Sweating with 5K strangers | Kenny Santucci on Training Jon Bon Jovi, The Challenge & a Torn Bicep
2026/09/29
I lay it all out with Kenny Santucci, the guy your trainer's trainer calls, who spent three years training Jon Bon Jovi and built out his home gym. We get into the bicep that came off the bone mid workout, calling his own doctor at 10pm, and why his Canadian friend is flying to America to pay out of pocket instead of waiting 16 weeks to be seen. He breaks down why gym owners keep fighting over the same six people, how gyms keep raising prices while trainers get paid a flat hourly rate, and Strong New York, his 5,000 person fitness party with saunas, cold plunges and a whole street shut down. There's also the open casting call that put him on The Challenge at 20 years old, lunch at Johnny Bananas' house, and how the MTV guys ended up in Buffalo asking me where to eat. Chapters 00:11 – Kenny Santucci and Strong New York, New York City's largest annual fitness and wellness festival 02:15 – American vs Canadian healthcare and the 16-week wait for surgery 06:00 – Getting into the gym at 230 pounds because Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Hulk Hogan all did 07:33 – Twelve jobs before 16, and Madi's borderline lesbian rugby summer 08:11 – Why he could retire off OnlyFans but won't 10:44 – Why the Buffalo Bills are the only true New York team 13:28 – Rebranding a mobile sauna company into Buffalo's biggest TV feature 14:47 – Inside Strong New York, 5,000 people and 100 activations built by a team of 12 17:19 – Training Jon Bon Jovi, who almost bought the Buffalo Bills?? 18:09 – Why trainers now out-earn finance guys, and the yacht video that landed Kim Kardashian's trainer 20:49 – Why exercise beats every peptide and biohack 24:13 – Where to get the best cocktails and steak in NYC 28:12 – Madi's death row cheeseburger and no fast food in 11 years 32:09 – Why a strong back beats legs and ass 37:20 – Her SIBO nightmare and refusing the surgery that leaves most with a colostomy bag 42:00 – Buying what he sells with four gym memberships 48:00 – Getting cast on The Challenge at 20 and staying tight with Johnny Bananas Come on the pod, sponsor an episode, collab, or just reach outΒ  ▫️ https://linktr.ee/maditellsall Follow my world outside the podcast (food, tailgates, health, behind-the-scenes life) ▫️ https://linktr.ee/madelinehall.nyc Thanks for being here guys. Why are gyms ALWAYS hiring??? | Bobby Westside on Hyrox, Muscle Myths & Hangover Cures
2026/09/22
I'm unpacking the fitness industry with Bobby Westside, a New York City trainer who built his own platform for finding trainers after five years inside Barry's. We get into why the now hiring sign never comes down, what a client pays versus what a trainer takes home, and the nine minute video about Barry's banning coaches from working anywhere else, half a million views, everyone still there furious. He breaks down Hyrox taking over, muscle working like a pyramid scheme, lifting heavy over hot yoga, cold plunges as hangover care, and the Ozempic conversation nobody says out loud. Then it turns into my first Hinge date and the man who unpacked gum, drugs, and a vape onto the table, why sex is easy and connection is hard, and a death row meal that is somehow a 20 piece McNugget. 2026/08/25
I'm hanging out with Zach Zucker, the clown school trained performer who swears he's not a comedian, to talk feet pics at the Edinburgh Fringe, sugar daddy sites, and why he thinks he's funnier than every comic doing crowd work in jeans and a t-shirt. We get into the crowd work epidemic, why comedy clubs feel predatorial, getting fired by his agents in 2021, and how playing the internet game blew up a career he'd already spent a decade building overseas. Zach breaks down 10 years of Stamptown, his absurdist variety show turned Netflix special dropping the same day this episode does, August 25th. I also went on set for an NBC show with Kelsey Grammer, who apparently fell in love twice in Buffalo, ended up at a 35-person private premiere for Nina Dobrev's new movie with Andrew Garfield in the room, and got into the chaos of being late to my own recording because World Cup traffic tripled the city overnight. STRANGERS got us to Montauk?? | Nobody Planned This 4th of July
2026/07/28
I lay it all out on the most unhinged, completely unplanned 4th of July that started with a Hampton invite getting pulled two nights before and ended with us on a stranger's boat to Montauk. Me, Lindsay, and our new friend Kim, a Googler from Chelsea we literally just met, pack into my car with my cat Winnie and say Connecticut, question mark. We end up in New Haven for tapas and pool, a beach bar in Fairfield where a Brazilian man told me I was God's gift to earth and then immediately said way too much, and Mystic for oysters, a treehouse bar, and award winning ice cream. Then Lindsay runs into a guy in the bathroom who invites us to Montauk the next day on his family's boat and we obviously say yes. We cruise through the Hamptons, hit Montauk Brewery, and spend the whole next day with John's family and his crew of Stockholm boys who flew in for the weekend. We book an extra hotel night, do karaoke until 2am, and drive back to NYC at 5 in the morning because why not. Winnie loved it. 00:12 – The Hamptons trip that fell apart two nights out when the price doubled and the bedroom became a basement air mattress 02:15 – Emily's Connecticut pitch and booking a random hotel in Branford 04:17 – My cat, Winnie coming along after a dream, the 104 degree day trip, and discovering Yale is that close to NYC 05:26 – The New Haven tapas and tequila spot, cast iron mac and cheese, and the gay guys at the bar who handed over the whole itinerary 06:36 – The Pavilion being Sunset Beach Club and Mickey Ratz to a T, the parking note left on the windshield, and finding out Connecticut has Guidos 07:31 – The Brazilian man with the God's gift to earth compliment over the polka dot top, the beach makeout, and the two cops who caught themselves mid story 10:35 – The freckles and licking lines that killed it, offering the steak dinner or picnic option, and the love bombing that stopped cold after Mystic 13:22 – Mystic on the 4th of July, the family at Red 36 whose every suggestion got taken, and running into them again up in the tree house 16:01 – Bravo Bravo's lobster pasta and another blue cheese olive martini, Drawbridge ice cream, and Lindsay clocking the one single guy in THE BATHROOM 17:34 – Manifesting a boat and getting a 60 year old creeper, then John's family welcoming everyone aboard like lifelong friends 20:23 – Montauk Brewery's 40 million dollar sale, finally seeing Surf Lodge and the Neutrogena party Lindsay had turned down, and the extra hotel night 20:48 – Burgers at John's house, karaoke butchering a Britney duet, and the 5am drive back to the city 23:39 – The Stockholm crew and the red eye trip already being planned, plus the whole point being talk to strangers and shoot your shot Come on the pod, sponsor an episode, collab, or just reach outΒ  ▫️ https://linktr.ee/maditellsall Follow my world outside the podcast (food, tailgates, health, behind-the-scenes life) ▫️ https://linktr.ee/madelinehall.nyc Thanks for being here guys. Then the real estate side, condos as the investment play, what $500k can actually buy in Manhattan, three bedroom rents going $10k to $18k, and dating rules: mama's boys make good husbands, he needs a path, and stop asking what someone does for work in the first five minutes.
