Romantasy Roundtable: A Court of Wings & Ruin
2026/10/09
Group book therapy is back in session! 📚
Our next Romantasy Roundtable takes us back to Prythian for A Court of Wings & Ruin by Sarah J. Maas! We’ve already therapized our way through the first two books, and with A Court of Splintered Harmony releasing later this month, it’s officially time to keep the ACOTAR reread going.
This time, Whit & Kenz are joined by our Bookstagram friends Lauren and Abbe, and we LOVED hearing the remedies they pulled from this book.
Lauren dives into the beginning of Nesta’s character arc and Feysand’s shifting relationship. There’s a lot we can learn from the way those dynamics change throughout ACOWAR. Abbe explores Feyre’s encounter with the Suriel and the Ouroboros, and the lessons they offer about recognizing our own inner strength. And Kenzi? She somehow found another remedy in Lucien’s story. We’re sensing a pattern here. That foxboy has officially found his way into every Roundtable. 🦊
Of course, no Roundtable stays completely on topic. We take plenty of side quests including the various levels of enjoying the Maasverse, what we’re hoping to see in the books ahead, and all the theories (or lack thereof) heading into the next release.
Some of us have carefully considered predictions. Some of us just want confirmation that Azriel really does have the largest wingspan. Either way, we had an absolute blast talking about this book.
🎧 Come for the laughs, stay for the lessons, and join us for another round of group book therapy! Then send this episode to the friend who also needs answers about Az’s wingspan.
And go follow Lauren and Abbe on Instagram immediately!!! 🖤

The Lion & the Deathless Dark, Ch. 35-59, It Ends With Me
2026/10/02
At this point, we may need to rename the podcast Septimus Remedy. 🩸😂
Whit & Kenz are back in book therapy for chapters 35–59 of The Lion & the Deathless Dark by Carissa Broadbent, and somehow, every new Septimus reveal gives us approximately 47 more things to discuss.
Kenzi’s remedy explores the idea that we rarely see the entire picture of who someone is. We make judgments based on the pieces we can see, but there are histories, motivations, relationships, and experiences beneath the surface that can completely change our understanding of a person. And if anyone was designed to prove that point, it’s Septimus.
Whitney’s remedy looks at how loving someone can motivate us to make the world better. Not just for them, but for the people who come after us. Sometimes love gives us a reason to fight for a future we may never get to experience ourselves. 🖤
This week’s affirmation: It Ends With Me.
There’s also plenty of fangirling over everyone’s favorite sentient sword, Zefiah, because obviously she deserves her own moment. ⚔️
And if you’ve read the other Crowns of Nyaxia books, do NOT skip Spoiler Central. The connections are connecting, the pieces are falling into place, and we have a LOT to discuss. 👀
🎧 Come to book therapy with us for another very Septimus-inspired session. Grab your copy, press play, and join Whit & Kenz as we unpack chapters 35–59!

The Lion & the Deathless Dark, Ch. 1-34, Use Your Edge
2026/09/18
THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME. 🩸📚
After all those episodes of Septimus Watch, Whit & Kenz are finally diving into The Lion & the Deathless Dark by Carissa Broadbent! And more importantly, it’s officially time to talk about Whitney’s favorite morally gray vampire: SEPTIMUS.
And book therapy is in FULL swing.
Kenzi’s remedy explores how fate isn’t always changed through one grand, heroic gesture. Sometimes it’s the small moments, the seemingly insignificant choices, and the tiny steps we take over time that eventually add up to something much bigger.
Whitney, meanwhile, has been completely wooed by Seppy reading to Kyrene. Because apparently the ultimate combination of book therapy and couples therapy is noticing what brings someone you love a little peace in this crazy life. Then quietly giving them more of it. 🥹📖
Of course, we have to talk about Erekkus because…Carissa…WHY?!? We would like to file a formal complaint.
✨ This week’s affirmation: Use Your Edge.
And if you’re caught up on the Crowns of Nyaxia series, stick around for Spoiler Central. We’re making connections to previous books, revisiting some very interesting Septimus moments, and becoming increasingly convinced of one thing:
Septimus is the ultimate mastermind. 👀
So grab your copy, settle in, and come to book therapy with us. Whether you’ve been on Septimus Watch from the beginning or you’re just now discovering what all the Seppy fuss is about, we want you in this conversation.
🎧 Press play and join Whit & Kenz for the beginning of Seppy season.

