1 Corinthians 5:1–13 | Ps Megan Jung
This week on the Newlife Coomera Podcast, Ps Megan Jung from Newlife Robina teaches from 1 Corinthians 5:1–13.
Paul challenges the church to take sin seriously—not from judgement, but from genuine love.
Megan explores three truths from the passage: tolerance isn’t love, sin spreads and silence is dangerous, and real love speaks the truth.
We are called to be a community shaped by both grace and truth, lovingly pointing one another back to Jesus as we become more people, more like Jesus.
1 Corinthians 3:1–23 || Bek Stevens

1 Corinthians 3:1–23 || Bek Stevens
This week on the Newlife Coomera Podcast, Bek Stevens continues our journey through 1 Corinthians, teaching from 1 Corinthians 3:1–23.
Paul challenges the Corinthian church to grow into spiritual maturity, confronting the jealousy, pride, and division that had taken root among them. He reminds us that while different people may plant and water, it is God who gives the growth.
Bek unpacks what it means to build our lives and our church on the only true foundation—Jesus Christ. Rather than finding our identity in leaders, ministries, achievements, or ourselves, we are called to remember that we belong to Christ and that together we are God’s temple, with His Spirit dwelling among us.
Sitting At The Feet Of Jesus: Rev Ralph Mayhew || Luke 10:38-42
2026/08/18
Sitting at the Feet of Jesus | Luke 10:38–42 | Rev. Ralph Mayhew
This week on the Newlife Coomera Podcast, we are joined by guest minister Rev. Ralph Mayhew, preaching from Luke 10:38–42 and the story of Mary and Martha.
In the busyness and demands of life, it can be easy to become distracted by everything that needs to be done—even good things. Yet Jesus invites us into something deeper: to slow down, sit at His feet, and be present with Him.
Through this message, Ralph encourages us to consider what has captured our attention and reminds us that before our activity for Jesus comes our relationship with Jesus. Like Mary, may we learn to choose what is better—to sit at the feet of Jesus, listen to His voice, and make His presence our priority.
1 Corinthians: In Christ Alone || Bek Stevens
2026/08/02
Christ Alone | 1 Corinthians 1:10–17 | Bek Stevens
This week on the Newlife Podcast, Bek Stevens continues our 1 Corinthians series by unpacking 1 Corinthians 1:10–17.
Paul confronts the divisions that had begun to form within the church as people aligned themselves with different leaders rather than with Christ. His call is clear: our faith is in Christ alone. We are not called to use Jesus' name to elevate ourselves, our preferences, or our allegiances above others. Instead, we are united by the gospel and find our identity together in Him.
Bek also explores how subtly pride can creep into our hearts. We can begin to elevate ourselves above our brothers and sisters in Christ, believing our convictions, ministries, leaders, or preferences make us superior. At the same time, we often idolise things that are inherently good—leaders, traditions, theology, spiritual gifts, or ministries—and allow them to take the place that belongs to Christ alone. When good things become ultimate things, pride grows, unity is fractured, and division follows.
Join us as we discover the freedom of fixing our eyes on Jesus, cultivating humility, and becoming a church united by the cross rather than divided by our idols.
1 Corinthians: The Wisdom Of The Cross || Rev Michael Hands
2026/07/26

This week on the Newlife Podcast, Rev. Michael Hands continues our journey through 1 Corinthians, exploring 1 Corinthians 1:18–31 and 2:1–5.
In a world that prizes human wisdom, success, and strength, Paul points us to the surprising power of the gospel. The message of the cross may seem foolish by the world's standards, yet it is the very wisdom and power of God for those who believe.
Join us as we discover why the Christian life is built not on impressive words or human ability, but on the power of God revealed through Christ crucified.
1 Corinthians: Identity in Christ || Bek Stevens
2026/07/22
Identity in Christ | 1 Corinthians 1:1–9 | Bek Stevens
What shapes your identity? In the opening message of our new 1 Corinthians series, Bek Stevens unpacks 1 Corinthians 1:1–9, where Paul reminds the church that their identity is rooted not in their performance, past, or circumstances, but in the grace and faithfulness of God.
Before addressing the challenges facing the Corinthian church, Paul first points them to who they are in Christ—called, sanctified, and equipped by God's grace. This message invites us to rediscover our true identity and live with confidence in the One who is faithful to complete what He has begun.
