Spiritual Disciplines for Daily Grace: Practicing the Sabbath, Spiritual Disciplines in Marriage, & Living It Out in Community
2026/11/03
What do spiritual disciplines actually look like in the middle of ordinary life? And how do we practice them when our personalities, seasons of life, and even our spouses approach them differently?
In this episode, we're talking about spiritual disciplines like Bible reading, prayer, fasting, solitude, Sabbath, worship, and community. We share which practices come more naturally to us, where we struggle, and what it looks like to pursue spiritual growth without turning these disciplines into another checklist.
We also talk about navigating different spiritual rhythms in marriage and inviting our communities into these practices rather than trying to pursue them alone.
Because spiritual disciplines aren't about earning God's grace. They're ways we intentionally make room to know Him, grow in faith, and live out our love for Christ in the ordinary.

Christians in the Voting Booth: Politics, Policy & Our Responsibility as Believers
2026/10/27
With the midterm elections coming up, we’re talking about Christians, voting, and what it looks like to engage faithfully in a world that doesn’t share our values.
We start with a little civics lesson before wrestling with some bigger questions: Should Christians seek a more godly culture? When voting, should we prioritize a candidate’s character or their policies? And if the church is called to be the primary force for godliness, what role should politics play?
We’re talking about seeking justice, loving mercy, and remembering that our ultimate hope isn’t in any political party or elected official. So what does faithful Christian citizenship look like?

How to Counsel Your Friends (Without Being Their Therapist): How to Handle Others’ Emotions, Ask Good Questions & Be a Good Friend
2026/10/13
How do we care for our friends when they're struggling with difficult emotions? When do we listen and encourage, and when do we lovingly challenge them?
In this episode, we're wrapping up our emotions series and continuing our conversation about Christian community. We talk about what it looks like to walk alongside our friends with both compassion and biblical truth, from validating someone's feelings without automatically validating their perspective to asking thoughtful questions that help them examine their own hearts.
We also discuss the importance of active listening, discerning when to challenge someone, and knowing the difference between encouraging a friend and simply telling them what they want to hear. How can we help one another turn to Scripture, pray specifically for each other, and grow in wisdom without trying to diagnose or fix every problem?
Finally, we talk about the limits of our own ability to help and recognizing when a friend might need additional support from a pastor, counselor, or other professional.
Christian friendship is about more than making each other feel better. We're called to bear one another's burdens, restore one another gently, and encourage one another in truth. So how do we do that well? Let's talk about it!

Slaves to Our Emotions: A Follow-Up on Anger, Therapeutic Shortfalls & Reconciling Our Feelings with Scripture
2026/10/06
As two psychology majors, we’ve spent a lot of time learning about emotions, thoughts, behavior, and the ways they all influence one another. But what happens when the therapeutic framework we’re given doesn’t line up with the word of God?
In this episode, we’re talking honestly about some of the places we believe modern therapeutic culture can fall short, especially when it comes to emotions and self-control. Abby shares personally about her own struggle with anger and why, for her, the distance between anger and bitterness or rage can feel dangerously small. We unpack the difference between acknowledging an emotion and justifying it, and why we have to be careful about validating feelings that may be leading us toward sin.
We talk about the difference between suppressing our emotions, battling them, and exercising godly self-control over them—because having control over your emotions doesn’t mean pretending they aren’t there.
This isn’t a conversation about pretending emotions don’t matter. It’s about learning to bring our emotions under the authority of God’s Word rather than allowing our feelings to become our Holy Spirit.

Faith & Abby Disagree… Again: Motherhood, Anger & What It Means to Live in Light of the Gospel
2026/09/29
It’s been a challenging week for Abby, but in the middle of motherhood, big emotions, and unmet expectations, the Lord has been reminding her of what actually matters.
In this episode, Abby shares some of the things God has been teaching her lately: that the goal of motherhood isn’t well-behaved children or simply making it to the end of the day, but raising children who know Jesus and that our only true hope and satisfaction is found in Christ.
Faith and Abby also talk about what it looks like to actually live connected to the Gospel in our ordinary, everyday lives, and how pursuing the fruit of the Spirit changes the way we respond to the people and circumstances around us.
And then… Faith and Abby disagree. Again. This time, they’re talking about anger: Is anger itself a sin? Where is the line between righteous anger, sinful anger, rage, and bitterness? And how much control do we actually have over our emotions?
It’s honest, a little tense, and ultimately a conversation about what it looks like to keep coming back to Christ in the middle of real life.

Confession & Community: Sin, Redemption, & Displaying the Gospel with Gracin Johnson
2026/09/22
Why is confession so uncommon in the modern church when Scripture calls us to confess our sins to one another?
In this episode, we’re joined by Gracin Johnson to talk about the beauty, difficulty, and importance of confession in Christian community. We unpack what confession looks like, why we should practice it, and how to find people who are safe and trustworthy enough to invite into the messier parts of our lives.
Gracin takes us to the Old Testament and we discuss how openly Scripture displays both the reality of sin and the redemption God brings from it. When we’re willing to share not only where we’ve sinned, but how God has redeemed us, our testimonies become a picture of the Gospel for the people around us.
Confession isn’t always comfortable, and it isn’t always received the way we hope. But we are called to confess, to walk honestly with one another, and to pursue the healing that comes through bringing sin into the light. When we do, we get to see God’s forgiveness and redemption displayed through His people and point one another back to Christ and the beauty of the Gospel.