Summer in September Book Chat
2026/09/18
Is it still a Summer Book Chat if you don’t release it until September? Asking for two podcasters who had every intention of editing this sooner. 😂
Life got busy, editing did not happen, and here we are. So consider this your slightly delayed invitation to hang out with Whit & Kenz as they catch up on all things books and reading from their summer.
They’re talking about what they’ve been reading, upcoming releases they were excited about, the very specific joy of preordering a book months before you can actually hold it, and the dangers of reading while exhausted.
Plus, Whitney shares the tale of the disastrous ACOTAR misprint, because apparently even buying a book can become an entire saga.
Fair warning: because we recorded this during the actual summer, you may hear a few dates, releases, and comments that are now hilariously out of date. We’re here for vibes, not accuracy. ✌️
No chapters to recap. No homework required. Just two friends talking about books, reading life, and everything in between.
🎧 Come hang out with Whit & Kenz for a very belated Summer Book Chat!

Romantasy Roundtable: A Court of Mist & Fury
2026/08/28
Group book therapy is back in session! ✨📚
For our second Romantasy Roundtable, Whit & Kenz are joined by their friend Sara from @acourtofbookishfury to talk all things A Court of Mist & Fury by Sarah J. Maas. With ACOTAR 6 coming in October, there’s no better time to revisit one of the most iconic books in the series, and unpack the remedies we’re still carrying with us.
Kenzi focuses on Feyre’s journey and what we can learn from watching her rediscover herself. Sara explores the many ways trauma shows up throughout the story, while Whitney breaks down the components that make real transformation possible. And because it would be physically impossible to discuss ACOMAF without fangirling over Rhysand, expect a very healthy dose of High Lord appreciation along the way. 🖤
Then Sara puts on her mastermind cap, leading Whit & Kenz through her theories, predictions, and questions about what could be waiting for us in ACOTAR 6. 👀
Go follow Sara on Instagram and Tik Tok @acourtofbookishfury, and share this episode with the ACOTAR friend you’d want sitting beside you at group book therapy.
October is coming. The reread is ON. 🌙✨

Romantasy Roundtable: A Court of Thorns & Roses
2026/08/07
It’s finally here! Our first-ever Romantasy Roundtable! 🖤✨
Whit & Kenz are joined by three bookstagram besties for a group chat all about A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. With Book 6 on the horizon this October, there’s no better time to return to the series that introduced so many of us to romantasy.
This isn’t a recap; it’s a celebration of the story that started it all.
Alex shares how Feyre’s resilience and determination inspired her personally. Jada explores one of the novel’s most powerful ideas: love in all its forms. Romantic, familial, sacrificial, and found. Justina offers a perspective every book-loving mama will appreciate as she reflects on how mothers can see themselves in Feyre’s journey and the weight of carrying others through impossible circumstances.
Of course, no ACOTAR discussion would be complete without a few entertaining side quests. Expect plenty of Lucien fangirling, some passionate Azriel shipping, a healthy dose of Mor speculation, and all the delightful rabbit trails that happen when fantasy readers gather around the same table.
It was fun. It was healing. It was everything we hoped our first Roundtable would be.
After you listen, be sure to follow these incredible ladies on Instagram and share this episode with your fellow ACOTAR fans. Because book therapy is even better when everyone joins the conversation. 🦇📚✨

