Judy has to cut through the noise to try to discern what’s best for the mom, the dad, the kid and the car.  In our second case, everyone’s least favorite person, a Contractor, stiffed a homeowner after they agreed on a price for painting her house. No surprise, after he slowly started doing the job, he decided to jack up the price. Judy has to try to make sense of what, if anything, the homeowner is owed based on what she already paid and what she eventually had to pay to get somebody else to do the job the Contractor didn’t do.  Once we wrap up with the cases, the real fun begins, because then it’s my turn to Judge Judy. Based on an entirely arbitrary set of criteria(in the vein of Whose Line Is It Anyway?), I take what Judy did, what she said, and how she acted and I determine if she did her job or not. If she did, she’s innocent. If not, she’s guilty. We try to keep it light. We try to keep it simple. We try to keep it fun. But that doesn’t mean we don’t take our job seriously!