Submitting When You Don’t Feel Like You Need To: A Heart Posture of Honor
2026/09/15
What does submission look like when you don’t feel like you need to submit?
In this episode, we’re talking about biblical submission as a heart posture towards your husband, not simply as deciding to let you husband have the final say. We unpack the Fall, the husband’s role as head of the family, and what it looks like for a wife to cultivate a culture that honors her husband’s leadership.
We also talk about the fine line between helping your husband lead and trying to lead him yourself: when does sharing your thoughts become nagging? When does helping become controlling? And what does it look like to genuinely respect your husband’s leadership even when he gives you the freedom to make a decision?
Stick around until the end as we answer your listener questions about submission, leadership, and marriage!
God’s design for marriage is good. As we submit ourselves to Christ, we can trust His design for marriage too, cultivating homes marked by honor, respect, and freedom rather than competition for control.

Sacredly Ordinary Stewardship: Your Home, Treasures & Time for God's Glory
2026/09/08
What if we stopped waiting until we had more space, more money, or more time to start stewarding what God has already given us?
In this episode, we're talking about what it looks like to faithfully steward our homes, resources, and time for the glory of God—even when we feel like we don't have much to give. We share practical ways to make the most of small spaces, give generously without always giving money, and remember that everything we have (including our favorite thrifted treasures!!) ultimately belongs to the Lord.
We also talk about making the most of our time: finding ways to prioritize community, serve others, spend time with our kids, and even turn everyday errands into opportunities for connection.
You don't need a big house, a huge budget, or endless free time to live generously. Stewardship starts with faithfully using what God has already placed in your hands.

The Art of Friendship: Healthy Relationships, Community & Building Your Village
2026/08/24
In this episode, we're having an honest conversation about friendship—what friendships are missing today, what makes a relationship healthy, and why building meaningful community can feel so difficult.
We talk about how to know when to stick around and work through the hard parts of a friendship versus when it's time to move on, as well as how to intentionally build the kind of village we're all longing for. From investing in familiar faces and expanding our friendships across generations to building an inner circle and learning to see everyone as someone worthy of love, we explore what it looks like to pursue community with greater intention.
Most importantly, we challenge the idea that friendship is only about finding people who can meet our needs. What if we stopped asking, "Who can be my village?" and started asking, "How can I help build one?"
This is a practical and encouraging conversation about loving people well, building deeper relationships, and creating the kind of community we all hope to find.
The Truth of Motherhood: Hard Isn’t Bad, Idolizing Motherhood, & Community in Marriage
2026/08/18
In this episode, we're talking honestly about the hard parts of motherhood—and why hard isn't something that is all bad. We unpack the pressure to romanticize or dread the early years, the ways we may sometimes make motherhood harder than it needs to be, and the reminder that difficult seasons are still just that: seasons.
We also talk about finding hope and purpose in the hard, remembering that Christ's power is made perfect in our weakness and that His presence and guidance are sufficient for us.
Finally, we zoom out to marriage and talk about prioritizing your spouse when life gets busy—whether that busyness comes from work, church, community, or raising a family.
A real and encouraging conversation about motherhood, marriage, sacrifice, and learning to see the hard seasons of life through a bigger, more hopeful lens.
Marriage Conflict: Supporting Your Spouse, Repairing Hurt & Handling Disagreements
2026/08/11
What do you do when you disagree with your spouse? When should you support your spouse through a struggle, and when should you lovingly challenge them? And what happens when you say something you wish you could take back?
In this episode, we're getting practical about conflict in marriage and the messy moments that come with learning how to love another person well. We talk about supporting and challenging our spouses, repairing after we've hurt each other, navigating disagreements, and what it looks like to actually work through conflict rather than simply avoid it.
We also tackle the question every married couple eventually faces: when you can't agree, who gets the final say? Through it all, we talk about the biblical foundation for marriage, humility, forgiveness, communication, and learning to pursue unity without pretending we will always see eye to eye.
Let’s Catch Up: Birth Story, Making Friends, & Redemption Stories
2026/08/04
After a little break, we're finally back behind the microphones! In this catch-up episode, we're sharing some of the biggest updates from the past few months and reflecting on God's faithfulness through it all.
Abby shares her birth story and what life has looked like in this new season of motherhood, while Faith opens up about adjusting to a new state, finding community, and the ways God has met her through change. Together, we reflect on the redemption stories God has been writing in both of our lives and the hope we've found in seasons that didn't always unfold the way we expected.
This episode is simply two friends catching up—sharing honestly, celebrating God's faithfulness, and inviting you into the conversations we've been longing to have with you again. We're so glad you're here.
The Hormone Phases of a Woman: Cycle Seasons, Natural Remedies, & Learning About Our Bodies
2026/07/21
In this solo episode, Faith is diving into the basics of women's hormones in a simple, approachable way. She gives a brief overview of the four phases of the menstrual cycle, how our hormones naturally shift throughout the month, and why understanding our bodies can help us steward our health with greater wisdom.
The conversation also covers practical ways to support hormone health, including cycle tracking, natural remedies, a basic introduction to homeopathy, and a few supplements that may be worth looking into as you begin your own health journey.
This isn't a deep scientific dive or medical advice—just a casual, educational girl chat designed to help you better understand the incredible way God designed the female body and encourage you to take small, sustainable steps toward supporting your health.