Ep 3 The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk: Chapters 61-89
2026/07/24
It’s the end of another Crowns of Nyaxia journey, and we are definitely feeling it. 🖤
In this final episode covering The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk by Carissa Broadbent, Whit & Kenz dive into chapters 61–89, sharing the moments that became our book therapy and wrapping up Mische’s unforgettable story.
For Kenzi, it’s all about the beautifully messy, deeply relatable relationships that make this book so compelling. Friends, mentors, allies, and enemies; this story reminds us that the people in our lives can shape us, challenge us, and ultimately help define who we become.
For Whitney, the standout moment is watching Mische forge her own fate and finally become the queen we always knew she could be. We talk about how life’s unexpected hardships can refine us, preparing us for purposes we never could have imagined.
✨ This week’s affirmation: It’s not over.
To close out our coverage, we head to Spoiler Central to connect the dots across the Crowns of Nyaxia. We spend extra time unpacking the epilogue and discussing how it sets the stage for The Lion and the Deathless Dark, which releases in less than a month. If you’re caught up on the series, you won’t want to miss the theories and excitement for what’s coming next.
Thank you for joining us throughout our journey through The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk. We hope these episodes have been as therapeutic for you as they were for us.

Ep 2 The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk: Chapters 30-60
2026/07/17
Book therapy is back! 🖤
This week on Romantasy Remedy, Whit & Kenz dive into chapters 30–60 of The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk by Carissa Broadbent, unpacking the moments that became our remedies and the lessons we’re taking into real life.
Whitney explores how Mische’s existence as a wraith invites us to appreciate the small, everyday things we so often overlook: the simple moments, sensations, and connections that remind us what it truly means to be alive.
Meanwhile, Kenzi spends some quality time with everyone’s favorite vampire heartthrob, Atrius, highlighting the wisdom, compassion, and unforgettable moments that continue to make him one of the best male main characters in the Crowns of Nyaxia.
Of course, we couldn’t resist heading into Spoiler Central, where we connect the dots across the Crowns of Nyaxia universe, share theories, and discuss how these chapters fit into the bigger story.
✨ This week’s affirmation: I will love you anyway.
Join us for another round of laughter, healing, and great book therapy. If you’re enjoying the podcast, we’d be so grateful if you’d listen, rate, review, and share Romantasy Remedy with a fellow romantasy reader. Ep 1 The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk: Chapters 1-30
2026/07/10
The wait is over! It’s time to return to the world of the Crowns of Nyaxia! 🩸✨
In this week’s episode of Romantasy Remedy, Whit & Kenz begin their coverage of chapters 1–30 of The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk by Carissa Broadbent, and the book therapy starts immediately.
As always, we’re sharing the moments that became our remedies. The scenes that challenged us, encouraged us, and reminded us why romantasy is so much more than a love story.
Kenzi kicks off what quickly becomes a full-fledged Vincent appreciation campaign. His wisdom, mentorship, and unwavering guidance are exactly the kind of book therapy we all need. Meanwhile, Whitney is absolutely swooning as Asar takes the phrase “burn the world for her” to an entirely new level. If protective male main characters are your thing, buckle up.
And of course, Spoiler Central is packed with connections across the Crowns of Nyaxia universe, including an especially juicy installment of Septimus Watch that has us asking all the right questions.
✨ This week’s affirmation: Seize the chances you are given.

Ep 3 The Songbird & the Heart of Stone: Chapters 42-48
2026/06/12
The journey is almost over, and what a journey it has been. 🖤
In this episode of Romantasy Remedy, Whit & Kenz dive into chapters 42–48 of The Songbird & the Heart of Stone by Carissa Broadbent, and we’re bringing plenty of book therapy along the way.
This week, both of our remedies center on Mische’s powerful journey toward claiming her own identity and self-worth. Through impossible choices, painful truths, and moments of hard-earned growth, Mische continues to discover who she is beyond what others expect her to be; and we’re here for every emotional step of the journey.
Of course, we also have to talk about that ending. The final chapters delivered twists, revelations, and emotional damage in equal measure, and we’re unpacking it all. If you’ve read beyond this book, be sure to stick around for Spoiler Central, where we’re connecting dots across the Crowns of Nyaxia series, discussing lingering questions, and sharing our latest theories.
✨ This week’s affirmation: Make Death Afraid of You.
Whether you’re processing the ending, cheering for Mische, or just here for another dose of romantasy book therapy, we’ve got you covered.

