absolutely not the day for that relationship or money conversation, when to rethink the plan instead of forcing it, and where the astrology is giving you a cosmic green light to actually get moving.
There are days for passion. Days for difficult conversations. Days for making decisions. And days when your brain simply needs you to stop f*****g asking so much of it.
Seven days. Seven very different moods. And a guide to working with the astrology instead of fighting against it.

The Week That Was: Royal B******t, Bieber Red Flags & The Pilates Police
2026/09/10
This week Kate and Tansy are tackling the big issues: the monarchy, the Biebers, Pilates etiquette and whether spending too long in a spa will, in Tansy’s words, “boil your bag.”
They kick off with Florence Pugh’s East of Eden, which looks beautiful, devastating and exactly like the kind of television you watch once, sob through, call a masterpiece and then never emotionally recover enough to watch again.
Then Harry and Meghan are back in the UK, Charles has apparently sent out the royal equivalent of a “just so we’re clear” email, and Kate and Tansy attempt to understand what exactly constitutes a “working royal.” Spoiler: shaking hands apparently gives you calluses.
Next, Justin and Hailey Bieber answer a series of seemingly innocent questions for W Magazine and accidentally provide enough material for an entire couples therapy session. Favourite movie? Hailey says The Grinch. Justin says The Break-Up. Favourite artist? Neither picks the other. Favourite way to relax? Finally, agreement: the spa. Which leads to some unsolicited medical commentary from Tansy that nobody asked for.
Then we meet the Pilates Police - because apparently leaving a reformer class seven minutes early is now a matter of public concern. Kate and Tansy discuss why other people’s schedules, emergencies, hamstrings and IBS are, generally speaking, none of your f*****g business.
And finally, Kate makes Channel Seven news after sharing her thoughts on increasingly controlling wedding rules, only to discover she’s been branded a “controlling woman” who “slams yucky and weird Aussie weddings.”
Chicken. Chips. Controlling.
Florence Pugh. Royal family b******t. Bieber red flags. Boiled bags. Pilates policing. Wedding dictators. And another week where the internet probably should have stayed in drafts.
Welcome to The Week That Was.

Astro Talk: September 7th - September 13th 2026
2026/09/05
This week on Astro Talk, Kate Forster breaks down the astrology of September 7–13 — and there’s a lot going on.
A Virgo New Moon brings a practical fresh start, Venus enters Scorpio and begins a deeper story around relationships, money, intimacy and self-worth, while Uranus retrograde asks us to rethink the ideas and information shaping our lives.
But this isn’t a week for blowing everything up.
It’s about noticing what keeps repeating, removing friction from your life and taking one idea seriously enough to actually begin.
Plus: creative confidence, relationship reality checks, brain fog, online scams and some very unexpected lightbulb moments.
You don’t need perfect conditions. You just need to show up.

The Week That Was: Sheep Heists, Sugar Babies & Practical F%cking Magic
2026/09/03
The Week That Was: Sheep Heists, Sugar Babies & Practical F*****g Magic
Kate and Tansy are limping towards the weekend, but thankfully the news has absolutely no intention of calming down.
This week, the Practical Magic press tour has the girls ready to grow their hair to their arse cracks and embrace their witchy era, while reports that Kendall Jenner may be bankrolling Jacob Elordi spark an important investigation into one of society’s great double standards: why is a male gold digger apparently just a classic Australian man?
Then things take a more serious turn as Kate and Tansy reflect on the death of former Bondi Rescue lifeguard and mental health advocate Matt Dee, and why sometimes the people doing the most checking in on everyone else are the ones we need to check on too.
Elsewhere, 5,500 sheep worth $1.7 million have somehow disappeared from a Queensland property - launching an immediate investigation into what Kate is calling Paddock’s 11. There are questions. There are logistics. There may have been subcontracted border collies.
Plus, they unpack the government’s $600 million crackdown on cocaine trafficking while women escaping domestic violence still face enormous waits for safe accommodation, before moving seamlessly into the truly pressing affairs of state: the absolutely cooked new US Dancing with the Stars cast.
Practical f*****g magic. Jacob Elordi’s alleged sugar-baby era. 5,500 missing sheep. Cocaine. Dancing with the Stars. Mormon Wives. Courtroom conspiracy theorists. Glee covers.
Just another completely normal week.

Astro Talk: August 30th - September 6th 2026
2026/08/29
We have made it through the Pisces lunar eclipse, but theemotional dust may still be settling. This week begins quietly before theenergy shifts and we are asked to consider what comes next.
Jupiter in Leo trine Saturn in Aries brings one of theyear’s most constructive transits, helping us turn a hopeful idea intosomething real. However, Mars square Saturn reminds us that delays are notalways rejection, and sometimes the plan simply needs adjusting.
In this episode, Kate takes you through the astrology of 29August to 5 September, with practical guidance on what to lean into and what toavoid each day. Expect honest eclipse recovery, a return of motivation, aclearer plan and permission to go home when your nervous system has alreadyleft the building.
The Week That Was: Dolly, Dickheads & Jimmy Frank
2026/08/27
This week we farewell the absolute icon that was Dolly Parton, before moving seamlessly — and we use that word very loosely — into Vanity Fair’s questionable Best Dressed list, James Franco’s spectacular descent into vertical werewolf drama, and some AFL Mad Monday behaviour that has us asking, once again: are the men okay?
We get into Richmond’s Mad Monday antics and the bigger conversation about footy culture, before ARIA’s ban on fully AI-generated music sends us down a rabbit hole involving robot sex music, AI slop and one deeply unfortunate sentence about a shaved p***y.
Plus, we unpack the Jackie O and Kyle Sandilands court case, workplace bullying and what happens when bad behaviour becomes part of the brand.
Dolly. Fashion crimes. Jimmy Frank. Pissing footballers. AI madness. Workplace bullies. Terrible segues.
As Tansy so eloquently puts it: “This is the dumbest f*****g episode.”
She may be right.

Astro Talk: August 23rd - 29th 2026
2026/08/22
This week on Astro Talk, we’re deep in the eclipse corridor and heading towards the Pisces lunar eclipse on 28 August, the final Pisces lunar eclipse in a story that has been unfolding since 2024, so let's look at what happens when people reveal themselves, or perhaps when we finally become willing to see what they’ve been showing us all along. We talk about the difference between empathy and evidence, why understanding somebody’s behaviour doesn’t mean you have to keep experiencing it, and why an old pattern returning around this eclipse doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going backwards.
Mercury moves into Virgo and gives us the gimlet eye, helping us separate what actually happened from the elaborate story our brain has constructed around it. The Sun and Mercury squaring Uranus around the eclipse can bring sudden realisations, surprising conversations, and the urge to change something immediately.
Plus, I take you through the astrology day by day with practical Do’s and Don’ts for working with each transit, including what to lean into, what to leave alone, and why the 32 minute voice note should probably remain in Drafts until the eclipse weather clears.