2026/05/29
It’s time for another round of book therapy with Romantasy Remedy. 🖤✨
In this episode, Whit & Kenz continue their journey through The Songbird & the Heart of Stone by Carissa Broadbent, diving into chapters 22–41 and all the emotional damage, healing, and yearning that comes with them.
This week’s remedies center around Mische and Asar, and the beautiful, heartbreaking ways Asar helps Mische begin to understand what love is supposed to feel like. Ep 1 The Songbird & the Heart of Stone: Chapters 1-21
2026/05/22
We’re officially entering the Shadowborn era. 🖤
In this week’s episode of Romantasy Remedy, Whit & Kenz begin their coverage of The Songbird & the Heart of Stone by Carissa Broadbent (the first book in the Shadowborn Duet) and we could not be more excited to finally be in Mische’s POV. Everyone’s favorite sunshiney vampire deserves her moment, and we are already emotionally attached.
As always, we’re sharing the moments that acted as our remedies and book therapy this week. For Kenzi, it was the way Asar quietly created sanctuaries in the darkness of Morthryn. For Whitney, it was watching Mische realize that Asar may not be the monster his reputation suggested after all.
Of course, no Romantasy Remedy episode would be complete without side quests, so expect detours into topics including (but definitely not limited to): Sleep Token, the carpool lane experience, and dogs. Because somehow it all connects back to book therapy eventually.
And if you’ve already finished the entire Crowns of Nyaxia series, be sure to stick around for Spoiler Central at the end of the episode. We’re connecting dots, sharing theories, and spiraling over all the things we definitely can’t discuss safely in the main episode. 👀
Come hang out with us, spiral over vampires, and start the Shadowborn journey together. ✨

Tabitha Slick Book Chat
2026/05/08
This week’s Romantasy Remedy is extra special because Whit & Kenz are joined by romantasy author, Tabitha Slick, for a fun, heartfelt, and hilariously relatable book chat episode. ✨📚🍷
Together, they dive into Blood & Bordeaux, one of Tabitha’s many books featuring what she loves to write most: strong, middle-aged female main characters who prove romance, adventure, healing, and self-discovery don’t end at twenty-five.
Whit & Kenz chat with Tabitha about her journey to becoming an author, the inspirations behind her characters, balancing creativity with real life, and her advice for other busy women who dream of writing their own stories someday. And of course, no episode of Romantasy Remedy would be complete without discussing the ultimate question: what were Tabitha’s personal romantasy remedies from Blood & Bordeaux?
It’s a cozy, funny, and inspiring conversation full of bookish chaos, writing wisdom, and plenty of love for women claiming space in fantasy romance stories.
Be sure to check out Tabitha’s books after the episode and come back on May 22nd when Whit & Kenz begin covering The Songbird & the Heart of Stone by Carissa Broadbent, the next installment in the Crowns of Nyaxia universe. 🖤🩸

What We've Been Reading Book Chat
2026/05/01
It’s time for a chaotic catch-up with your favorite book besties 🖤✨
In this Book Chat episode of Romantasy Remedy, Whit & Kenzie are diving into everything they’ve been reading lately, and the spirals are very real.
Kenzie is officially feral over The Wolf King series by Lauren Palphreyman. But there’s a problem. A major one. The love triangle has her fully unwell. Team Callum or Team Blake?! She cannot decide, will not decide, and frankly may never recover.
Meanwhile, Whitney received the ultimate birthday gift: an early copy of The Lion and the Deathless Dark by Carissa Broadbent. She’s keeping things spoiler-free, but one thing is certain: Septimus has officially claimed the #1 vampire spot. No notes. No competition.
As always, the conversation takes a few delightful detours. Think Bat Boys, 2026 book release excitement, and a little love for Sleep Token. Because what’s a Romantasy Remedy episode without a few side quests?
Mark your calendars for an author interview with Tabitha Slick on May 8th and the first episode covering The Songbird & the Heart of Stone on May 22nd! Until then, happy reading!
